A multimillion-dollar defamation lawsuit by President Trump against The Wall Street Journal over a story reporting his ties to a birthday book for Jeffrey Epstein has been thrown out.

In a 20-page ruling, U.S. District Judge Darrin Gayles in Miami dismissed the suit with prejudice on Saturday, ruling that Mr. Trump did not prove the defendants made defamatory statements with actual malice.

He said the lawsuit was "grasping at straws" as it attempted to "manufacture" flaws in the WSJ's investigative reporting.

Actual malice requires that plaintiffs prove that statements made about a public figure were published with the knowledge that they were false, or with disregard for whether they are true or not.

When a case is thrown out "with prejudice," it cannot be refiled again, and the dismissal is permanent and incontrovertible.

"President Trump will continue to press forward in his powerhouse lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal and all of the other defendants," a spokesperson for Mr. Trump's legal team told CBS News in a statement. "The President will continue to hold those who mislead the American People with Fake News and smears accountable for their actions."

A source familiar with Mr. Trump's legal strategy said that the decision will likely be appealed.

Did this letter ever get authenticated?
Like did they have anyone corroborate that Trump was at Epstein's birthday party? Or did they find what typewriter it was written on? An envelope with a trump affiliated address like the Mar-A-Lago? Anything at all to corroborate it or any of the other birthday letters in the book
    >>
    >>1546043
The WSJ put out the story, which Trump immediately denied and then filed suit
Then a few days later the Democrats of the House Oversight Committee released the book that had Trump's letter in it, as well as others
To date, not a single one of the 26 Republicans on the House Oversight Committee who have access to all of the same materials that the Democrats of the committee have, including such devoted Trump advocates as James Comer, Jim Jordan, Paul Gosar, Nancy Mace, Lauren Bobert, and Byron Donalds, have ever disputed the authenticity of the letter
So either some of the most outspokenly pro Trump Republicans in the party have been letting Democrats spread malicious lies about Trump and his relationship with Epstein, or the letter has been authenticated in a way they can't deny
    >>
    >>1546054
Have any of the Democrats of House Oversight Committee who have access to all of the same materials that the Republicans of the committee disputed the authenticity of letter from Bill Clinton in the Birthday Book?
Or his various flights on the Lolita Express? Or the use of the Lolita Express by the Clinton Foundation?

'Waste of our time' | Trump administration officials respond to KARE 11 investigation into prison sale

Members of the Trump administration, visiting St. Cloud to discuss fraud on Friday, dismissed a question about federal overpayment for a Minnesota private prison.
ST. CLOUD, Minn. — U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent dismissed a question about a recent KARE 11 investigation into the federal government's overpayment for a private prison in Appleton, Minnesota, in the administration's first public response to the report.

KARE 11's reporting showed the Department of Homeland Security paid $495 million to purchase CoreCivic's abandoned private prison to use as an ICE facility, when that same facility was offered to the state one year earlier for $75 million.

The price difference for the prison sale, $420 million, is more than taxpayers are estimated to have lost in Minnesota’s much-publicized Feeding Our Future fraud scandal.

Bessent was joined by other members of the Trump administration at a press event in St. Cloud Friday to discuss the administration's "War on Fraud."

When the event opened to reporter questions, KARE 11's Lou Raguse asked Bessent, "If the administration has declared war on waste and fraud, could you explain the $420 million overpayment for a prison in Appleton, Minnesota, when the company offered it to the state of Minnesota for $75 million?"

    https://nypost.com/2026/10/30/tech/sam-altman-roasted-over-comments-suggesting-ordinary-people-are-wasting-limited-computer-memory/

OpenAI boss Sam Altman is getting roasted online after suggesting it’s “quite terrible” that ordinary people are using up the world’s limited supply of computer memory instead of putting it to better use in the cloud.

The Bay Area tech billionaire made the eyebrow-raising remarks during a recent interview with Stripe President John Collison on his YouTube show, “Cheeky Pint,” where the pair chat over beers with founders, builders and business leaders.

Altman took issue with people using “a bunch” of the world’s limited supply of DRAM, a type of memory commonly found in PCs, laptops, smartphones and tablets.

The OpenAI chief argued that because the average person only uses their DRAM about 5% of the time, the world’s supply should be put to maximum use — particularly in what he described as a “very supply constrained environment.”

The comments quickly set off a RAMpage online, with viewers accusing Altman of suggesting that computer memory belongs in AI data centers rather than in the hands of everyday consumers.

“Bro’s talking about the ‘world’s limited supply of DRAM’ like he isn’t personally responsible for the world’s supply of DRAM being limited,” one commenter wrote.
    >>
    >>1546081
“The guy really went and basically openly said ‘It’s actually quite terrible that normal people have Ram in their computers because from my perspective it should all belong to me,'” another comment read.

