So I'm putting a lot of consideration into buying an airbrush. What would you guys recommend that's a good balance between quality and price?
>>11930716Iwata Neo is a decent starter brush and only $75. It CAN be a little ass to clean, but it will still provide good coverage. You could also get the Eclipse. Better quality and easier to clean, but double the priceYou also have to get a compressor, so take that into consideration
Hey fellas i;m starting my christmas shopping early and figured I'd ask you are there any good fantasy themed kits that aren't the Yugi-oh or 30mFantasy kits?
As a euro, where the fuck do I find this guy? Seems to be sold out in every store I can find
>>11931250First time?
>>11931251In the thread? Yeah, but yes, also in this situation, sorta, there was Gouf Zaku that was out of stock for a while, but it wasn't nearly as long as this one
>>11931250Bandai has such a huge catalog of kits across all of its lines that loads of them go for years without reprints. So your only recourses are to either wait years for a possible reprint, or search ancient Japanese mom and pop shops for leftover stock from previous printing runs.

>>11931048>You also have to get a compressor, so take that into considerationI've seen a few kits that have little box compressors with them in the $100 range, but I don't imagine something like that will hold up well long-term. Iwata Neo seems like a good place to start from, thanks.
>>11931048>>11931411>Iwata Neo>chinese-made>pain in the arse to cleanThere's nothing quite like bad cleaning experience to turn you off the whole thing.
My Sazabi collection is growing. The clear one isn't very photogenic though.
>>11931442What makes this one a pain to clean? Looks the same as any other airbrush to me
>>11932173The difference is in the nozzle, see pic related. You need to remove the nozzle in order to properly clean the channel, especially after strong pigments like red or yellow and after primer.Iwata has a nozzle assembly that you can pull out with your fingers and then put back in, no tools required, takes a fraction of a second. Cleaning is a pleasure.Neo has a tiny nozzle that you need to unscrew from the body using a tiny tool and then screw back on when you're done. You have to be careful not to mess up the thread and not to destroy the tiny rubber o-ring by screwing it on too tightly. The tiny shit is also a lot easier to lose. You will hate cleaning after 2 or 3 times.
>>11932035looks like you did a good job of putting it together cleanly; no blatant fucky-wuckies.
>>11932180>after 2 or 3 timesHow frequently are you taking apart your air brush? A full nozzle disassembly isn't necessary for cleaning unless something isn't working correctly
>>11932249>How frequently are you taking apart your air brushAfter every session and by "apart" I mean removing the nozzle and the needle to clean the channel.>full nozzle disassembly isn't necessary for cleaning unless something isn't working correctlyI don't wait till "something isn't working correctly", that's probably why my airbrushes still work after 10+ years.
>>11932229Being a clear kit I was a bit more careful with nub removal on account of the possibility of seeing it through the kit.
Let's say you got https://www.hlj.com/mr-cotton-swab-triangular-superfine-type-gnzst04 and they are just not fine enough for what you want to do.Here's how to make them hyperfine (sort of) in one easy step.
