I like the thread name, this is gonna be a good thread I can tellAlso this place is a black magic factory, Number Sugar in Harajuku, these little caramels are made of fentanyl and japanese girls tears and sweatI had to tape my bag I bought closed so I'd stop eating them
How do you do, fellow Japanese woman lovers?
Boomers out there rawdogging Japan with no data, no tattoos, and no idea what kimchichiwa is . Getting around with paper maps. And y'all wondering why they get all the women and money. Shaking my head's.
>>2915735Anyone who claims Japan is JBW in 2026 is an out of touch boomer. An average Korean man performs miles better than a white Chad. White people are no longer sought after now that their civilisations are on the decline.
>>2915738I don't even know what this comment means>>2915735Has to be a troll, no one is that unselfish aware...right?
I see the thread title brought back the indian poster, he's been gone a few days
>>2915750By indian poster you mean yourself accusing everyone of being Indian?>>2915748I don't understand your comment. The white guy is saying he got rejected, but he's clearly a dweeb maybe an actual incel. I saw a white guy yesterday with a man bun trying to adopt the jap aesthetic. Looked ridiculous to me but he was a good looking guy and had a very attractive asian gf so good for him
I'm going to Japan in a few weeks. I fly into Tokyo, will head to Kyoto for the traditionalism. Where else should I go? I have about 2 days of unplanned stuff in the middle of Tokyo and going to Kyoto. Can I sneak in a cheeky small town on the way in between? Is it easy to change rail tickets last minute?
I just want a comfy stay in Japan. Can I survive in a capsule hotel for two weeks without seeing the sun? I've never been to Japan before but I heard it's an introverts dream.

Does anyone know any good date spots around Osaka in December? I'm meeting up with a Japanese lady I've been messaging since my last holiday. We are already planning to see the illuminations at Nijo castle which she seem excited about so what else is recommended for impressing Japanese women?
>>2915748
>>2915826Take her to a nice onsen spa resort.
>>2915738Koreans probably do well because they are fluent in Japanese. As someone put it in East Asia the Japanese are the reserved, stiff upper lip British types and the Koreans are the wild, passionate Italians. You can see how that might be advantageous in a meat market.White Chads do fine in Japan. That said, the problem with White Chads is they are dilettantes who with rare exception aren't looking to settle down ever (much less during their adventure in Japan). Asian women, even more so than their Western counterparts, are in a hurry to settle down and start making babies.Korean men are discouraged from marrying non-Koreans, so they probably aren't cruising Japan for wives either.
>>2915826Nijo castle is in Kyoto anon, or am I having a seizure
>>2915960You're right to push back here — Nijo Jo is located in Kyoto, Japan. Perhaps the other poster confused Osaka Castle and Nijo Jo due to similar styles of castles and proximity.
For as polite and socially courteous the Japanese are, they certainly are blase about washing their hands after a toilet visit
>>2915826That sounds good, although it may be for a later date as sharing a bath seems a little forward for a first or second date.>>2915960>>2916060Yes I know it's in Kyoto we are taking the train to see it, she lives in Osaka but we don't mind going to places nearby (I should have made it clearer in my first post), I was also thinking of taking her to Hikone or mt koya as she mentioned she likes nature.

