I found out today that kills from Giselle's traps count towards Giant Killer because it's the traps that are considered to be doing the killing and they have no HP

Is there any way to repeat quest missions from town NPCs? I want to get machine hunter ezpz by doing that one mission with the 50 shitty drones.
>>2514203Yes, talk to the NPCs and there should be a dialogue option somewhereYou can also use that to tame the unique yasha and negoori while they're babies

>>2513737Politics as relevant to vic3 or 19-20th centuries which can be used for vic3 is not only acceptable but on point for the thread. >>2513683 however is pure politics which i entertained for about 2 sentences and referred to >>>/pol/. My point in general is that the sheer amount of commie bullshit should not be removed but that their opposites in ancap policies straight out of the fantasies of the likes of spooner (and even anachronistically, later thinkers) should be added. There is a distinct lack of non-commie figures in the game like Pareto, Hitler, the aforementioned spooner desu. There should also be an overhaul of tech as tech were invented by certain people and with patents and the piracy thereof, imagine dr. Diesel, Tesla, Graham Bell or Mauser as strategic assets in and of themselves. Say you extract Sikorsky from the fall of Russia and he gives a good buff to planes and maybe gives experimental helis towards the very end of the game or in mods.
The way multiculturalism works in the game is already pure fantasy. Why not include other fantasy laws?
Tips on how to decide what to build? I watched some hamkurtz videos and following his advice I built construction sectors until my balance is barely in the negative, then I tried building the construction sector input resources, wood and iron, but it seems like my resource deficits keep getting worse and worse and I’m going to spend half the game building logging camps as a Belgium which seems like a non-European thing to do, should I be building high level buildings and just importing the inputs, but how do I determine what to build. Also how and when do I invade Africa, it’s 1846 and England and France are already conquering coastal nations. Meanwhile I don’t even have an option to declare war on the blacks. It says online you used to have to “declare interest” (press x to unlock diplomacy options and get better trade prices) but they removed it? And apparently I have to manually set up trades to import resources or some shit? I’m getting pissed off at this game, the economy is too complex and not in a good way. I don’t want to micro trades.
>>2514173lumber is for big nations with shitload of peasants i haven't played belgium, but im pretty sure you should have decent amount of iron and coal, so you can start with iron and transition into steel fastjust build the most profitable stuffdebt spending is honestly overrated, if you don't feel safe, just don't do it, it's very easy to spiral on non-gpsmanual trade isn't really a thing, treaty goods exchange is basically just a commitment to buy some stuff from foreign marketyou need fleet to conquer overseas, set it to project power and you will gain diplo interest in adjacent regionsit's easy to hit the ceiling with belgium, you have few people, few resources and no market really i think reforming laws and depeasanting is the best part of the game, that's why i never played iti played sweden on my first run i think, but i didn't understand anything besides just basics of building your supply chain
>>2514176I didn't really mean going into debt, but deficit spending your savings to build things and then refilling the gold reserves via privatization. I though the fun of the game was supposed to come from turning a small low-pop nation into a world power by exploiting colonies to do the menial labor and then just having your elite accepted pops be the soldiers and administrators who run the empire.

Overhauled deployment. Your fleet can now deploy in formation!>>2513643>does it mean that each division has a leader and influences the division's actions depending on the division leader's personality? Would it conflict with officers with other personalities in the same division?Yes, but that's like scope creep and shit and maybe I should save it for after I release a basic version. Right now most multi-division formations and tactics is handled by your Officer in Tactical Command. The authority chain is set up and strong, but stuff like conflict of interest is more inferred than explicit at the moment.

>>2514012>>2514077I mean can't you say the same thing about Scandinavia in 867? Were people like Bjorn Ironside and Harald Fairhair even real? Also the Mayans (or maybe the Inca) had writing, but I think it was rather limited and the conquistadors just burned all their books.
>>2514089Yes because they interacted with people who did write like franks and anglo saxons
>>2514089>BjornYes. He shows up in contemporary sources, so it's fair to say there was a viking guy called Bjorn raiding France and Mediterranean around that period who probably was either a ruler or a relative of a significant ruler to be able to gather significant forces.>HaraldProbably. We don't have any contemporary sources - we have later copies of what would be a contemporary source but they could be later inventions. That being said the idea of there being a viking guy called Harald who was a king who fought some battles and maybe went to England at least once is probably true.>>2513982You could try to scavenge something roughly accurate in the broadest sense from archeological record but it would be absolute fantasy and Claude hallucinations anyway.
>>2514089The fuck are you smoking and where can I get some?
>>2514089I believe the only location in Europe that paradox have said they're kinda making guesses for the 867 start is in the Estonian, Lithuanian baltic area cause of how hard it was to find a complete record of who owned what back then. As for the Aztec and whatnot while we might not have 100% accurate names for 867 central America i believe they at least have enough info to give you something to go with. The respective cultures have been settled there since the bronze era. So while Spain did its thing there's still stuff to discover and at least get a skeleton of what things might've looked like.I think the difficult think to pin down would be the native Americans in North America. They were so nomadic that outside of a few hills where Cahokia was people have found almost nothing about them in terms of borders.

pretty accurate death count for the 30 years war although it only lasted about 5 yearsprosperity is fucked all over germany too but it recovers too quickly in this game for it to matterid like to see the 'increase development' and 'recover prosperity' cabinet actions removed or gutted
>>251418630yw type stuff can't really happen because the AI is too eager to peace out wars and truces last too long.As soon as the AI starts winning against another AI they take 3 locations and war reps, then call it a day for 15 years. This messes up time-limited situations like the italian wars and hussite wars too.The optimal play in the hussite wars is to just sit on Bohemia as long as possible, starve them out and click the genocide button on repeat.AI prefers instead to annex a few locations, Bohemia never actually gets defeated and returns to full strength soon enough.
>>2514188the game can't handle multi phased, regionalized conflict like that anyway, it was just world war .5 with every country from portgual to hungary fighting over every tiny scrap of landi'd just have random fucking OPM german states sending 500 levies into my territory randomly all the time
>>2514188>The optimal playObjectively speaking, the optimal play is to take actual rewards if you're winning. Bohemia suffering doesn't really help you, so it's not exactly "wrong" for them not to do that.If you want to history RP, then Austria would have to devastate Bohemia and also lose the war, and the mechanics for something like that don't exist in this game.
>>2512385I had a few more crashes that got more common as I went on which was very unfortunate. When are they going to remake this? It was always the best Battletech game. HBS Battletech was okay. MWO has always been slow and boring.
>>2505417Well, yes. I prefer the size/module type based system from 4 to 3's pure weight system.
I like mw5's size system, which is why I'm not really fond of yaml. It makes every battlemech feel like an omnimech with the crazy customization you can do. MW5 vanilla but with the ability to customize engines and internals/armor would be ideal. Just make upgrading to endo/ferro from standard cripplingly expensive. With the metal fatigue thread up I always throught a battletech game where you create your own frankenmechs would be amazing.
>>2504225IlKhan era reads like fanfiction. I stopped caring about the continuation lore when Dark Age hapoened when frankenmechs became the standard.

I want to strangle whomever decided that missile units shouldn't have guard mode toggled on by default in R2TW.
>>2514041Did you know that Rome 2 launched without a guard mode at all? Attila doesn't have it either, but when that game didn't perform as CA had hoped and they ended up crawling back to R2 they eventually added guard mode to it in one of the DLC updates Some times their decision making is downright bizarre
