Getting a harem seems unwise to me. It takes at least two days of intimacy a week to maintain a serious relationship, so if you have even three harem members, you'll only have one day left in a week for free time. All of your downtime goes into managing a harem's logistics instead of training or resting. Larger harems build up a backlog that's an ever-escalating problem to deal with. One waifu is the way to go for maximum life satisfaction. I could maybe see the reason in having two but that is a lot of work for limited benefit.

The harem comes as a bit of a surprise but was foreshadowed thoroughly, and a believable outcome of the protag's worldview and actions. I would not call it a slow burn at all but it paces its romance really well with its slice of life and superheroism.