Altman continued his RAMpage by adding that “somehow, many people’s intuition is the opposite” of wanting to maximize the utilization of the cloud.

Critics seized on the remarks as an apparent argument that OpenAI and other tech giants should have greater access to the world’s memory supply, rather than leaving so much of it sitting in personal computers.

The OpenAI CEO also used the conversation to tout his company’s AI tools, arguing that people are increasingly willing to turn to artificial intelligence to improve the way they work.

“We have a culture where people, even if they’ve done something the old-fashioned way for a long time, are super willing to try using AI to do it better,” Altman said in the interview.

The backlash comes as OpenAI faces growing scrutiny over its enormous spending ambitions and the resources needed to power its artificial intelligence operations.

The Financial Times reported Friday evening that OpenAI had slashed its fundraising target by $10 billion. The company had previously aimed to raise $30 billion at a $1.4 trillion valuation.

Wiw was that pic really on the drudge report?

    >Vivek Ramaswamy has spent years being described as a former nationally ranked junior tennis player. According to the sport's governing body, however, that was never actually the case.
    >
    >With Ohio's governor's race just days away, new reporting has put the Republican nominee's tennis résumé under the microscope.
    >
    >The tennis claim has followed Ramaswamy for more than a decade. As tennis journalist Ben Rothenberg detailed, a 2015 Forbes profile called him "a nationally ranked junior tennis player whose serve could hit 120mph." Similar language showed up in his 2020 Soros Fellowship bio and a 2022 New Yorker profile.
    >
    >Rothenberg found that the available records paint a different picture. In 2002, Ramaswamy was ranked 48th in the 16-and-under division of the USTA's Midwest section, a regional ranking, and he played No. 3 singles for his high school team at St. Xavier in Cincinnati.
    >
    >Tennis has also become part of the campaign. An ad from Ohioans for Lower Costs, a group funded by the Democratic Governors Association, even includes the line "His favorite sport is tennis."
    >
    >"The U.S. Tennis Association has no records of him being a nationally ranked junior tennis player, period," Torre said in a clip posted by the show. "And when I reached out to the USTA myself, they sent me every one of their yearbooks from the 1990s and the 2000s. It is very clear based on these records, which they double-checked for PTFO, that Vivek Ramaswamy was never noted to be nationally ranked."
    >
    >Torre also noted that while the tennis line stayed in place, other parts of Ramaswamy's biography got scrubbed. According to Wikipedia's edit history, a paid editor removed lines about Ramaswamy's Soros Fellowship and his role on Ohio's COVID-19 response team.
    >
    >"I just didn't know you could do that," said D.J. Byrnes, who has written about Ramaswamy's sports credentials for The Rooster.

Trump will rally in Iowa and Kansas after initially canceling weekend trips before midterms

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump has rescheduled weekend campaign rallies in a pair of critical Midwestern states that he had previously canceled, according to a person familiar with the plans.

The Republican president will now visit Iowa and Kansas for back-to-back campaign rallies on Sunday, said the person, who insisted on anonymity to discuss his schedule.

The scheduling whiplash underscored the chaotic and shifting nature of the final days of the midterm campaigns, in which Trump and Republicans are scrambling to retain their majorities in Congress in an election that has turned largely on affordability issues and the president’s favorability. At the start of the month, Trump promised a marathon sprint of his signature rallies to shore up Republican candidates, and he has headlined 25 of them so far in October.

The president on Thursday furiously pushed back at the notion that the initial cancellation of his Kansas rally, which became public as he was returning to Washington from another campaign event in South Carolina, was tied to fatigue or his health. He lashed out at a reporter who asked about canceling the event in Kansas, where GOP Sen. Roger Marshall is running for reelection.

“I’m not going to Kansas because he’s doing very well,” Trump said, seeming to refer to Marshall. The president added that “I feel perfect” and that “I don’t feel I have to go to Kansas.”

A Brook Park restaurant owner has been indicted on 10 felony charges related to alleged possession of child sexual abuse material, according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office.

In a news release, Cuyahoga prosecutors said a grand jury returned an indictment against Adam Radogna, 37, for possessing dozens of files containing child sexual abuse materials Wednesday.

    The charges include:

Two counts of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance, both second-degree felonies.
Seven counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person, all second-degree felonies.
One count of possessing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony.

Prosecutors said members of the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant at Radogna's residence Oct. 22.

    https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/6182999-alaska-election-verification-stopped-peltola-probe/
Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy (R) suggested Thursday his state’s midterm election certification process may be “stopped or changed” because of its investigation into ballot-stacking allegations against Democratic Senate candidate Mary Peltola.

NewsNation’s Blake Burman asked Dunleavy about the state’s probe into Peltola, which the governor announced earlier that day, and whether it could impact how election officials plan to certify midterm winners.

