Bro please, do you actually understand the two concepts that you are comparing? The only time that “nukes” have been used they were reported by the nips as firebombing, H&N were not even the most destroyed cities in nippon. Toyama, Kobe, Yokohama, and Tokyo were all more % destroyed than Niggasaki. Japan surrendered because 1.5 million ruskies were prepared to invade through Manchuria. The only person in the US media allowed to report on the bombings was one Lithuanian Jew under penalty of death citing national security. It’s a scam just like global warming that benefits a wealthy ruling class. But don’t worry JDAMs are very real and so are chemical weapons, there exists many horrible ways to kill a lot of people but nukes are definitely fake and gay.

I'm a zoomer and got an "entry level" job that pays $80,000 a year. When I did my interview my manager said thank you for not using AI to make your resume and said he has to throw out over half the resume's because they used AI to make them.
    >>
I live in the hood, and it's getting worse here every year. I keep my guns at my parent's place, for various reasons. But I want a bedroom gun. What's the easiest/cheapest effective way to go about this? For starters I'm thinking I should buy a mag fed turk piece of shit. They're small and cheap. I already have a short 870 but that's way slower to load. It's also nice enough I'd rather not get it confiscated if I shoot someone.

Then I pretty much just buy a cheap security cabinet to put it in, set that beside my bed, hide the key nearby, and I'm good, right? I'm pretty sure the gun can be legally kept with the loaded mags in the same cabinet.
    >>
    >>65625358
The short 870 is probably your best bet, you shouldn't need more than a few rounds to put any home intruder down...unless Demarcus shows up with Tyrone, Tyrell, and Demarius as well

    >soldiers love them, even when the are no tanks to hunt, because the gun is extremely effective against fortifications
    >gets replaced with pack howitzers because troops dont need mechanized support
    >soldiers hate them because they are more vulnerable and less mobile than a gun-carrier
    >separate tank battalions prove really popular but their main drawback is that they lacked training with infantry divisions (could be solved by making them organic units to divisions)
why is the army allergic to giving infantry motorized guns despite every instance of them being used met with nothing but praise?

    >You either bypass the strongpoint or level the entire thing to the ground
bypassing is not always an option ,especially for ICBTs
levelling the entire structure requires concentrated artillery fire which a brigade would be hardpressed to do with its battery, which will be taking tons of requests and will not always be available

    > If you absolutely need to send troops in, you send in mechanized infantry, not light infantry
IBCTs simply do not have the luxury of ignoring every single target in their way and ABCTs are going to be concentrated at the primary axis of advance
"waiting for the tanks" would be the absolute slowest way to clear the way forward because you would then have to wait for an ABCT to be made available and then physically make its way to your position and then take over the advance

assaulting strong points is an inevitably and not one that an IBCT has the luxury of avoiding entirely or simply waiting in place for artillery to level, which would represent a defensive victory for the defenders because the successfully delayed the attackers without ever firing a shot

so, again, infantry have only two options to deal with strongpoints
get suicidally close with hand weapons or use artillery and hope that it isnt backlogged with requiests
the M10 is a logical solution, since it can physically communicate with infantrymen to fire at priority targets as they appear or identify and destroy targets independently while also being far safer than having to fire AT4s at every target
    >>
    >>65625335
    >levelling the entire structure requires concentrated artillery fire which a brigade would be hardpressed to do with its battery, which will be taking tons of requests and will not always be available
What do you think we're dealing with, the Maginot Line? The strongpoint should also be pre-softened with a good amount of precision air strikes before the infantry even gets close. You're speaking as if strongpoints of that level somehow appear out of thin air.
    >the M10 is a logical solution, since it can physically communicate with infantrymen to fire at priority targets as they appear or identify and destroy targets independently while also being far safer than having to fire AT4s at every target
You keep pretending there's nothing between artillery and AT4s. Even in that hypothetical world, a "nimble MRAP-sized howitzer motor carrier" like the anon above described would be a far more practical choice, and you could probably even field 3-4 of them for the same cost and logistical footprint as a single Booker while bringing much more firepower to the table.

    >You're speaking as if strongpoints of that level somehow appear out of thin air.
because facing them is an inevitability, bypassing or sieging them is a luxury

    >You keep pretending there's nothing between artillery and AT4s
because that is the current case with an IBCT, as is they have one organic artillery battery and then div artillery above them
anything other than that, they have to handle themselves with their hand weapons
which is where the M10 was supposed to come in, bridging that gap with heavy firepower

    >a "nimble MRAP-sized howitzer motor carrier" like the anon above described would be a far more practical choice,
which would then resemble the M10 in form and function, because of the protection and off-road requirements
    >>
    >>65625344
    >which would then resemble the M10 in form and function, because of the protection and off-road requirement
Anon it's not even close. The M35 alone weighs 2900lb versus 318lb for the M121 carrier mortar system. That makes the turret proportionally heavier and the chassis balloons from there. Whereas a complete, autoloading NEMO is only 4200lb for the entire armored turret.

In about a week trump will try a nuclear decapitation strike and drop in the 5,000 combat troops we've moved to saudi arabia. US troops and armored divisions will open two fronts from Lake Van in the north and Basra, while Marines preform an amphibious assault on Bandar Abbas. B-52s will do strategic carpet bombing, like Operation Menu, for the march to Tehran where the CIA-funded Iranian Opposition will dig itself out from the nuclear fallout and setup an exile government.

do you think this strategy will actually work? and how soon until gas prices drop

    M1 and M2 carbine isn't far off.
    >>
    >>65625257
the M2 carbine is maybe the only "heavy" SMG ever made
it was treated as an SMG by the US army, but it had the firepower of .357 fired out a long barrel which puts most other SMGs to shame
    >>
    >>65624715
    >brainlet fedoratip textwall
the StG 44 (not the rifle itself, the 92-33 kurz cartridge<---weakest link) was an unproven concept, that was rushed into development. The rifle was heavy weight. It was an innovative idea (yes in later decades would prove in other cartridges-rifle designs to be ideal for infantry). It was not thoroughly proven and only saw service during final two years of Germany's war by which time they had far far FAR larger problems (shitty manufacturing QC and lack of mineral raw materials after 1942 barely scratch the surface of those) than 'what small arm to give / is best for infantry'.
It wasn't a fully realized combat tool by May 1945. By May 1970, the """""""""""""intermediate"""""""""""" cartridge infantry rifle is seen to be a fully realized tool.

    heavy in terms of power
most SMGs fired 9mm or .45 if they were american
.30carbine has the same punch as .357 magnum

only a few 10mm and .357sig SMGs are really in the same league as it, and those are pretty rare and only came in decades after

    Lightest weight.
    Softest shooting.
    Most accurate.
Wear is minimal when regularly cleaned and oiled.
Not any more sensitive to debris malfunctions than pistons.

Really it is just slightly more frequent cleaning because of rapid carbon buildup in the gun oil. Piston rifles have a slower carbon buildup because less gas enters the area around the bolt.
    >>

    >the bolt catch
With the exception of range safety procedures the bolt should always be forward and locking lugs engaged. The bolt is locked to the rear when firing an empty magazine, which should be only a few seconds for you to replace the magazine and then release the bolt.

It is a reloading feature. A feature AKs don't have.