>>2916117>>2916117I mean what's your goal here, to bang her? Or you actually want to make her your girlfriendMy advice is really only good for the firstBut Ive been fairly successful here on my trip so far with tappleLemme know, also include your jp and her eigo level
There does seem to be more police/ambulance sirens and motorbike road hooligan sounds in Osaka than I expected for a city in japan where people say everything is supposed to be clean, orderly, and kawaii.
>>2916117Do you have any concept of how big Japan is? Mt Koya is hours and hours from Osaka, as is Hikone. Even Kyoto is pushing it for someone to meet from Osaka.
>>2916178Kyoto is 25 minutes by train from Osaka.
>>2916181By bullet train, yes, which costs 10x a normal train. Yokohama is also only 10 minutes from Tokyo if you go by Shinkansen
>>2916184It's like 20 bucks anon...
>>2915724Know your place. Asians have more right to travel Asia than non-Asians.
>>2916205>>2916184You are both exaggerating idiots
>>2916152Hopefully both, I take you are hiring a private bath for your onsen dates? we have met in person on my last holiday and have been keeping in touch via email and Instagram but I don't think either our English or Japanese are good so Google translate may be doing some heavy lifting like on our first meeting.>>2916178Yes I have been to Kyoto and Hikone on my last trip so an hour or so on the train seems alright to me, she seems pretty happy with Kyoto for a date so I'm guessing it's within her travel radius if not she says she loves animals so we could always do tennoji zoo or the aquarium.
How is Sapporo and Hokkaido in general these days? Been once on a winter trip 15+ years ago and remember it being much more relaxed and sovlful than the south.
>>2916209Quiet dalite.>>2916308Winter is right around the corner. When do you plan to come?
>>2916333More of feeling out than actively planning right now. I think I'd like to go in the summer though. I've lived most of my life decently close to the arctic so I'm in no hurry to do my own winter trips(the previous was a prize from a workplace contest) to places that get snow.
>>2916301I've never done an onsen date like I said I'm just meeting girls one off for dates if you want something s little more serious, you could do thatI'd always recommend "doing something" rather than seeing something if both your speaking levels are meh, since sightseeing leaves alot of empty time, but all my advice is probably useless since you already have met and have previous experience with each other, GL
>>2916252?
>>2916205I live in Japan. Fucking nobody is going to use a bullet train to travel from Kyoto to Osaka, unless it’s a business trip or something and covered by the company.>>2916386>AI screenshotWhen someone lives “in Osaka,” I doubt that means they live AT Osaka Station. It might take her as long as 30 minutes or more just to get to Osaka Station itself. You retards don’t realize how big cities like Tokyo or Osaka are. People who live “in New York” don’t all live inside Penn Station
>>2916395You have no clue what you're talking about, first off the shinkansens don't even depart from Osaka, it's all Shin Osaka and that station is extremely easy to get to all across the city for that exact reasonAnd why the fuck would you not take a shinkansen if given the option? If it's a spur of the moment thing yeah sure just tap and go on the local or rapid express for 30-50 minutesBut if you're planning something why would you not take a faster train that you can schedule ahead of time
>>2916401Because people who live here think differently from tourists. It’s not sustainable take a bullet train from Kyoto to Osaka just because it saves time.
>>2916403I agree generally sure but that's not the situation hereit's a one time date he's doing with that lady lmao, why are you so mad people take shinkansens to save time?
>>2915748Are there ANY countries that are JBW?
>>2916404God, I have no idea desu. Is it that the lady lives in Japan so asking her to take a Shinkansen for a first date would be unreasonable, while for a tourist nothing matters? Or that what is considered “close” or “reasonable” is different between a resident and a tourist who considers taking a bullet train from Kyoto to Osaka a viable option? No, that couldn’t possibly be why I’m talking about it.
>>2916411...what>Hey let's go to Nijo today>Would you rather take a 50 minute local train where we might be standing the whole time>Or would you rather have reserved seats and a 15 minute trip>Demo Nihon Desu dame shinkansen kudosaiThats how it's playing out in your head, I see people literally take a shinkansen one stop in the green car all the time, is it a waste money?Yup, but some people don't care or have too much money
I saw a jbw yesterday at the train station. He was awfully tall, quite young like early 20s, very white and clear skin, little bit of "curl bro" muscle on him so he had some baby biceps, blonde hair with curtain style, and he was with an asian girl I assume is local and she...had a near ogre of a face with some pink color dye in her hair. She wasn't even that short either.I was actually a little surprised and thought he could have gotten cuter. Or cute, at all, since she really wasn't.>jbw on life support
Holy fuck DisneySea is crowded, I was expecting a zoo but this is something else
>>2916423Jbw is reality in every country. Here in Japan it's extremely rare to see a single white person. And almost always they are women. Inter racial couples are wmaf wf Indian male although occasionally you see wmbf
going in about a month.what JDM/exclusive shit can i buy while there to sell back home for profit? or just cheap in japan in general. prioritizing $ per volume/space in my bag.im already into watches and some tcg which are pretty optimal for this, but what else?
>>2916412Not anymore. Stay home and stroke your penis while we take your women and replace you.
>>2915750Your hatred for India reveals your inferiority complex. You will be replaced because you are inferior.
>>2916471Cool, do us, the world, a favour and stay in incredible india. We have enough ubereats delivery drivers.
>>2916468Kill yourself please>>2916471Lol lmao
>>2916414I live here and I travel frequently for work. I don’t watch for how many people get off at each stop on the bullet train, but it is almost insane to imagine taking a bullet train for a date. A day trip, maybe. Not Nijo Castle. I’m not a green car one-stop user. That’s the equivalent of someone who taxis rather than riding the train to meet friends for dinner.
>>2916471More like getting ganged up on and crowded out via sheer numbers and backstabbing.
>>2916482Why are the Japanese rail tickets such a ripoff in price? Individual tickets are almost always cheaper. Do Japanese not understand the concept of a discount or bundled pricing?Price Comparison TableRoute Train Type Individual Ticket Price (Approx.)Tokyo Kanazawa Hokuriku Shinkansen (Kagayaki) ~¥14,600Kanazawa Kyoto Limited Express Thunderbird ~¥6,500Kyoto Osaka Local / Rapid JR Train ~¥600Osaka Hiroshima Sanyo Shinkansen (Nozomi / Sakura) ~¥10,500Hiroshima Tokyo Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen (Nozomi) ~¥19,240Total Individual Cost ~¥51,44014-Day National JR Pass ¥80,000
Are JR passes an absolute meme now?I brought one years ago before the price hike and it was perfect for me because i do shit spontaneously and I'd rather explore freely instead of sticking to a set itinerary. Last time I went i abused the fuck out of the pass and used as much rail transport as I could and bounced around all the major cities on the shinkansen as much as I could in the 10 days i was there. Basically I never knew where I was staying or visiting the next day till I decided the night prior.I'm on the fence on going back again soon and maybe for longer but the prices are fucking extraordinary.
>>2916482I still dont understand your reasoningIf people want to save time or waste money that's on them?Just like flying first class or staying in business hotelsI'll fly first class but I always stay on business hotels, first class is a huge waste of money, and some people would say staying on business hotels is retarded but I hate spending on hotels What's the issue here do you work for JRs rival company or what lmao
>>2916496Do whatever you want. My original point is OP should not include places like Hikone and Mt Koya as viable places for a casual first/second date, even if it is literally possible to make it there by fucking bullet train. This is like an argument I had with an autist who insisted (though it is also literally true) that everyone has time to bicycle to commute to work.
>>2916503Let's agree on something and call it quits friendoFuck bike fags
Is it a bad idea to arrive 2 hours before flight departure at Tokyo Haneda? Normally, I do 3 hours for international flights.I need to transport myself from Osaka to Tokyo on the day of departure. If I take the earliest possible Shinkansen, I arrive at Haneda 2 hours before departure. I can't get there earlier on the same day.The other alternative is to go to Tokyo 1 day before departure, and spend 1 hotel night somewhere in Tokyo.Haneda is the only airport in Japan that offers a direct flight back home, so other airports are not a good option.
>>2916493>Waaah why are jr passes so expensive waaah>I abused them>Waaaah why are they so expensive waaaaaah>I sat on trains my entire trip I am very smart>Waaaaaaah
Buy tickets now or risk the next fuel surcharge update being higher. What do you guys think?
>>2916575Before the price hikes you could save a few bucks with the JR pass if you were smart about it. Now you have to abuse it and spend your entire vacation on a train to get your money's worth. I just buy shinkansen tickets when I need them and use suica for everything else.
>>2916579I try to take local trains so I can sit and relax as I wait my 4 or 5 hours between hotel check out check in times, but I have 90 days so I'm not in a hurry
What is your guys luck with calling ahead to Apa or Toyoko letting them know you'll be arriving technically a day after check in. I don't wanna wait 6 hours after landing to be able to enter my room
>>2916583>Be in Tokyo>Book hotel online>"Japan is living in 2050!">Try to check in>No automated front desk>"Sir sir, your hotel isn't here it's another hotel sir">Mfw I realize it's a Filipina Not a Japanese speaking to me>Ask her to show me to my room>She agrees
>>2916574If you get to the airport 1 hour before international you have like a 5-10 minute window to make baggage. 2 hours youre fine
>>2916384No it's given me a couple of ideas so it wasn't useless at all, and good luck with your dates as well.
>>2916504OK, I can agree with that. Have a good day anon
>>2916597Online check in, digital boarding pass (or kiosk printed boarding pass) and no checked luggage means you can often go right to your gate in 15 minutes if security and immigration lines are short.
>>2916578when is the trip? >>2916493>>2916488yeah cost of transportation is ridiculous. have to get me a bike and a commuter pass to offset the bus and jr rail cost
it seems tax refund that's gonna roll out next month will be like this.>you register you passport on Visit Japan web>buy at store, ask for tax refund, give them your passport>they will ask how you want to get refund. cash, or credit card>mostly it be by credit card, so they will give you a their store link where you'll later put your credit card. Doesn't matter if you paid in cash or credit card. >once you're at the airport before departure flight. Go to these machines, scan you passport. if green you'll get a refund, if red go to manned counter. They're literally do this just to troll boomers lmao
>>2916468Tenka toys
>>2916763Can't be any worse than Germany's tax refund.>Buy something>Take receipt to airport while you're about to leave>They tell you after checking your receipt and passport you need to go back to the store you bought it from for the actual refund>You can't because you're flying home in 3 hours
>>2916589OK but did you get to fuck her
>>2916474Why didn’t you stay in Europe? Now it is revenge time, and you're making it very easy.
Anyone with tips / recommendations for Sapporo, planning on doing a ski trip to Niseko then remaining days in Sapporo. Whats a comfy good hotel near night life. Budgets like 285 USD a night total.

