The Blood Crow Strike effect is definitely the strongest part of the feat chain and should be the final feat if so. I'd change the order so that Precision comes beforehand (Style->Precision->Strike) and delay the bleed increase to the last feat (Strike). I'd also add a knowledge skill rank requirement of 1, 5, and 9 to the feat path while removing the BAB and heal skill rank requirement.

Nailgun Precision is just a holdover feat until you get Strike, as the action economy makes it a poor choice when you can just full attack at range, so it works as a feat prereq for the much better Strike. I'd still add Lunge as a prereq to Strike though, as such a strong effect is worth more than what you're paying right now.

I'd rewrite Nailgun Strike so that it is obvious that they are still melee attacks, just at range. Something like
    >Dex 15, Str 15, Lunge, Nailgun Precision, Nailpunch Style, Knowledge Engineering 9 ranks
    >When fighting in Nailpunch Style, you may use unarmed strikes to launch nails at range. During your turn, your reach is increased by 5 ft and an additional 5 ft for every five ranks in Knowledge Engineering you possess.

are there any spellcasting archetypes in 2e that don't require you to level up a specific skill for?
Alternatively, are there any aside from the class ones that require arcana?
    >>
    >>98840953
Most archetypes in general require some form of skill training to enter, I don't think there is an archetype with spells that doesn't ask for the associated skill tradition.
But there is Magaambyan Attendant and Runescarred for non-MC Arcana spellcasting options.

Hedge Mage, it has no skill requirements for the higher spellcasting feats, but it comes with other limitations in the form of only being able to use lower rank spells.

That said I never saw the appeal of out of class spellcasting for Bloodrager, its not like you can use any spells not in your Bloodrager repertoire when raging.

    >This book began as an airing of grievances; an essay expressing my personal concerns with how divinity and the broader structures of religion have been handled in Pathfinder’s setting. In my years of experience as a player, game master, and game designer for Pathfinder, I’ve found that many of Paizo’s decisions regarding religion and divinity hold back the game’s potential as a piece of art and as a structure for a community. Role-playing games have served an important role in shaping my political and religious understanding, and Pathfinder in particular has been a beacon for many discussions on community, solidarity, and liberation. While many marginalized players and writers have found solace in the game and its setting of Golarion, the ascendancy of cynical, stringent, and untouchable authorities who entrap moral understanding with their obedience quashes much of the setting’s revolutionary potential. As I write this, many of the religious paradigms which are presented as universal or virtuous in Golarion are being weaponized by real-life demagogues and religious leaders to target vulnerable communities or abuse members of their own congregations. While I will not go so far as to say that Paizo has a duty to challenge such principles of authoritarianism with its writing, I strongly believe that expanding the scope of Golarion’s religious understanding would be valuable to the Pathfinder community.

    >Deposition of Godhead: The Divine Orthodoxy centers on an imperialistic and manipulative religious hierarchy which draws heavy inspiration from the Roman Catholic Church and the many nations which have used Christianity to justify atrocities. The reflections of religion within this text mainly draw from Christian and Catholic doctrine which game designers have used as a template for creating fantasy religions.

Christ, what's with these people? The most Judeo-Christian religion in the system is fantasy Islam whose goddess is a BIPOC lesbian woman. Sarenrae is far more Islam than Christian, I'm saying that now and holding to it because Paizo is both not that clever and I'm pretty sure I heard they had a hajj equivalent.

No, only Bloodrager spells can be used. Every dedication gives you its own Repertoire, they don't all get combined into one big Repertoire.

If you're a Bloodrager, Sorc Archetype and Oracle Archetype you have 3 different Repertoires, and only the Bloodrager ones gain the Rage trait when you're Raging and give you Drained when cast.

Howdy gamers I'm currently running a pf2e campaign and am taking a lot of creative liberties with what Alseta's Ring in Age of Ashes can do and just summoning random bullshit for my players to fight.
What are some of the most FUN monsters you've ever played or fought as a player that you'd recommend? Nothing too strong, battlefield-warping, or anything that requires to know the system super well, ideally. They're all still relatively new to the system having only played through Plaguestone.
To give an example of what I mean of just being fun, I plan on throwing some Bone Croupiers (https://2e.aonprd.com/Monsters.aspx?ID=1843) at them because their Roll the Bones ability is really silly. They're level 4, but that shouldnt really matter much because I have no issue with adjusting stat blocks downward/upward.

Only by the grace of "this could actually be stopped before it gets really bad" am I not annoyed by this. A decently powerful party of adventurers could shut this shit down before it gets to proper Worldwound status, but it just irritates me that one of the biggest happenings is literally just "Worldwound 2: Asmodean Boogaloo". There are a thousand better ways to introduce new fucked up locations full of infernal punch-me monsters, they don't need to do a near exact fucking retread of Sarkoris.

Honestly, Hell is different enough from the abyss that it being the new threat is fine in my eyes. Like, Hell plays by the rules. If they REALLY wanted to do Sarkoris 2 they should have introduced an Abaddon Worldwound or something with the intention of doing something like breaking open the lock of Rovagug's seal from the outside so that it's a goal EVERYONE else would want to fight against. The setting makes a big hoo-rah about how Daemons are AKTUALLY the biggest and baddest of them all, to the point where even the Devil and Demons will team up to fight against them, but we never actually get to see that play out in real time. Hell, get the Qlippoths involved too just for the heck of it.

