Really wish they made the Rumbler just standing and posing normally instead of being perched on a fucking beer keg 24/7. He's too dripped out to be gargoyle max'ing
    >>98876807
    >given how much those two Druze would cost, i would suggest otherwise; a couple of Brawlers i could stomach.
Now that you mention it, it's weird Brawlers don't have panzerfausts. They really look like the type of grunt/fodder units that would be packing one
    >Druze with holoechoes/holomask, FD(+8), Viral/T2 Boarding shotgun
I really like the idea of a viral boarding shotgun. Bashi's already have T2 shotties so I wouldn't wanna steal their niche. I'd pray for +1B too but that really seems to be a HI only thing
    >something like a Camo regular, FD(+4) or (+8) with minelayer, seems more their style and language, possibly an irregular Camo shitter with a Flamethrower.
Some kind of forward deploying speed bump with an E/marat or Flamethrower would be nice. I've gotten a lot out of Zellenkreigers and their pulzars despite everyone trying to convince me they're just shittier yuan yuans. In that vein, just more metachemistry/booty units could be a niche for Druze. Some lists I bring I'm having to make 5 rolls on those tables without even trying to go out of my way to pick those units specifically for the rule. Having someone like Aida get a HMG out of nowhere can really open up how you play a list.

What are your main action pieces in SAA? OBviously you've got the Dragao for HRMC crimes. but who are your man-sized active killers?
    >Bagh-Mari
    MSV1 and Mim3, but "only" BS13 and 1 vit
    >Guarda de Assalto
BS15 and vit2 but unlinkable, only mim3 with no visor
    >ORCs
BS14 and vit2, but zero useful abilities

Out of these I'm thinking the Guarda is the most attractive, or maybe just copious application of shotguns present all over the sectorial.
I've noticed there's no MSV2 or Albedo in the entire faction, so your only play against a smoke shooter is... throw an eclipse grenade with the Guarda's auxbot?
    >>
    >>98878991
I've only played Svalarheima but I can vouch for the effectiveness of ORC's. Between Jotums and Vargars and Karhus, the most consistent unit has always just been an ORC with that boarding shotgun or feurbach. Guarda seems pretty solid though; you don't really need to be linked if you're BS15 and have an auxbot buddy.
    >I've noticed there's no MSV2 or Albedo in the entire faction, so your only play against a smoke shooter is... throw an eclipse grenade with the Guarda's auxbot?
    Eclipse and template weapons yeah

Now that you mention Svar, aren't Karhus just better Bagh-Maris? They're both MSV1 BS13 MI with roughly the same costs. Difference is Karhus get 6-2 and Climbing Plus, while BMs get Number 2. I guess BMs also get HMG and shotguns, while the Karhu get Feuerbach +1B
    >>
    >>98878724
Either Brawlers should be discounted as well, and/or retuned: doctor/engineer (WIP13), losing the rifle on the specialist profiles (-1point perhaps?), panzerfaust on some profile, minelayer/sapper on the MSR profile.
    >I'd pray for +1B too but that really seems to be a HI only thing
not necessarily? i'd take (+1SD) at least. If a viral shottie is too much, at least a Vulkan shotgun.
While generalized Booty would be funny, it's kind of a crapshoot (too much variability, Booty(reroll) mitigates this somewhat, but i'd hate to build a strategy on that), units with specialized gear would be more "predictable".
    >>
What's the "downside" of WhiteCo? It just looks like PanO with smoke and good hackers. You don't have the really mean tag shooters and some of the giganiggas like Swiss Guards or KoJs but you still get a ton of their best units like Karhus, Nisses, Shona Carano, etc on top of all the upsides from actually having mechanics like smoke and good hackers. Are they straight up better?