>>2916792Thanks for the vid but we already planned the ski portion of the trip, we have remaining days left while waiting for a flight and were going to spend it in Sapporo.
>>2916797https://youtu.be/kte65ngimYY?si=Is0fYJJyC3DLHgHWI like his vids. It's comfy.Tho if you're travel in winter it's best to stay at hotel that connected to sapporo station by underground so you don't have to carry everything through snows.
Did JR Pass got more expensive in these last years or something or is it just me?Making some calculations for a 2-week trip, suddenly it's better to pay fares on your own than relying on it
>>2916841all of transportation got more expensiveonly way to cut cost on it is the commuter pass
>>2916841They jacked it up about 30% back in 2023 and then there was a 5 or 6% increase two weeks ago. There really isn't a feasible way to use it anymore. You would have to be taking three or four lengthy shinkansen trips a week, which doesn't fit into most people's itineraries.
Good evening. I am currently in Kyoto. So far, I have gotten 5 nihongo juzos. I shall go to NaGOYa tomorrow. Everyone ignores me, though I am quite stylish and get very lucky in finding english speakers. I shall perhaps learn the language and move here, if only because it is much cheaper than back home. I anticipate I will still be quite as lonely as I am now, however. I have abandoned my travel companions, as their leader was rather rude about the very slight delays (and insanely helpful translations/directions/cultural awareness I offered), and sought only for every expensive tourist attraction possible. I will be in Tokyo next week. Whereabouts should I contemplate death?
>>2916401Shinkansen costs about $100 to board, no matter where you go.The AM train to Shin-Osaka (or anywhere down the line, really) is $1.30 and if you're early, you just sit down, take a nap, and arrive in 30-40. Useful for watching the cityscape and cute girls. Perhaps you have never been?

