What do you mean "allow"? Players do what players will. I don't decide that. NPCs might or might not reciprocate any possible advances.

    >>98871397
I've been thinking lately that AI's become kind of like trannies. I mean that in the sense that at some point, when transsexuals started to get more attention in public discourse, some people apparently started to see trannies everywhere. Like, you'd see people online respond to pictures of women no one would considered odd-looking or masculine in the slightest a few years before by claiming they were men, doing deep analysis on their jawlines and so on. It's kind of like that with AI art now, with people being obviously primed and ready to spot it everywhere, even in places where it doesn't actually exist. I'm pretty sure I've seen some pieces made decades ago get accused of being AI-made.

I think you need to have a serious conversation about consent with your players.

The actual answer is that it being AI or not is irrelevant because it's a meaningless topic that only exists to farm OC, and calling it AI derails the subject and pisses off faggots who think the distinction matters in a thread about harvesting human-generated content.

I don't get romance for my characters because when the GM is your brother in law it's kind of weird. Except when it's a character suspiciously similar-sounding in appearance and personality to the GM's sister except much more bitchy for some mysterious reason.
    >>
It mostly happens off screen. One character recently got put into an arrangement marriage. I mean, he wasn't forced into it, but basically if he wanted a certain piece of land he had to marry a lords daughter to get it. So now he's been spending some time with her (at royal luncheons and balls) and I don't know what kind of roll it is to see if he falls in love with her. Raw opposed charisma? Raw opposed willpower? Should I just leave it up to him totally? You don't get to choose whether you fall in love irl. Sometimes it happens and it's very inconvenient.

I came here to see hay bale romance and I'm disappointed
    >>
    >>98871385
One of the couples in my group always has something going on between their characters (or between one of the NPCs and the PC if she's GMing). Usually a romance but they've also done brother/sister, father/daughter and knight/squire (actually, that one was probably a romance too). They're polite enough not to make the game about them but I'm sure they're doing a whole ERP thing on the side.
I'd find it kinda cute if there wasn't inevitably some sort of massive power imbalance dynamic built into their back story (like, in our current campaign he's playing some decadent noble fop and she's the tomboy barbarian that he purchased as a slave bodyguard). I assume this carries over into their IRL relationship given she's got his name literally cut into her inner thigh and her back looks like it belongs to a plantation runaway.

My character always makes sure they have a knife when there's a mattress around.
    >>
    >>98871385

Romances in fantasy are often trauma-bonded and can end up catastrophically. When characters survive harrowing trials together, their emotional intensity gets dialed up to extreme levels. However, because these relationships are forged in crisis rather than healthy interpersonal dynamics, they frequently cross the line into psychological codependency or toxic trauma bonds. Instead of helping each other heal, the partners feed into each other's darkest impulses. If one partner loses their way or descends into vengeance, the other justifies it because they share the same wound. A classic tragedy of trauma-bonded couples occurs after the main villain is defeated. When the adrenaline fades and peace arrives, the couple realizes they have nothing in common without a crisis to unite them.

I'm playing in a game where my character is in a relationship with a major NPC. It's the most invested I've been in a TTRPG character ever.

Like, I don't expect you sociopathic misanthropes with the charisma of a wet skunk to understand, of course you couldn't, you're so full of hate and so incapable of holding a normal conversation with the opposite sex you couldn't possibly understand finding joy in watching a character you've created and gotten attached to fall in love and find happiness, you lot can't be happy for others because you lack basic empathy, to you social rejects all women are LE FEMOIDS or whatever, but as someone who has actually social intelligence, I'm having a great time. They're even gonna hook up and have kids later which will further build on the character's development from what they've already gone thorugh.

So yeah if your group isn't from this shithole or its sister site Reddit, it's great.

Again, garuntee you're a tranny IRL. I am not my character. I will never be my character. They are a fictional construct, a fictional character that is distinct from me. If you can't understand that concept, you are mentally ill.

Never done romances in tabletop. Usually I did them on vydia. The pattern I noticed, especially while playing female characters, is that either I kept sacrificing my love for the greater good or the mission, or picked up love interests who were tragic or doomed.

Never down it before, but I'm currently running a vtm game, that is less vtm and more a CW tv show, for a couple of zoomers. It's a ton of fun, I'm pretty sure most of /tg/ would fuckin' hate it, but the player characters getting boyfriends has dominated the last two sessions.