“We are going to investigate it. We’re going to follow the law,” Dunleavy told Burman. “We are ready to do whatever we need to do to ensure that our elections are deemed credible.”

“If we find out there’s wrongdoing, and if that means that the certification then is stopped or changed, then that’s what happens,” the governor added later in the conversation.

Burman then pressed Dunleavy on whether he believes there’s a legitimate possibility Alaska may need to stop or change its election certification, to which the GOP governor responded, “Depending upon the outcomes of this investigation, yes.”

The New York Times reported Wednesday Peltola’s campaign recruited a man named Dan J. Sullivan to run against incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan (R) in an effort to confuse voters. Peltola is challenging the GOP lawmaker in the Alaska Senate race.

The former congresswoman’s campaign has denied it played a role in recruiting Dan J. Sullivan.

    >At least three documents within the Epstein files show that Attorney General Todd Blanche received classified material in the tranche and did not release it—even as Blanche continuously insisted that the Justice Department wasn’t withholding any documents for any reason.
    >Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the DOJ was required to release all files related to the prosecution of sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein, except those pertaining to national security. Blanche, however, claimed that “no files are being withheld or redacted on that basis.”
    >“There’s not some tranche of super-secret documents about Jeffrey Epstein that we’re withholding, we’re actually not withholding anything based upon [national defense information],” Blanche said in January.
    >New reporting from CBS News contradicts that, finding that at least three of the documents in the public Epstein files point to Blanche receiving classified information that was never released, even as he claimed none of the material met the national security requirement. While it is still unclear what exactly is in the classified material, the missing documents include files pertaining to Epstein’s finances.

    >The Democrats called for former US Attorney Alex Acosta, who served as labour secretary during Trump’s first term, to testify about Epstein’s plea deal. They asked the Justice Department to investigate and release records. Democrats later pursued other strategies, including asking a Palm Beach, Florida judge to release records.

    >“A full accounting for these heinous crimes is lacking,” Wasserman Schultz told PolitiFact in an August 1 written statement. “Those prospects changed when Republicans momentarily joined the call for full disclosure.”

Article starts off strong, talking about how they're on a quest to release the Epstein files, great.
    >In 2019, some Democrats called for a plea deal investigation

    >Acosta signed off in 2007 on Epstein’s secret plea deal in which he agreed to plead guilty to state prostitution charges, serve 18 months in county jail and pay monetary damages to his victims. In exchange, the US attorney’s office agreed to forgo federal prosecution. Epstein entered his guilty plea in 2008.

    >The Justice Department’s Office of Professional Responsibility investigated Acosta’s role and, in November 2020, released a summary that said he showed “poor judgement”.
    >Schultz called on the Justice Department to make public Acosta’s role in the plea deal.

    >On the day Acosta resigned, Khanna said Acosta should testify before the House oversight committee, and later that month Senator Chuck Schumer was among the Democrats who called on the Justice Department to make public the results of its review of Acosta’s handling of the Epstein case.

    >Also in July, the congressional Democratic Women’s Caucus requested that the House Oversight and Reform Committee open an investigation into how the Palm Beach, Florida Sheriff’s Office handled the Epstein investigation.
I see a lot of stuff about Acosta being investigated, not so much stuff about releasing the Epstein files. Control F searching "Acosta" shows this is the last time he is mentioned. So after he resigns there is no longer any interest in investigating him or the plea deal he had. After he resigns he is dead to them and doesn't matter.
    >When Maxwell was charged in 2020, Democrats continued to push for transparency.

    >Frankel told PolitiFact in an August 1 interview that the House oversight committee wanted to hold a hearing at which they would hear from Epstein victims, their lawyers and prosecutors. They wanted to subpoena the prosecutors to ask them under oath “why they gave this guy a slap on the wrist, who pressured them?” Frankel said.

    >However, “We were told by the Justice Department to cut it off” because it could compromise the Maxwell investigation, Frankel told PolitiFact.

    >After Biden took office in 2021, Democrats appeared to dial back their public calls for Epstein records’ release.

    >“Pushes for oversight and record releases were at times tempered by a need to respect both the victims’ pursuit of justice in courts and their fears of reprisals,” Wasserman Schultz told PolitiFact. “As disclosures were denied or delayed, we did what lawmakers do and legislated to protect future victims.”

    >In February 2024, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a Republican, signed a bill to allow the release of Epstein 2006

The substance of that article is a lot of Democrats called for Alex Acosta to be investigated. Acosta resigned, they stopped caring. They said they were going to do a big hearing August 1st 2020 where they would hear from Epstein victims, their lawyers and prosecutors. They were told it could compromise the Maxwell investigation. her federal trial in New York ran from November 29 to December 29, 2021. A jury found her guilty on December 29, 2021, on five of six counts, including sex trafficking of a minor and conspiracy. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison on June 28, 2022. Why that hearing didn't take place in Autumn of 2022, 2023, or 2024 remains unanswered. They just skip forward in time to 2024 and Ron Desantis releasing the 2006 grand jury testimony after a similar effort failed in previous state legislative sessions. And Frankel praised the legislation.