>>2915724Has anybody here stayed at Hotel AZ? Does it live up to the hype?HOTEL AZ operates primarily in Kyushu. A single room costs 6,380 yen (tax included), with breakfast included. The chain has gained popularity because guests can generally stay at the same rate even during peak seasons such as Golden Week, Obon, and the New Year’s holidays. While maintaining this affordable, uniform pricing, the chain has expanded its network—growing from 87 properties at the end of November 2024 to 93 properties as of the end of May 2026.Opening hotels in the suburbs isn’t just about securing inexpensive land. It’s a strategy aimed at meeting the demand from guests who rely on cars for transportation—a segment that is unlikely to overlap with that of hotels located near train stations. However, the location along a major suburban highway has its drawbacks: there are few restaurants or shops in the vicinity, so it’s difficult to find a place to have dinner within walking distance. You could drive, but then you wouldn’t be able to drink.HOTEL AZ compensates for this inconvenience with its on-site services. Some facilities feature a 100-yen shop selling snacks and daily necessities. The on-site restaurant, Shidaka, offers a dinner buffet for 1,210 yen (tax included; 990 yen for children aged 3 and older through elementary school; free for children under 3), and guests can opt for all-you-can-drink alcohol for an additional fee (as of September 2026).While focusing on these services, the hotel keeps guest rooms stripped down to the bare essentials. Rather than adding more amenities or furnishings—which would increase installation costs and cleaning efforts—the hotel prioritizes enhancing the aspects that guests value most, such as free breakfast, parking, and on-site dining. This balanced approach is said to be what supports the hotel’s low prices.https://gendai.media/articles/-/171974https://www.az-hotel.com/https://x.com/azhotel_chain

I get that it’s to fuck over the people screwing over the system but all this just makes me want to fuck it over back, I know it’s small perhaps but will this make ir possible to receive the cashback on the full amount instead of the amount after the refund? Seems like a small win
I'll be going to the country soon (next week) for a full month. I have some plans, but I have some blocks of time that are blank. I'll have a rail pass. This is my second time in the country (3 weeks the last time).- Does anyone have any recommendations for Ryokans? I've never been to one (would prefer an onsen)- Any suggestions for interesting train trips? I don't even give a shit about getting off the train - I just need some time to relax and decompress.- I'm debating going to Iya Valley, or a similar hike. Anyone have experiences with that?I'll check the pinned stuff.
>>2917330I walked in the countryside for a month. Didn't plan shit. Mostly walked at night and stayed in whateve onsen was closest during the day
>>2917332I guess when I think "Ryokan" I am picturing the price/difficulty to book that boutique hotels in North America would have. Am I off-base there? Like, I feel I should be booking through Booking.com or something now, instead of in weeks when I'm there.

>>2917361>Paid nearly 400k yen for ten nightsWhere? The most expensive APAs I've seen are a bit over 20k yen a night.
>>2917361>apa is expensive as fuck for tiny rooms in popular areasthat's my issue with them as well. There are lesser known business hotels that give bigger rooms for the same price or less and can usually be found right next to an apa.
>>2917362> Everyone draws the line somewhere different, and that’s fair, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable for people to care about it either. He's the most stereotypical japanese boomer with the most typical boomer views, it's almost expected, just because he's rich people know what he thinks rather than a million random old obaasans saying the exact same thing every day, I shrug. You're on a website owned by a guy who publicly said hostesses in hostess bars should put up with violence because they earn high wages, personally I think Hiro went a bit mask off there, he seems cool the rest of the time.

