>Midgar + Amekagure (rain village)
>War of Shinra VS Wutai becomes Shinra trying to conquer the normal world (which is basically ninja villages), and they are basically winning.
>Mako energy cannot produce magic materias for everybody use, and ninjutsu doesn't use chakra(TM). This is to prevent clash of magic systems.
>this explains why there are lots of advanced technology in naruto, especially computers and genetics. Orochimaru/Dr Hojo overlap
>this somehow fills the world of FF7, which, taking away Junon and Midgar, seems that is just made by literal six ridiculous villages from pole to pole, plus a Gold Saucer
>Players start as a gang mixing ninja refugees and slum thugs, fighting for territory. Eventually they can become Shinra soldiers, Turks, Akatsuki, restitute a ninja village or just a group of eco-Terrorists, or become conspiracists that try to stop Sephirot/Madara
>I think I can still add a third world into the mix, I accept sugerences.
>I think I can play a little around the concept of the Ancients (Aerith's people), they are a great piece of lore which I know it can be re-skinned into something interesting.

Your two decades too late, The Returner FFRPG had a worldbook for crossing FF7 with Naruto.
Use the wayback if you want to read trough the pre-2007 autism

Currently searching, thanks!

https://www.ffrpg.net/

i found the ruleset, but sadly there is nothing about the world or lore on that; only pure rules (optimized for IRC and assumes the use of calculators; OMG, two decades)

The biggest issue with the Cetra if your going to port it over is how they interface with the Kami & Demons from the latter. Unless you're also going to pull in elements from ff3

>Unless you're also going to pull in elements from ff3
never played that one, i did 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.

I think I can skin the Cetra after ff9 summoners, but will have to play it to get the lore.

Yeah thats not too bad, there was an old FUZION netbook for that Final Fantasy.
Though personally I'd probably run it with Champions:NM as many of the martial manuvers would work quite well for handling ninja supers, and the hero systems great for mimicking summons and materia with the restrictions you can build them with.

im good for rules, i have some homebrew shit that im sure will work fine. Understanding the world nuances is what i am at now.

>Kami & Demons from the latter

For example, not all ninjas are summoners. Things like summoning the death kami, frogs or similar should be done mostly by the Summoner class. At least, if you want to summon more than one different "kami"

I like the fact that summoners are a race. It sort of balances itself.

Yeah, if you don't get a solid handle on how summoners work, it can kind of blow things out pretty bad.

We used SR2 Critters with FF back in the day for a Summons equivalent, and Conjuring gets really out of scale if you build Charisma with the Edges from the Companion book.

Thats the wrong one, use the wayback for the old Returner site

cant find it: _

I think on watching FMA to picture how a more industrial overworld could look on a dieselpunk age. It is incredible how little the genre is. And half of it is plain bad, and the other is just doing satiric versions of the nazis
