They probably have an instinct to climb as much as possible when in an unfamiliar environment.
    >>
    >>5171716
They don't. The whale has no upper teeth it's whole mouth is basically a clip. It pinches the squid and sucks its innards out. They suck things to death that's their weapon. Sperm whales eyes aren't squishy they are hard and can retract into their head.

What do you think of these names for my cats? The one on the left is Nanami, named after the protagonist of a romance anime, and the one on the right is Waddle Dee, from the Kirby games. Do you think the names suit them?

Nanami is too weeby sounding, anyone hearing you say it will involuntarily cringe themselves into having chronic neck pain. Just a heads up. Other is goofy in a way which can be endearing for a pet name so it'll likely come across quite well, and can be shortened to Dee for a nice nickname.

I don't agree with the overall message in the tiktok video but you people are a bunch of fucking idiots
the truth is rarely appealing and dismissing a position just because it doesn't pass the vibe check makes you an emotional child on the same level as an autist obsessed with thomas toys

    >but you are a literal retard if you think your soibean and corn fields that completely replace everything are better
I mean they literally objectively are better because they require less area for the same productivity compared to cattle so if you wanted to increase biodiversity that would leave more room for wild environments

not gonna say we have to ban meat or whatever, but it's an objective truth that cattle are pretty inefficient and wasteful

    >>5172039

If you’re in DC, vote yes on Initiative 86

Suppose you learned that your neighbor Fred kept geese in small cages in his basement. He shoved a tube down their throats to force feed them sickening quantities of food, causing their livers to grow to many times their normal size. After a short period, he killed them. This was done because fattening their liver made it tastier.

Fred would be doing something evil. For the same reasons, the foie gras industry is evil.

It is a remarkable fact that even in a country with as deplorable a disregard for animal welfare as America, foie gras is so cruel as to be almost synonymous with animal cruelty. This synonymity is well earned; foie gras is evil and grotesque. DC is currently voting on Initiative 86 which would ban foie gras. They should vote yes.

Foie gras has been consistently condemned https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foie_gras_controversy#EU_Scientific_Committee_on_Animal_Health_and_Welfare_report_(1998) as inhumane by outside bodies reviewing it. It involves shoving a metal pipe down the throat of the ducks and force feeding them so that their livers grow to many times their normal size. While it’s often claimed that ducks don’t have a gag reflex, this is unclear. https://modernfarmer.com/2015/01/weekly-glean-artificially-enlarged-liver/

OP just lost an argument on /pol/ where he was unable to categorically call all bestiality objectively wrong without giving up on his ethical base, btw

He was about to be extra BTFO before the thread archive
    >w-w-w-well the 1000lb horse is being harmed... somehow
Nope, the harm argument doesn't work. You can't base morals on feeling good and feeling bad or you'll just turn into a hedonist of some kind. If you don't have higher standards in service of mankind rather than in service of... abstract feelings... you basically don't have morals besides "feel good, dont feel bad, have empathy".

Natural order/moral hygiene chad AKA me totally fucking wrecked you

Also OP is the same guy who admitted he'd kill farmers to protect cows

Most animals can travel only 10 miles a day at most and require regular breaks.
Humans can travel 30+ miles in a day and do not require any serious breaks other than a quick drink of water.

    >>
    >>5170986
Not him, but there's a sense of truth there. You had raids and attacks of opportunity, but mass grave sites associated with battles appear later in the Bronze age. With nomadic people that didn't observe each other's territorial claims anyhow, you had exactly as much chances to get attacked staying home as you had crossing 40 miles of territory.
Go read sir Henry Somner Maine's Ancient Laws, one of the most common myth across all the world's culture is the adoption myth. Romans did it, Mongols did it, Inuits did it.
A random nomad hunter spotting you hunting would probably not do anything except watch you hunt to see how you do. He might offer a trade, and he might try to kill you. Mostly depends on what his parents thought him to do in a case like this.

nta but creatures is more intuitive than animals.
    >>
    >>5171291
Animals are full motion-capable, self-animated living beings. Insect seems more remote because they are very alien and their behavior seems fairly programmatic, but that's just the low point of the scale. Fishes, insects and unicellular animals are, well, animals.
    >>5171531
Creature denote "the creation of something". Its not wrong but it doesn't mean the same thing. A robot is his master's creature. The important derivative root from "animal" is "animated" ('anima' = "soul"/"breath" relating to the specific motion attributed by Aristotle to the animal soul, above the vegetal soul, who only had growth).
    >>
    >>5171291
issue with that line of thinking is that we're closer related to tunicates and even starfish (unintelligent, would not be considered animals under your interpretation by most people) than we are to cephalopods (highly intelligent, capable of exhibiting playfulness and emotional attachments, would be considered animals by most people)

really the cephalopod problem is a massive one for any attempt at "logical distinctions" because of just how intelligent they are

My cat started missing the litter constantly and likewise I surrounded it with puppy pads, I tried changing the litter box to a bigger one and one with walls, and I couldn't understand why she wouldn't do it, this lasted about a year before I took her to the vet.
Arthritis was suggested but she also had early stage kidney disease. Changing her diet accordingly improved her litter habits, only for an inoperable tumour on her tongue to end her life prematurely at 17.

We had a minor fruit fly infestation for a bit and somehow a nice little jumping spider found his way into one of our windows.
When I would see them buzzing against the window, I would open it and let some in to feed him for a while. They must have been pretty nutritious, because he lived in there for nearly two weeks with only a few at a time for a meal and survived molting. I took him outside a few days after, fearing he wasn't getting enough food.