I'm going soon. I have some loose plans but nothing super solid, just cities and days. I figure I can just freeball it and see what happens, it's not like my life depends on having a perfect itinerary. Has a perfect itinerary ever really made someone happy compared to the hours of miserable planning that went into it? Some friends sent me their itineraries and they literally planned ahead what restaurant to get lunch at. That must be an indicator of major psychological issues
>>2917460>they literally planned ahead what restaurant to get lunch at.OMG, I would stay the fuck away from them. I even only booked hotels for the first two nights before going ... but I understand that's really not for everyone.

>>2917440>dick touching the bowl freaks me out tooWhat's up with that anyway, every single time I wake up with a half-chub and want to take a piss in the morning the head of my dick ends up scraping the inside of the toilet bowl. I don't get the japanese, they obsess with cleanliness to the point where they have dedicated slippers for going for a piss, and then they design the toilet in a way that you have to dunk your dick into the germs of every previous cock that sat on it.

How far along is the foreigner fatigue in Tokyo? Last time I was there a lot of them were sick and tired of indians. Has it progressed to hostility towards whites yet?
>>2917666The only thing that gets more expensive is hotel rates. Since tourist spots are in their peak season, stores there stay open. In other areas, however, most stores—except for convenience stores—are closed from Dec 30 to Jan 3.

>>2917697it's genuinely not. it's not some graphic T with naruto on it but it's a black custom t-shirt with the Key visual novel studio logo on it. it's oversized not because i am fat but because my mother dressed me until I was 28 and said my size was an 'extra large' so that's what i thought until i took a full body picture of myself once and almost offed myself at how bad i looked. im actually a size medium.she was in the shower yelling ね、ね! 大きいTシャツ! and i didn't know what she meant at first because im a sexless autist but she wanted an oversized shirt to sleep in. i mean to me it too seems like an unbelievable story but something like this happened twice now. im still a virgin because i didn't have any condoms so i didn't want to risk it.im trying to set up a date with her but she has been really slow to respond so im thinking it was a one-and-done. she forgot something at my place too that i want to give back. i washed my sheets but my couch still smells like her so ive been sniffing it to remind myself that this actually happened

I have a trip coming up soon and I'm trying to figure out how to spend the last week. On the second to last week, I fly to Fukuoka on Sunday, stay there for 2 nights, then go to Nagasaki for 2 nights. I want to be back in Tokyo by the next Friday so I'll have 2 nights before the return, so that leaves me with about 8 nights to plan out. I definitely want to go to Beppu so that'll be at least 2 nights, but any other recommendations? >>2917778You'll want longer in Nagasaki. Yufu and Aso are down there are were enjoyable when I visited in late 2019. They're scenery and you'll probably want to hire a car if you do, but if that doesn't interest you then it's not really worth visiting.>>2917796Most normalfags who go to Japan don't understand why they're doing so. Anything fun or stories around sendai, hachinohe, aomori and hakodate?
>>2917829i really liked sendai, great day trips nearby - yamadera & matsushima bay, city has great scenery itself also, plus the nightlife district kokubunch, is lively without being a tourist hellhole like other placeswould recommend
>>2917829i have a japanese friend in aomori and had the opposite of this happen >>2917682we went to an izakaya together and there were at least 8 open tables yet everyone else who walked in (japanese) was told it was fully reserved.the building connected to hachinohe station had this really impressive Son Goku display which was cool https://visithachinohe.com/stories/hachinohe-sannshataisai-sansharekishi/oirase gorge is a famous scenic spot but it's not quiet enough for my taste, there are lots of busses pulling in tourists. the towada lake is another one. i didn't do much tourist stuff there because i was staying with their family, so we did inaka stuff instead. i walked around with their son and kids would come up to us on their bikes showing what bugs they caught today.i prefer that area but not as a standard tourist because i hate having to bus around everywhere.
>>2917839>plus the nightlife district kokubunch, is lively without being a tourist hellhole like other placesIroha yokocho nearby gets a few tourists, but isn’t overrun like places in Tokyo or Osaka. >>2917839>>2917877Starting in tokyo in december after christmas, would you reccomend taking the train north to places and stopping for nights along the way to get to sapporo, then flying back to tokyo after in early jan?
>>2917867Is there a third? I know which one you're talking about because I accidently walked through it when I was out exploring random train stops. Wondering if there's a another surprise somewhere.
>>2917880There really isn't much past Sendai. Unless:>you are a Real Traveler(tm) and need to gloat about going to dying towns for 4chan upvotes>you have very specific reasons for going, such as festivals or hopping from one ski resort to another
>>2917749This, yeah. I don't care when it happens since most of the time I'm just wandering picking places at a whim. It's their country, they can do what they want. Throw down a quick gome, don't be a dick about it, and hit the bricks; you'll probably be seated at another place in under 5 minutes especially in the major cities.
>>2917878It's ok, you get what you pay for. Also check out the Super Hotel chain.
>>2917884I only know of Tobita and Matsushima. Don't think there's a third. They do after all pretend to be restaurants so it would be obvious if there was a third area filled with small "restaurants". I actually like Matsushima better as I feel the area is safer compared to the poor as fuck area that Tobita is located next to. I've seen police patrol around Tobita but never Matsushima. The shitty bar area next to Tobita is so far the only place I've seen Japanese randomly pissing on the street.
>>2917884>>2917904theres 5 in osaka actually, with tobita being the easiest and most popular, matsushima being essentially the same thing but less popular or older womenthe other 3 tho...takii operates like the previous two, and those are meh foreigner friendly, this one is not at all, you need good spoken japanese and this one is very small selection here, its calling card is NS for alot of the girls, you will get hostile looks here unless you can speak well or handsome enough the girls dont careshinodayama & imazoto ill group together since they work the same basically, these are even less foreigner friendly and you need conversational level japanese here id say - because - theres no street facing here, you walk into a "restaurant" theres no girls or pictures of the girls, instead you describe what you like/want and the staff will match a girl given what they have, this is often a complete coin flip but thats part of the fun, last time i went here i told the lady i wanted a girl that looked like Seto Kanna and i swear to god her twin sister spawned from the nether, results vary wildly herei dont recommend these latter 3 places unless youre very confident in your japanese, you can bull your way thru takii if youre good looking tho thats what i did the first time, the other 2 dont
>>2917906Thanks for the information of the additional areas. I completely missed them when I was I Osaka. But from your description it is probably for the best. My Japanese is okay at best and I usually get around without using any English, but I don't trust it to hold up when it comes to "restaurants". And I'm not good looking. At best every Japanese girl wants to comment about my height + muscles, and sometimes my eyes as they are a very rare color. Although I am a little bit tempted to just check out the areas for the fun of it the next time I'm in Osaka.I suppose the Japanese requirement is why those areas never get discussed on the foreign forums. I am kinda surprised only Osaka has these streets and that none of the other larger cities follow suit. Especially since in Tokyo the girls just straight up stand on the streets these days.
>>2917691Good for you man. Hope you wore a rubber because someone who's that easy will be carrying a lot of nasty shit
>>2917908osaka has the "streets" because they cant have soaps, other places can have soaps so no need