But the Chinaman just threw a smoke grenade and now you don't feel like a retard for packing that MSV2
    >>
    >>98882388
At a glance it seems that way but when you get into the nitty gritty, WhiteCo trades in lots of PanO advantages (rare special rules, good shooting, flexible links, non-bloated profiles) for superior hacking and YuJing durability. If you highly value hacking then WhiteCo is probably more appealing but some notable things to consider
    >Units
Holy fuck do you lose some good units. The linked ML KoJ is one of the best ARO pieces in the game, so that's a big loss. You're also losing Vargar for Jujaks which is not the best exchange; jujaks are great at being shot at and filling up a link but if you want shit done vargar are actually what you want. You lose access to a hidden deployment specialist in the form of the Locust, who's been replaced by the somewhat inferior Guilang. No tech bee means no cheap specialist, no agnes or racer X also means no REMdriver, no infirmarer means no cheap link team glue that's, once again, a specialist that is cheap.
    >Shooter pieces
If you like HMG's, you're really strapped for units to pick. Fusiliers, TAG's, Orcs and Nisses are the only ones packing. Svalarheima is sort of the same, but because of how they "played" (strong defensive game where you then push IN to close quarters) it didn't hurt as much, but now when you lose those good defensive elements it makes being an active player a bit more awkward. All of your snipers and missile launchers are stuck on YuJing units that are just "kind of fine". Linked shooters are stuck in really inflexible links which makes playing against WhiteCo fairly predictable too. You also don't have as much specialists that are capable of throwing hands, which was a defining strength of Svalar.

I don't think WhiteCo is bad (Haidao's, Danavas and Tiger Soldiers are a huge selling point) but they aren't just objectively better. If they were, everyone would just play them instead of Svalar or White Banner.

It is kind of annoying that our line troop equiv is so expensive. CA players will cry about paying 14pts for their line troops meanwhile we're out here paying 15 for dudes with rifles and a shotgun.
    >doctor/engineer (WIP13)
Still amazes me that our only doctor is fucking WIP12, and it's either her or a Druze paramedic if you want a specialist for outbreak or just a medkit. It honestly shocks me that we're one of the NA factions that DOESN'T get a cube jager when it 100% would be welcome and used a lot if we could.

Bagh-Maris get warhorse, minelayer on the sniper and hackers.
Also boarding shotguns with burst+1 are almost broken. Not having to pay the multirifle tax is also a boon.
Did i mention warhorse? It is one of the best skill to have now that e/m and bs-3 are practicaly in every list. Mobility is nice on karhu, but bagh-mari can go places karhu can't (into e/m mines and e/marats that is). Hackers with warhorse are also sweet if your oponent forgot his khd.

no offense but that's a skill issue from you. You could have done several things to handle this as you were out of LoS. Despite being on 6BS, they would be on a SD, as well if they were in a 5 man Link team they would also be at 9 on SD. Either if you didn't take him out he burnt through 6 orders which were a massive waste. You could have done this

    1. Play the objective and not actually engage it
    2. Spread your link team further so they all dont get hit
    3. Split your link team and do a coordinated order
    4. Take out the rest of their link

I have a question - since Orc have BS14 and Boarding Shotgun have +6 within 8 inches AND said Orc can technically be part of FT that would grant him +1 to BS attribute, it is technically possible for him to have 21 BS. Would that work like CC aka scoring crit on 20 and 1?

    >>
    >>98886604
What makes you think it wouldnt work that way? If someone walked up to a FT ORC in good shotgun bands they deserve to be crited on 1's as well.
    >>
    >>98886604
Yep. All dice rolls in infinity work on the idea that if you can stack mods to make it go over 20 then it starts applying crits on lower rolls like how it's commonly associated with CC. In a similar vein, if mods would reduce a dice roll to 0 or below you automatically fail the roll. Usually this only happens with BS/CC attacks since not a lot of things give + or - mods related to like PH or WIP, or at least not enough to ever push them over 20 or below 0
    >>98888833
I think anon was just asking since in other wargames (most obvious being newer editions of 40k) there's always a min/max failure/success floor where you can no longer keep stacking mods to get better results.
    >>
    >>98888993
Infinity also has a cap of +/-12 for mods, but that's still enough to overcap

OG Tik's back in the day were specifically for use on jungle words or heavily forested areas. so I imagine the sword is less for chopping people and more for chopping down foliage so it can pass through. >>
    >>98901988
At no point. I find toothpicks horrible for painting, maybe there's some trick to it but if so I don't know it. My trick is to fill the hollow glasses rims flat and make them mirrorshades.

NTA but I use watchmaker magnifying glass to paint eyes and I still struggle since at this point depth of field is absurdly shallow.

    >>98902059
How do you steady your hands to paint something so small?
    >>
    >>98902065
By placing both hands on desk and operating only with fingers. But I still miss from time to time since with eyes even slightest movement might ruin everything.

