It'd be cool if AoS got an army like the Dark Denizens of Mirkwood from MESBG. Just an army of monsters, wild beasts and critters rampaging across the board. Pure monster carnage. Would be a lot of cool shit they could do with it.
    >>
    >TQ
Probably the horse maggotkin guy, because he’s unpainted
The thing that scares me the most are the Pusgoyles because I’ve already broken several of the wings and I don’t want to transport them.
    >>
    >>98901928
    They are not.
Their units are average, but slow and overcosted (they got their points upped once they entered the "legends soon" document, and their best melee units hammerers also got their damaged completely binned into uselessness.) Their best unit is the Irondrakes and were the go-to ranged unit for CoS until recent changes.
Longbeards were also neat in 2nd and 3rd edition where they could dispel enemy manifistations and mess with their spellcasters by grumbling at them.

That’s honestly what I want for destruction, they could probably put it in gargants. It’s just stuff that hides in their pubes or stuff, or maybe a ultra gargant gargant is too lazy to participate in a battle and he just drops some lice/parasites to deal with something minor.
    >>
    >>98901950
Nta but gonna try to guess.

Idk got turtles, dual kit, foot heroes.
    Khorne got foot heroes.
    Tzeentch got curseling.
DoK got krethusa and some foot heroes and the armored hats.
    FS got soup.

    >>
    >>98901976
Monster Menagerie is always cool. Something Warhammer Fantasy used to do a lot of, and sometimes TOW does it now as well, that I think AOS could use is weird combined army lists. Granted, AOS used to have cities of sigmar as the ULTIMATE weird combined army list, but you would get weird and interesting thematic combos like how you could build a Hell Pit army in Fantasy with specialised chaos marauders to be used as fast damage dealers, alongside your skaven beasties and such. I think Destruction would be a perfect opportunity for such a force, which could also represent various bits of wildlife that are around in the mortal realms, which get mentioned but never really shown in detail
    >>
    >>98902319
They're both me and I don't expect it to be as good as the GD winner, but I want to discuss how it was done so I can do it for my minis
    >>
    >>98902333
They barely even tolerate big waaaagh so I was pretty worried about fun combined armies but the dorf book has the AoR and the majority of RoRs are interesting enough to pass for playable.

Behold, probably the cheapest way to build a legal 1000pts army right now. 18 Rogres, a Grey Seer and an Engineer for 40 eurobucks thanks to the Spearhead magazine.
You may hate-not like it, yes yes, but this is what peak-best performance looks-is like.
Engineer serves as a base for a Master Moulder proxy here. GW was always insane with their prices but charging 25eur for a monopose infantry hero is simply on another level. Years of buying kits on the secondary market made me too detached from the bleak reality normies live in, it seems.

cathay pretty easily maps onto cities of sigmar for proxies. the only issue is that miao ying is somewhat too large to use as tahlia, the dragon doesnt really fit on a 100mm (talias base is unusually small for such a big monster), but as long as you're willing to fudge that one base size everything else fits.

After watching the arkanaut trailer, the great taurus makes a lot more sense to me that it's not just living stone but has to be animated like that. Feels similar to the chaos dwarfs in total war awakening their k'daai. But it also makes me think the modelers are probably designing models according to a "would this look good in cgi" mindset instead of "does this make sense on a tabletop" which is why these models look good in animation but kind of weird on the table.
