Running a BRP game. Party is to the point where they have their own lands and army. I'm looking for rules for them..nothing crazy mainly up keep costs.
>>98883775tekumel has great rules for army/town management and can be ported to d100 games quite well, grab the conversion notes from the old archive.
>>98883775Sounds like HârnManor might fit if you want a strictly feudal High/Late Medieval flavor where armies are typically levies of a few hundred men and answer the summnors of a lord for a few months of summer campaigning per year. It's designed to run something up to the size of a barony with a single castle controlling within a 5 league radius some 10-30 manors of 600-3600 acres, mostly manorhouses and their associated villages each held by a single knight, with perhaps an abbey, market town and military order mixed in. PCs are typically recommended to be be either vassal knights holding their separate fiefs (especially if the players enjoy bookkeeping), or the close retinue of a lord so that they can more easily adventure together. A "council of PC barons" works fine too, but if you're looking at any other type of society than feudal lands (e.g. an expeditionary mercenary company that runs on coin and loot, or a city-state with citizen soldiers), or more than two levels of liege-vassal obligations, the system's narrow focus makes it unsuitable. The soldiers-per-acreage contributions are simple yet effective to calculate, but manor budgets from agriculture and other resource flows (including labor obligations of peasants) can be as detailed as you want with a huge list of optional rules. As each manor typically provides a heavy cavalry knight, a light cavalry squire, two foot Yeomen, and should have one or more foresters trained in hunting who can go on expeditions as scouts in a pinch, you're looking at armies of a few hundred when fully assembled by the overlord. The vast majority of military funding is handled through land grants, only the richest vassals, the Big Man In His Castle or a military order can afford the salaries of fully professional mercenaries/sergants.
>>98883775You might be able to port Errant's Domain stuff (or just roll it behind your screen.)https://kerozelvin.itch.io/domains-dominionsThere's also this thing.