    Druze. As for a tl;dr
    >Data Harvest, urban city board
    >Tung player has first turn
    >Took the mimetism druze sniper who actually ends up being the MVP since he manages to snipe out half the hollowman link in ARO
    >Assume I'm safe
    >Tung player proceeds to parkour his hollows onto a billboard and then onto a nearby rooftop of a building that runs close to my DZ
    >Hollows hop around using billboards to obscure their approach until the pitcher leaps up and threads a repeater basically right next to my anaconda
    >Interventor total controls Anaconda
    >Valerya manages to snag it back in ARO with her own total control but not before it wipes out the druze sniper, KHD druze, MSV brawler sniper and an engineer brawler
    >My first turn consists of trying to get a bashi parachuted in since at this point I only have Valerya and figure there is a heckler salivating at the idea of trinity fucking her so she's basically DZ locked
    >Anaconda unfortunately was right next to the repeater as I regained control of her so can't do anything with her lest she get carbonite/oblivion spammed to hell
    >Only other thing I have that can take on the hollow's is an EM nade launcher Druze who whiffs all of his hail mary's that can't step out lest he catch a fuerbach round to the face
    >Last hope is basically a bashi that I gamble on not getting domed by a fuerbach securitate so I can at least get some points
    >Securitate guesses the correct decoy and turns bashi into red mush
    >Turn 2 of Tung and the hollows are somersaulting over towards Valerya
    >Repeater lands at her feet
    >Camo marker near opponents DZ suddenly turns into a Heckler and promptly fries her brain
    >Interventor spends two orders to carbonite the anaconda
    >Final specialist (monstrucker) gets a surprise colonoscpy from the BSG hollow who does some hopping and then jumps off the roof and blows her brains out
We called it there. I def made some mistakes and could have played better but the terrain just worked against me HARD

It is what it is. It was my first time going up against a faction that just has objectively better hacking than me 100% of the time so I wasn't really prepared for that. Coupled with my first real time having to deal with an extremely mobile link team and it was bound to be a mess. I tend to struggle a lot with gauging just how "dangerous" stuff is in this game sometimes but I'm not discouraged or anything. Also doesn't help that I'm just too addicted to the idea of taking a TAG in every list...Even in a situation like this I think a Triphammer would have fucked me up all the same, and god forbid If I took Scarface.
    >The rooftop hopping does sound incredibly sick though
It definitely was. Cool stuff to imagine these metallic, lanky bastards weaving in and out of holographic ads and junky looking billboards, peering down and sinking repeaters into concrete while some interventor sits curled up under a bus shelter wreaking absolute havoc from down the street. Part of playing druze is just accepting I'm gonna be cannon fodder for most players, so as long as it's cool it's okay.

Played another game against Tung friend and was absolutely thrashed in every capacity, both from just unfortunate list building and a series of tactical blunders. Game was Hardlock. Won't go super into details but some highlights/fuckups
    >Thought I was being clever with my KHD Druze + Arslan on turn 1 since I ran them up first turn and touched down a Pitcher right into the middle of a Hollow Man core but I unfortunately misjudged the distance since the KHD Interventor nearby was just within range of the repeater who crit fucked my Druze to death through the firewall
    >Valerya managed to get lucky and isolate the Interventor and got to work isolating the entire Hollow Man core
    >When Tung get's their first turn I am unfortunately given a harsh lesson about how much a good combat jump can mess up your whole day as Raoul Spector lands in my DZ. What follows is several orders of my Druze and Brawlers missing all of their chain colts, shotgun blasts and viral pistol shots and half of my list is slaughtered by a single model
    >In a desperate hail mary to get points I try to move Saito Togan up the board in turn 2 to get the beacon where he is uncermoniously killed by a cheerleader with a gun
    >With puppet bots having a tight hold on the HVT (who I needed for my classified) and with my only specialist alive (bashi) about to get K-I-L-L-E-D by cheerkillers we decide to call it a Tung victory since he very clearly would have been able to secure the win
Definitely some very dumb mistakes I could have prevented and I did get pretty unlucky with rolls (Raoul tanked a total of 3 chain colt blasts, 4 viral pistol shots and 1 LSG blast and only took a single wound). Tung as a faction seem to just get SO much out of every single one of their models. Might have to look into more defensive lists in the future since I really struggle with those turn 1 blowouts. Being the one that has to deploy first really sucks too ngl

Do you think it's a coincidence that the werewolf (and werebear) handlers are always young sexy women? One of the squads even has an excuse to ABSOLUTELY always have at least three around her at all times. Sometimes you just know.

    >the Exrah fluff revolves around one of their groups trying to embezzle equipment and getting their shit slapped for it

Less thinking, more reading. The only significant Combined Civ races that don't have some sort of opposition going on are the Ur, Urkherit, and Umbra.
