/trv/ is a slow board, so don't expect immediate responses. CHECK THE CATALOG – you might find threads already discussing topics you're interested in.

Before asking for suggestions, tell /trv/ about your:

The last time Comiket lasted 3 days was the year 2019 so it was a big surprise when it was announced that Comiket 109 will be held from December 29 to December 31, 2026, at Tokyo Big Sight

In my opinion, January is the worst month to visit Japan because everything shuts down for New Years but only for the first week of January, since the locals usually go back home to visit their parents during the first week

    >What is this thread? Why are there two generals?
/rcg/ was initially created as a way for the roller coaster enthusiasts on here to discuss all things roller coasters and theme parks. While roller coasters are the main focus of these threads (and the title of the general) there is also discussion on other theme parks, their rides, as well as the parks themselves and trip planning too. That's where /tpg/ comes in.
    >Can I talk about Six Flags / United parks in this thread?
Absolutely! Six Flags / United discussion of all sorts including rides/resorts/dining/trip planning is OK.

    General Rules:
    1. Talk about Theme Parks and/or Rollercoasters.
    2. There is no second rule.

Beijing was the only place I really noticed the heightened security, or at least that it felt like they were more strict about it.
In other cities it felt a lot more relaxed.

It varies but the women are hotter on average as most are not fat. Men are low in testosterone and have microplastics in their genitalia rending them meek and feckless. Feminine priorities dominate societal narratives while predatory congo carnivores rove the periphery of the shrinking blonde/blue school of fish.

I planned my trip with a friend in a pretty retarded way. We looked at accomodations on booking.com and simply chose two that we liked. We completely ignored locations. Only a few weeks before the trip we finally checked where our accomodations are located in japan. The first one was in katashina, a small village in the middle of the mountains in gunma. The second one was in myouko-kougen in nagano between nagano city and niigata. It's famous for skiing, but we went there in fall so no snow yet. We planned to stay a week at each location, but after 3 days of hiking in katashina we booked a hotel in tokyo for 2 days and went there instead.

I'm not sure I would do it like that again, because we had to drive around quite a bit >2000km in 2 weeks. There simply was not much public transportation in those areas. That said there definitely were some unique experiences:
    Katashina:
    - everyone was really friendly and interested because they haven't seen tourists in ages
    - nice onsens and hiking area
    - eating in restaurants always ended up in sitting with locals, getting strange food for free (bear meat, horse sashimi, raw and bloody squid), because they wanted to see our reaction
    - old grandma restaurant owner overslept and her kitchen was not ready when we arrived, so she offered us to eat traditional breakfast with her

    Myouko-kougen:
    - best sushi I ever had
    - meeting two black bears in the middle of the village while taking a walk
    - we mainly did daytrips near nagano city (temples, castles, wasabi fields) and niigata (beach, aquarium)
    - on some days I was extremely relaxed here, even fell asleep while sitting several times

I am once again planning another trip to the Philippines for when El Niño passes.

I have a problem. I need some detailed info on a variety of things long term visitors may need, and surely do come with time spent and acquisition of friends.
But I am a bit lazy and want shortcuts.

I’ve checked out the expat groups on normiebook and I absolutely cannot stomach the thought going to some deranged boomer expat meetup.
I consider myself a normie outsider as it is, but how are these people so fucked up?

Anyways wat do and discuss your next trip if you have one planned.

I used to wonder what my girls would tell thier friends and families. She vanishes for a few days, and re-appears with a wad of blue bills, more than she could earn in a month. Maybe she tells everyone that she went on a short trip with some girlfriends and won money gambling? That might fly once or twice.

So I asked one of my girlfriends - how do you explain a multiple day absence and a purse full of money to your friends and family? Don’t they ask where you’ve been or where the money comes from? To surprise, several of her friends were participating in the exact same activity: Getting fucked and cummed in for money. Selling one’s pussy seems like a totally normal thing for these girls.
Additionally, her oarents know full well their daughter has sex transactionally. They are happy when she bungs home the cash. Her aunties (and likely her Mom) did the same thing. Her faggot brother catches loads from gay tourists. I guess being a cumdump is a family tradition.

