    >>Overview
We are going to construct some mechs. This is a stand alone thread for mech construction challenges. Each scenario given will have 4 days to submit an entry. You may submit more than once (like we could tell anyhow) but each must be on its own post. The bids will then be compiled and voted on by Anons in the thread to determine who gets the contract. Voters should consider the mech's cost, effectiveness in the desired role, and the fluffiness of the sales pitch and description.

    >>Rules
Year, tech base, and tech level to be used for the mech will be specified in the scenario, and should be followed.
Positive quirks must equal or be exceeded by negative quirks, with no more than 6 quirks total.

    >>Formating
Mech pitches should be formatted as follows:
    Chassis Model
    Role
    Weight
    Quirks
Battle Value at a 4/5 pilot
    Dry Cost in C-Bills
Sales pitch and In setting fluff.

    >> Voting categories
We will have a few. Often they will be
    1: Favorite design
    2: Most innovative design
    3: Best Narrative
    4: Meth baby
We may include a 5th “best fits the requirements” for some challenges.
A top 5 of the most votes will also be listed

    >> voting for Challenge 24 will be posted after the OP

I'm surprised there wasn't more designs with RACs, seems like a missed opportunity.

    >>If you were the procurement officer for a unit, which mech would you order?
The Torrent seems to be the most practical of the bunch. Takes up a defensive position and lays down 120 spread damage for up to 6 turns, jams permitting. The large laser also seems nice for just picking off tanks or something that's already weakened from a barrage after your shit's jammed.
    >>Which is your personal Favorite?
Grand Turtle GDT-1R mostly because of just the sheer amount of AC5s mounted. Amusingly expensive too.
    >>Which is the most innovative?
Charger CGR-HH-X. I didn't even know you could do that sort of thing.
    >>Who is the meth baby?
Horse Fly. AC2s loaded with flechettes and a single jump jet is certainly a choice. Would be a pretty good infantry hunter though.
    >>Which had the best narrative?
Vindicta VDC-1A. Spooky ghost mech, could be a Blake remnant design considering how quickly it was buried.

    >Horse Fly
I am going to be brutally honest I am going to say this category is too vague this time around and you could make an argument for anything. The Horse Fly though I think does fill a rather interesting niche as an anti-infantry platform with some range and also using stealth. Its basically the Jackrabbit but actually useful. These are basically one of those mechs that I wouldn't use it often but I'd always want to have one in reserve so could see some purchases despite being an unpopular assignment and some questionable design choices.

    >>Which is your personal Favorite?
    >>98904793
    >Grand Turtle GDT-1R
Cause the sheer retarded amount of autocannons anon managed to squeeze on a quad turret.

    >>Which is the most innovative?
    >>98895071
    >Affront Mk. 1
Close one for me but giving it to this mainly because it is a LAM that actually can dogfight weirdly in ASF mode over anything else. Give that thing flak rounds and it'll be able to snipe lighter ASF.

    >>Who is the meth baby?
    >>98899311
    >Bulletstorm BLT-10
Tough decision here but I am picking this because of how hilariously inefficient it is and also for the fact you can make this at 100 tons if you really wanted to which would represent a substantial saving in costs.

    >>Which had the best narrative?

    >Torrent
Starting out as a drunken bet could realistically sum up 90% of all Battletech designs. Fluff feels really on canon with how a lot of things came into being as well so giving it here.