there are a million billion Japanese locations. In the west we have a hard cap on street, city, park and county names
>tobita, matsushimaDo the chefs in japan have signatures that locals can perceive? In america, chefs are all disgusting and appear as crude washed up drug addicts. You can tell from theor makeup, mannerisms, and clothing that they're a chef. Is this also the case in japan? Or does cosplay culture mask their profession from locals?Do the chefs you met generally appear happy and in good health? When do they retire, and do they ever change industries? Its fascinating how those chefs with perfect teeth, clear skin, soft features, healthy hair, etc can manifest a lifestyle that's so extreme. Japanese women may always be a mystery
>>2917931Everyone i have seen in food prep in japan appears to be a normal looking highly competent person. From McDonalds staff to the chefs at business hotel buffets, you can often see them working. Food consistently perfect. I dont really like jap food but the western stuff they make is better than in the countries it originated in.
>>2917939Figurative chefs. But this phenomenon applies to literal chefs in Japan too. Its so fascinating to me
>>2917939Anon, they are talking about the Amsterdam-style red light districts where the establishments are registered as restaurants where the guest is served in a private room by the chef (the girl) where they just so happen to fall in love with each other and do love making. It is done this way in order to bypass the anti-prostitution laws and is a similar loophole that soaplands use. For whatever reason the Japanese government is happy to just look the other way on what is clear lawbreaking.
>>2917943The male admin in a nice suit walked me to a room. I handed him a payment and he didn't take it. He explained I would give that to someone as a "gift". His ettiqutte and politeness were remarkable.

>>2917803>You'll want longer in NagasakiYeah I've been told that before, so I could totally stay there for an extra 2 days before heading to Beppu. Looking at the map, Yufu is really close to Beppu, so I could probably visit both easily. From what I'm seeing online from pictures, Aso looks really great, so would be nice to visit there definitely, but like you said I would want a car to get around easier since public transport is basically nonexistent, so I think I will pass for now. I'll save the southernmost parts of Kyushu for a dedicated trip with a car in the future, I don't think it's worth getting it for the sake of just a few days. Thank you for the suggestions!