Outwardly that's what the relationship my PC has with the NPC she's with has but in reality it is an unhealthy dependent relationship where she's using him to invalidate her own toxic perception of herself and her abilities that is absolutely going to cause problems at some point.
    >>
    >>98884338
Of all things, I'm in a Dragonball game and my character has reached a point where she's dating yamcha, who in this timeline is a winter soldier style cyborg due to earlier events in the game based on a joke I made early in the campaign. At this point a lot of their relationship has been offscreen in little logs/short prose I've been writing that's been signed off on by the GM set between sessions but that's set to change during the next session, since during the last one which was a halloween thing set during a timeskip/training arc my character and the other female PC in the party were targets of an attempt by a vampire to make them his concubines and my character out of defiance stated that she had a boyfriend already which at the time was absolutely not true except in her own mind because she nearly killed Bulma for flirting with him earlier while they were analyzing his cybernetics.

It's been fun to set up and I think it's going to be fun going forward because I've talked to the GM and we've settled on them getting hitched at the end of the OG dragonball era and having twin girls, one of which will be more quiet and studious but inherit her mother's Mutant Gene aka the Legendary Super Saiyan power while the other is a scrappy troublemaker who's far more saiyan-like and got shafted in that regard, to make for an interesting dynamic going forward.

And yeah the buckbroken faggots on /tg/ who can't separate themselves from their character because they're lonely losers who need to self-insert into a min-maxed power fantasy to feel good about themselves are never gonna understand this sort of stuff, they're misanthropic sociopaths who shitpost here because they're friendless nogames.

I'm not nearly a good enough writer to do a good story time, and I'm still kind of feeling out what I'm doing, but the last two sessions were pretty good, so I'll give it a shot.

Session before last was something I came up with at the last minute, basically a haunted puzzle house the ghost of witch was using to try and trap and kill some vampires and werewolves, because they came together to.kill her 30 years ago. It was fun, they (eventually) figured out the puzzles, and got out without too much damage. One of the werewolf NPCs actually took a pretty big hit from a magic candle that I realized I can use late to have him corrupted by the witch, which I'm glad to have in my pocket for later.

The next session was a big art show the Toreador elder of the city was throwing (I'm not really using vtm lore so the camarilla isn't a thing, new Orleans is run by a triumvirate consisting of a Ventrue a tremere and a toreador). We spent like 45 minutes on what amounted to a shopping montage (which is fucking gaming on easy mode) where the basically just thought about and described what they and their boyfriends were going to wear to the party. Then, they had a brief meeting with the Triumvirate before the party (to convince them that the brujahs werewolf boyfriend should totally be able to stay in the city, even though werewolves normally aren't allowed, because the witch might still be a problem for both groups). The meeting went alright, the Toreador love novelty so they were fine with it, the Ventrue was pissed, and the Tremere was more interested in the other PC's boyfriend, who they are pretty sure is a fae prince.

Then they hung out at the party. I introduced a few new NPCs, a Nosferatu spy who wants the PC Nosferatu to do some work for her, and a thin blood who is part of my version of the anarchs and who can pass for living. They also found out about some of the schemes going on (the Ventrue is secretly buying up all the bayou land around the werewolves town, which would piss everyone off and maybe start a war if it came out, and the Tremere wants to find a fucked up blood monster that's killing the homeless in the PCs backyard). They also just hung out and heard some rumors (I generated a big rumor table of just random shit, some of it was hints about what was going on, some of it was just flavor), and they also checked out the art (again, generated some random art and artist descriptions). The art stuff was fun, a lot of it was just the PCs getting to learn about their romantic interests and have some silly meet cute style stuff happening. The toreador was, of course, super interested in what they thought of the different artist and I feel like I managed to play a 200 year old immortal art snob pretty well.

They didn't get to all the stuff I had (I wanted to introduce a fucked up tzimisce cenobite fucker that's actually working with the toreador) but I was pretty pleased with how it turned out. I have a billion plot hooks for them to fuck around with (the fae princes court is gonna come hunting for him, the witch is scheming in the background, the tzimisce is murdering/flesh crafting people hannibal style, there is a fucked up Tremere blood monster, the werewolves are gonna be pissed soon, etc etc) but I'm kind of waiting to see what they are interested in before i build anything out too far. This is the first real rpg so I told them after last night "it's up to you want you want to explore, you can back a particular vampire to be your patron or say fuck all of them, or ignore that completely if you want."

I have actually read 3/4 of ACOTAR and my first impression was that I really wouldn't use words like "splintered" and "shattered" in a sex scene unlike the author
Clearly women are built different. Which is funny because I have read a couple of lesbian romance novels where the sex scenes were actually pretty nice and hot