I'm wanting to go camping in rural Germany next year. Travel around on the trains and buses, starting in NRW where I used to live as a kid (Dad was British Army) What's the situation like over there right now in terms of third worlders? I get that the cities are just as bad as the UK, but what is the countryside like? I want to see beautiful scenery and quaint little villages without having to fight my way through hordes of hijabs.

    Where should I avoid?

Karl-Marx-Allee (formerly Stalinallee): A grand socialist boulevard featuring monumental neoclassical "workers' palaces" built in the 1950s, flanked by twin towers at Frankfurter Tor and the curved facade of Strausberger Platz.

Used to have a grand Stalin monument – erected in August 1951. Its was a 15-foot-tall statue of Stalin on a big plinth.

Ten years later, in the wake of de-Stalinization (with which the GDR was a little late getting on board) the monument was removed in a clandestine operation in the night of 13/14 November 1961. At the same time the name of the boulevard was changed to Karl-Marx-Allee and all street signs were replaced accordingly.

How bad of an idea would it be for an American to attempt to move to England? I'm finishing graduate school soon, and I don't want to look for a job in the US. I've visited England 6 times, but what is it like to actually live here?

My main motivation is the public transport. I absolutely fucking hate driving. It terrifies me. I don't understand why something so dangerous and so expensive is widely accepted as being a necessity for everyday life. It is ruining my life, because my country has no good public transport.

Many other European countries have good public transport, but I only speak English. Would I regret moving here? I love English people, and have several close friends who live there. I would only want to live somewhere that I can actually meet people, so no rural hamlets.

Miami is a great first stop in the Americas for an Old World fag. Forget NYC; Miami is much more fun. I'd say it's also more fun than LA. But California girls are fitter. Too many faces of indulgence here, plump bellies and short statures. And the climate is mucky wet; but that's part of the appeal. Dance until the sweat starts dripping. I wasted my twenties working dead end jobs (low tier service industry) and have nothing to show for it. Now I'm early thirties and on a career track (trades). When I was younger I wanted to travel the world out of backpack but shit happened and it didn't work out. I poorly managed my finances.

Now I'm in a situation where I have some flexibility with work, I could theoretically take 3+ months off per year unpaid to go travel, then try to make up for it by working more the rest of the year. It's possible , doing so would set me behind financially more than I already am, and impact my advancement at work somewhat. Anyone have any advice? Should a "late bloomer" just play it safe and do the standard American vacation route? I don't want to be 40 and barely better off than I am now

Its easy to get rich in the West, but you have to try. Its easier to cry, like a bitch
    >>

Unless rich or married to the love of your life at 30, most people's 20's look like a waste.
Your 20's is for figuring out how to be an adult. Ideally you come out of it with an in-tact reputation, decent health, and some kind of career, but a lot of people don't.
Regardless, 30's should be taken more seriously. Travel is great, but if you're in your 30's, either travel by moving to places you want to experience or just do the 9-5 and vacation route. Life works out better when you're consistently dedicating your time and money to things that improve your station in the long term, rather than periodically squandering time and money on a short amount of pure recreation.
Sounds hellish, but it's not. Once the momentum gets going and your live overall is improving because the consistent choices you make, your everyday life starts to improve enough you're not even thinking about taking lots of "time off".

Yeah people who want to travel alot in their 20s and 30s are lazy retards. You shoukd be working towards a goal, a family, buying some land or a house, getting set up for when you are older

Wanting to travel to goon, or try food or party in nightclubs or beaches is loser shit, brown mentality and the 2nd half of life you will get the bill

    >on the travel board
    >No one should ever travel unless their whole life is planned out