time to blogpost i guessi just got back from a 40day trip gonna list all the places i stayed and rate them landed at HND and stayed in Shinagawai liked Shinagawa alot, the main station there connects easily back into the main of tokyo and south to yokohama and kawasaki, also the shinkansens depart from there making a trip to kyoto/osaka super easynot tons of tourists and its alot less busy than most of tokyo, a good first stopcaught a chiba marines game and tokyo giants game and the giants game managed to get a cheering section ticket, so that was fun8.5/10, would recommend
>>2918037went to Kyoto nexti...liked it i guess? i super close to the station the first hotel right out of the south exit, so i was just so tired of seeing fat boomer tourists and browns after one day theredid the typical "big 3" of the bamboo grove, inari taisha, and kiyomizu dera all on seperate days to space them out and explore the areas around them but all three were so slammed with people it was hard to enjoyid honestly rate kyoto a 6/10, its something you need to go see, but id never go back for a second trip
>>2918039Osaka nexti really liked Osaka, maybe im just a degenerate but i liked the vibe here alot, my only gripe with the city was the stations here are all super annoying, Namba station especially is aidsdid day trips to both Nara and Himeji and a whole day just wandering around osaka itselfid honestly recommend osaka over kyoto and just daytrip over to kyoto, osaka has way more interesting things to see/do but again maybe im just a degenerateosaka 9/10
>>2918041Hiroshima nextit was silver week when i was here, so it was giga crowded but i still really enjoyed iti honestly couldnt give a reason why, i just really liked this city alot, went and did the nuke historical sites one day and Itsukushima anotherthe tram was reserve only the day i went, so hiking up mt misen was...fun but worth it in the endhiroshima 9.5/10
>>2918042Kanazawamuch like hiroshima i just really liked this city, maybe cuz there werent a ton of toursits there?i had multiple times here where i was just talking to a local/locals for over an hour at a bar or over lunch, everyone was super friendly here plus i started my poker crusade here really after dabbling in osaka, for the whole trip i tended to spend my days sightseeing and my nights either on dates or if no date that night playing pokerkanazawa 9.5/10
>>2918041>liked the vibe here alotWhat about it?>osaka has way more interesting things to see/do but again maybe im just a degenerateWhat did you do anon :)
>>2918043Naganonagano was pretty slow, like super slow, saw very few tourists, and after about 8pm i swear the whole city is down for the count except for a couple places to eatone day i did mt togakushi and the 5 shrine walk and went to matsomoto another daynagano 7/10
>>2918045Sendaisendai was cool, just enough people enough to feel like a bigger city like osaka or tokyo without super huge crowds everywhere, with a cool nightlife place in kokubunchodid day trips to matsushima bay and yamadera temple, both worth going tolike kanazawa people were chatterboxes here and i hung out with alot of locals alotplus they had alot of poker places =)sendai 9pic related was me getting trapped into an all ladies tour group cuz they saw me listening to the guide, once i let them know i mostly understood they dragged me along>>2918044idk people always said it was grimy, but it didnt feel like that to me, at all >>2918044 =)played alot of poker, stayed out way too late on dates, and ofc gooned at the "streets" when i didnt have a date
I'm going to Japan, solo, for the first time from Nov 3 to the 19. Already planned my first 6 nights in Tokyo. I'm also traveling back to Tokyo and spending my final night there so I don't have trouble on my departure day. I have 8 nights left to plan. 5 Kyoto and 3 Osaka or 4 and 4?
>>2918046i stayed my last couple weeks in tokyo but i moved hotels around the city to stay in different placesfirst spot was Ueno, couple minutes away from the stationwent to the zoo, and maybe im gay now but the zoo just depressed me, i felt bad for the animals they all looked so sadwent to the national muesems, fun and the tokyo imperial palace, which is a skip dont waste your timeakihabara is trash, just retard tourists everywhere being stupidinstead go to pic relatedueno is fine, nothing bad nothing exciting, it was much cheaper than my next two stopsueno 8/10
>>2918048stayed in shibuya nextshibuya much like kyoto kind of just annoyed me with how many dumb tourists there were everywhere, hit some shrines and sites around the city and that helped escaped the crowdsdaikanyama t site is a stand out recommendationsato sakura museum also is a must see if you canapothecary diaries pop up at the MORI tower was coolbut my trip was winding down so i mostly hung out with some local friends i made playing poker, went on dates, and played poker at night with the previous twoshibuya 7.5
>>2918031You can but Grimace literally filed a sexual assault charge against me saying I drugged him with samurai cheeseburgers all of which he ate of his own volition, like 8 of them toothink he just regretted itI'd be wary having sex with any of them in future, maybe birdie if im drunk enough.>>2918043poker is too suspicious in Asia, some of those halls are just scamspachinko is at least slightly less dodgy
>>2918050shinjuku was the last spotand you might think if i didnt like kyoto or shibuya id for sure hate thisbut much like osaka, the "vibe" for lack of a better word fit me like a glovei went to disney world sea one day, but other than that i shopped a bit during the morning then hung out with friends i made or played poker literally all day some daysim sure some people would say why would you play poker all day on a holiday, but id say thisyou want on a vacation something authentic, local, and uniqueplaying poker was all 3, i went out to drink/eat almost every night with people that i played with that day or made plans to hang out the following day, it was something "real" in the sense they saw i was actively engaging in japanese with them and i didnt get treated like a tourist but a friendplus chicks dig poker out here, it was a great date spot to take chicks before after or duringplus im pretty good at poker, pic related is the store rankings for the month when i left, im #3 shinjuku 10/10
>>2918050>kind of just annoyed me with how many dumb tourists there were everywhereits painful, Shibuya and Shinjuku are magnets for the worst tourist retards the west can offer
>>2918052wasnt the least bit dodgy at all, you play for "points" usually its not like pachinko where you can actually win money, its literally just for fun or JOPT tickets sometimesi would recommend if you do go, youre either very experience at poker or have at least decent japanese, ideally both, so you can talk and play at the same time>>2918054thats also why i kinda just shut in all day with the poker crew, in all my days playing poker i saw another tourist twice and both left super quick
>>2918048>maybe im gay now but the zoo just depressed me, i felt bad for the animals they all looked so sadJapanese zoos being depressing and more like a prison for the animals is nothing new.
>>2918046Japanese (and Chinese) aunties are very good at casting spells over me. They are so relaxing, charming, and beautiful. Its a delight to experience
>>2918055If there's no actual money involved then it seems like it would actually be fun and decentI've played tables in Singapore, Macau and Taiwan a fair bit, you can just tell there's some groups trying to get an edge and know each other well, the casinos don't give a shit about stopping it unless its full blatant. The guys openly being friends are fine, it's the ones who clearly know each other but pretend they don't raising eyebrows. I'd only play headsup as a precaution, there's always some Asian guy willing to try his luck too so it's cool. On the plus side the places in Taipei have some smoking hot dealers
I fell in love with a Japanese chef. All that is on my mind right now is going back to Japan as soon as I can. The only thing holding me back is the fact that the chef is getting more bookings these days and it looks like the restaurant is much busier than the last time I visited her.
I walked down one of those streets before noon today near shinesaki which also was a dump and full of subhuman non japs, just before I got there I saw a Jap pissing on the street a bunch of old broken looking dudes milling about. Felt nothing but disgust as I walked along and left within 1 minute. Went to the Osaka zoo which was quite nice for people watching

