    WHY WON'T YOU FUCKING DIE
    >>
    >>65611520
Non-issue. It always comes down to price, and the Ordinance always chooses the cheapest option available, much like a boomer trying to buy a car.
    >>
    >>65611520
Is your gripe that we aren't using external piston guns yet or that we're still using a furniture configuration that has not been updated since 2001
    >>
    >>65611520
Looks like peak AR to me, just replace the quad rail with the plastic handguards
    >>
    >>65611532
    >Ordinance always chooses the cheapest option available
Congress was complaining that the Army was jacking up the price of the AR-15 with chrome chambers and forward assists
    >>
    You cannot escape
    >>
    >>65611520
It still does the job fantastically, why does it need to die?
    >>
They're cheap, accurate, and plentiful. Why would they disappear when any substitute is more expensive and less common?
    >>
    >>65611520
Because beneath this handguard is an idea, and ideas are bulletproof.
    >>
    >why can't we just use the gas system from the SVT-40???
    >why can't everything be an AR-18??
    >>
    >>65611532
you sure? M7 and M8 are ludicrously expensive (12k dollar scope, multiple dollar cost per round). oh wait we know what's up.
    >>
    >>65612103
All of our contractors (if not their parent companies as well) are all run by kikes. The US is the most kike worshipping place human history will ever know.
    >>
    >>65612106
Yeah man, Luke and Ortmeier, the owners of Sig, are heaps Jewish names, not German ones at all.
    >>
    >>65611532
    >>65612103
    >government buys cheap, people cry about it
    >government buys pricey, people cry about it
    >>
    >>65612152
Most kike surnames are German or Yiddish which is still German
    >>
    >>65612174
because in the M7s case, pricey didn't translate into the premium refined product that pricey would normally indicate.
    >>
    >>65612152
Literally yes. The biblical Luke was Jewish, and Lukes in the US are generally simplifications of Polish and Hungarian surnames like Lukasz/Lukacz that jews had when they got off the boat.
    >>
    >>65612196
yeah all Christian names are Jewish in origin, retard, nice gotcha
    >>
    >>65611542
I I got was a thin whining noise. Like a mosquito or a woman.
    >>
Answer this question: What's wrong with the AR platform?
    >>
    >>65612232
    >yeah all Christian names are Jewish
Little known fact, Jesus was a Jewish person. Therefore, Christians actually worship a Jewish person. Also little known fact, The Old Testament was like really, really Jewish before it went into The Holy Bible. There is a movie and everything.
    >>
    >>65612240
    >Answer this question: What's wrong with the AR platform?
The AK has killed more people, so the AR is inferior for it's own use case.
    >>
    >>65612232
    >all Christian names are Jewish in origin
They actually aren't. For instance Timothy is a pre-Christian Greek name.
    >>
    You're all sick people.
I hope you all get cancer. Fuck youse all.
I put a curse upon you all.
    Fuck ya
    mudda
    >>
I think the ar pattern is truly fantastic but my only irritation with it seems to revolve around the bolt catch. It is slightly awkward to use as a left handed shooter and it can be accidentally tripped if you slap the gun hard enough. Both issues easily fixed and possibly in some part user error but it is nice to get something truly ambi out of the box.
    >>
    >>65612240
The buffer means you can't use a folding stock. More of a nitpick than a flaw though.
    >>
    >>65612487
    Not even true.
    >>
    >>65612240
Requires a reliable supply train because parts like the extractor are liable to break, and gas rings must be replaced periodically.
If you can make sure you have parts when you need them, it's ostensibly not a problem, but some may still consider that to be a problem

Clearly the solution for an infantryman is an M16A1, and specifically the A1 because of the pencil barrel, with a flat top upper to mount an optic and convincing negative IQ jarheads they don't actually need 50 different attachments like in cowadooty.

Nigga how much do you think people shoot in combat? Also a bin of extractors and gas rings like the size of a microwave can handle an entire battalion, how tf is that straining?

    this comment is the truth.
Line infrantry need 1 gun and its a 20 inch M16a5 with an ACOG (+illuminator), a flashlight and a flippy Magpul-mbus firing m855a1+ making them bodies drop

the average ARfag could never comprehend how fantastic that would be, they VILL make an 11.5 AR weigh 15lbs and they VILL pay thousands for it
    >>
    >>65618077
I have an M16A1 and there's two kinds of people I meet on the range. The first one are genuinely impressed how light, handy and fun it is to shoot, the second one are seething because my "shitty" $900 iron sighted gun gets me better results in static competitions than their $10k garbage rods with 20x optics.
    >>
    >>65617477
    >Does the lr300 use an ar-15 bcg
Yes. Yes it does. Just someone took a saw to it.
    >>
    >>65618102
meanwhile I could just take the same thing and slap a red dot on it and get better results and visibility in low light. Irons suck.

    M16A5 needs five things
    >freefloated 20 inch mid length barrel profile to avoid barrel whip with a rifle length gas tube to keep shooting smooth
    >collapsible stock for plate carriers
    >full auto trigger pack
    >a basic bitch muzzle device that doesn't glow on thermals
    >a basic bitch x4 acog with a backup irons on a canted set up or none at all since close range aiming is for larpers

Literally describing my hunting rifle to a t except mine is A2 profile. Going to be silenced like some 656s were. It's pretty nice. I could get close to or lower than M4 weight if I went pencil barrel but I'm at low 8/high 7lbs with scope IIRC. And that scope is heavy. Only complaint is the A1 handguards don't work with V shaped rests and I feel like I'm going to catch a vent and chip a tooth off the handguards. I should probably go A2, but...

    >>65611520
    Lightest weight.
    Softest shooting.
    Most accurate.
Wear is minimal when regularly cleaned and oiled.
Not any more sensitive to debris malfunctions than pistons.

Really it is just slightly more frequent cleaning because of rapid carbon buildup in the gun oil. Piston rifles have a slower carbon buildup because less gas enters the area around the bolt.
    >>
    >>65612340
    >the bolt catch
With the exception of range safety procedures the bolt should always be forward and locking lugs engaged. The bolt is locked to the rear when firing an empty magazine, which should be only a few seconds for you to replace the magazine and then release the bolt.

It is a reloading feature. A feature AKs don't have.

It's a solved solution for a main infantry rifle. Bullpup is still obviously superior, but most people aren't ready for that discussion.