President Karol Nawrocki, Poland’s head of state aligned with the right-wing Law and Justice party (PiS), canceled a Friday trip to Senegal and is heading back to Warsaw amid what his allies are calling a “coup d’état.”

Metropolitan Police Headquarters announced Friday that its officers are “carrying out statutory activities at the premises of the Constitutional Tribunal in Warsaw” — the nation’s highest court. Authorities have removed security from the premises and put up barriers around the area as they attempt to restore “public order” amid a forced change of leadership.

“At such a moment, the President must be in Poland. I’m interrupting my flight to Senegal. I’m returning,” Nawrocki wrote on social media.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk, a bitter political adversary of Nawrocki and the Constitutional Tribunal, took credit for the raid and said it was necessary to prevent lawlessness.

“Restoring the rule of law is our duty,” Tusk announced late Friday. “After years of PiS-led lawlessness, this is a difficult process, sometimes painful, and it requires decisive action. There is no other way.”

Judge Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, the longest-tenured judge on the Constitutional Tribunal, has been appointed interim president after the removal of court president Bogdan Swieczkowski. This was reflected on the court’s website.

However, the Constitutional Tribunal’s account on social media platform X issued a contradictory statement: “An unlawful takeover of the Constitutional Tribunal’s website has occurred. The President of [the Constitutional Tribunal] remains Bogdan Święczkowski, and the Vice-President is Bartłomiej Sochański. Ms. Anna Korwin-Piotrowska is not a judge of the Constitutional Tribunal. All persons participating in these actions are committing the crime of a coup d’état.”

At the center of the dispute is the appointment of a new judge to the tribunal, Maciej Berek, who was elected for the position by the left-controlled lower chamber of parliament.

PiS has questioned whether Berek’s career technically meets the requirement for judges to have 10 years’ experience as a legal adviser. The left wing has pushed back on this, and a war over definitions has developed.

Berek is required to swear an oath of office in front of Nawrocki, but the president has dodged any meeting that would allow such an oath to happen. The new judge previously tried to sign an oath addressed to Nawrocki as a substitute, but the Constitutional Tribunal — which is ideologically aligned with PiS — rejected the gesture.

Right-wing protesters have been standing guard outside the Constitutional Tribunal to prevent the Tusk government from installing the new judge, but the surge of police dispersed these efforts.

Beata Szydlo, a PiS-aligned member of the European Parliament, posted a video of the situation to social media on Friday night — calling it a “violation of all democratic principles.”

“Shocking scenes in Poland. Police, dispatched by the Tusk government, have forced their way into the independent Constitutional Tribunal. Security personnel guarding the building and the Tribunal’s documents have been removed,” she wrote on social media. “The Vice-President of the Tribunal is being denied entry to the premises.”

    https://pagesix.com/2026/10/29/celebrity-news/anonymous-celeb-accused-of-sexual-misconduct-threatens-third-suicide-attempt-if-named/

An unidentified male celebrity threatened to attempt suicide for a third time if publications expose his identity and the multiple sexual misconduct allegations against him.

The celebrity, referred to as PPT, is currently accused of using “his power and position as a celebrity to contact and forge relationships with young women and teenagers to try to have sex with them.”

On Tuesday, the celebrity’s legal team asked London’s High Court for an injunction to block articles from being published, arguing that their client would be “highly likely” to attempt suicide if they were released, the BBC reported.

The attorney representing PPT, Sara Mansoori KC, told the court her client attempted suicide twice after he received notice from publications Guardian News Media and ITN, requesting a comment on the allegations. PPT was released from the hospital after the first attempt and soon tried again.

“The claimant has attempted suicide twice as a result of these matters, been hospitalized for months, been the subject of involuntary detention and been examined by multiple — now more than 10 doctors,” Mansoori told the court, adding that PPT “has no intention of returning to public life.”

His legal team claimed their client’s third suicide attempt would be a result of concern about “trial by media” rather than wrongdoing.

Also during the hearing, the anonymous man vehemently denied the accusations of sexual misconduct against him.

Owning Miss Universe and seeing attractive women back stage is not pedophilia
The pageant show Trump owned used adult contestants. He didn't own Toddlers and Tiaras. You are conflating adult beauty pageants and children's beauty pageants

Do we have documentation proving Trump directed Manafort directing Gates to pass internal campaign polling data for 17 states to Kilimnik?
Or is this something Manafort did of his own volition?

No, it's just creepy as hell. Too bad for you he also owned miss teen USA, and five former Miss Teen USA contestants separately accused him of entering their dressing room while they were changing, some of them being 15.
    Nice try chomo.