>>2915932>Asian women, even more so than their Western counterparts, are in a hurry to settle down and start making babies.Ahahahah is that what they tell you? Hookup culture in Japan is insane. >>2918071Honestly that post was a little exaggerated. I am missing her cooking after I've tried local dishes and had awful experiences with them. It doesn't help that she's also attractive and I don't think about other customers when I'm dining with a chef.
>>2918081Approaching women in Japan has an abysmal success rate, and even then you're more likely to catch an std. It's not normal in Japan to harass random women on the street.
>>2918076I've heard they are comfy to use but cleaning up can take some effort.

>>2918087Don't mock me; help me.
>>2918048>went to the zoo, and maybe im gay now but the zoo just depressed me, i felt bad for the animals they all looked so sadNah, that's one of the most common sentiments people have for japanese Zoos. I love most of the country, but their treatment of animals is fucked up, no denying that.
>>2918073>You will not find a girl over 20 who hasn't done it even if she has a boyfriend. If you want easy sex, go to Japan. You know nothing about Japan. The sloots who didn’t go to high school (which, for the idiots here, isn’t compulsory in Japan) and work shitty jobs or carve themselves up and work in the sex trade, sure. But for non-retards who work hard in HS and go to good universities? Virgins abound.
>>2917910I took home a girl from a bar in Osaka by the "go up to her and say hi" method (but in Japanese) last year. Took the condom off between rounds and forgot to put a fresh one on. Got tested twice when I came home, didn't get anything.
>>29180478 nights in Osaka and daytrip over to Kyoto when you want to go there. Osaka > Kyoto always.
>>2918109I don't focus on chasing girls. I just talk to people and respond to posts with tags related to my fetish shit. Fetish just happens to have a lot of japanese people in it and at some point I ended up talking to some new account that was asking questions in Japanese, responded since everyone uses the autotranslate feature and lo and behold after some back and forth and some DMs it turned out to be some lonely girl in Chiba.
>>2918122What is said fetish
>>2918122I don't focus on it either, but I've been socially isolated here for a month already and increasingly feeling the desire to not live like this all the time.Searching for fetish tags and just interacting does sound like a good idea.

I'm looking for a smaller city or town to visit for a couple of nights during my late Nov-mid Dec trip and was eyeing Ise. Unfortunately I have to fly both into and out of Narita and wish to visit Osaka while I'm there, so was looking for something within that general area. Is there anywhere else I could go that's better, given that I'm unwilling to hire a car due to budget considerations and inexperience driving outside of my home country? As a comparison, I really enjoyed visiting Tottori and Matsue last time I was there with my mother but we had a car then, so I'm looking for something similar that doesn't require one. Happy to walk, take buses etc.>>2918157The worst I saw was a white guy with a cigarette asking a policeman for directions in English, then as he walked away he looked back over his shoulder to make sure he wasn't being watched then flicked the butt on the ground.