I'm currently working on a PF1e plugin that can be inserted into GPT for anyone that wants to have an AI GM but realized that they didn't want to wait 15 minutes every time their characters wanted to do something slightly interesting. The tl;dr for the tool will be that it will serve as a mechanical shorthand for the AI to use for things like generating maps it can understand, represent the movement of characters on said map, and simulate the math of combat quickly and with much more fair RNG than just asking an LLM to come up with a random number on its own.

The ultimate goal will be that prospective players should be able to just upload a pdf of whatever campaign they want to play, and then they can interact with the AI like a normal GM (more or less), and then the AI can handle things like creature tactics and character relationships, but then rely on the tool to do all of the mechanical heavy lifting behind the scenes.

What do you guys think? Does this concept have legs? Theoretically this same concept could be applied to other systems as well.
    >>
    >>98856093
Didn't you hear? He's not dead. Achakek sucker punched him because he was afraid of Gorum's growing power. Every time Achakek facilitates the assassination of a powerful figure it inevitably leads to war, ultimately growing Gorum's influence over the world and giving Gorum a literal army of souls in the afterlife. He conspired with Calistria to lure Gorum out into the open, and then relied on her networks of spy-priestesses to spread all levels of lies and propaganda about the event. Hence why the official story makes Gorum look like a retard who has the same views on war as the average Seattleite. Miraculously, Gorum survived the assassination and retreated in secret to the elemental plane of metal where he waits to be restored by the smiths of the plane who were once his priest. The corrupting wound Gorum received from Achakek has cut him off form divine healing and the ability to anoint his clergy. This leaves it up to the raw skill of the greatest collection of smiths in the Ringing City to find a way to restore his body of iron. There are rumors on Golarion of a group of smiths on the plane of metal trying to create a suit of impenetrable armor. Normally this wouldn't be newsworthy, except this time these smiths are alleged to be using shards of Gorum's armor in their work. The shards are rare enough on Golarion, and it will seem odd to anyone that multiple shards would exist on another plane. This could draw the attention of anyone from adventurers looking for the ultimate suit of armor to the Red Mantis Assassins themselves. But if Gorum's loyalists are able to reforge him before the assassins kill them, Our Lord in Iron could potentially be restored to his full glory.

I'm paralyzed from the waist down. I wanted to play a normal character who could walk like a normal person
But when I was in session 0 for this game, I was shooting the shit with the other players and the topic got brought up where I told them yeah Im wheelchair-bound yadda yadda
and the GM butts in with "Well it's a good thing 2e has options for wheelchairs so you can use them"
I was so taken aback I just said "I dont plan to use them because my character isn't in a wheelchair"
GM went quiet for a bit and I ended up being ghosted on the game the next day. Only found out because I added one of the other players because they seemed cool and asked them what happened
Other players left because of it and the game presumably fell apart

    >the same reason why we need wheelchairs
I will at least defend the Wheelchair argument in the sense that with Regenerate and its equivalents in other games being ridiculously high-tier spells to cast, it isn't likely the average peasant would know someone that would just heal that affliction. Combined with circumstances like being born without arms or legs, or outright losing the entire limb, it would make sense stuff like wheelchairs and prosthetics would still be a codependent technology in a world of healing magic. Combat Wheelchairs is a step too far in the land of goofiness, but I can't say they are an unrealistic expectation in such a world (though I think stuff like the Legchair fits more than a pimped out Lv. 10+ magical item on a Lv. 0 peasant).

Top scars, brittle bones, and other transgender medical fetishisms really have no place in such, though. There's literally *no reason* to mutilate yourself, Serum of Sex Shift isn't even an uncommon item! Taking crack cocaine makes more sense if you just want to hurt yourself.

precisely; these people treat disabilities as a aesthetic, something to to brag about and get special folk points from, without any actual consequences ingame. hell, if I remember right the rules straight up state that the wheelchairs cannot be damaged in any way nor its users be deprived of them just because
    >>
With this talk of disabilities, I am kind of curious about autistic characters and how they're depicted.
    >>
    >>98865703
They tend to be the characters I take both WIS and CHA as a dumpstat for. I like to depict them both emotionally fragile and socially inept, but valuable through either they incredible intellect or hyperfixations that a dungeon party would like. Think like Laios from Dungeon Meshi (which granted he's absolutely maxing out his Nature or Monster Lore skills), Y'shtola from Final Fantasy XIV, or L from Death Note.
They don't all need to be super geniuses, but it is a fantasy at the end of the day. This ain't special ed, you don't have to deal with the low-functioning people when you also need people to kill (albeit they all would make GREAT barbarians).

that works for me, but I'd limit its possible targets it by trait; undead and fiend, or maybe limit it to unholy
    >>
    >>98866508
I'd say do something like >>9886686 and make a level 1 feat similar to Channel Smite, but using Lay on Hands.

Two Actions-> Cast Lay on Hands then Strike. If you hit, enemy counts as failing the save, if you crit they crit fail the save. The spell loses the Manipulate trait when cast this way, and it can affect creatures other than Undead.

You'd need to decide whether you go PF1e and it can only target Unholy creatures, or if you lean in more 5e and have it do more damage vs certain types. You could also do both: the initial feat can only target Unholy, and a later feat (level 6 or 8) cam target anything but gets extra oomph versus Fiends, Undead and Dragons (or whatever you feel is appropriate).

To some degree, I kind of feel like this was pretty inevitable. Even if D&D and its associates was still crunchy and math-heavy, the rise of more narrative systems and the ease of access/creativity would have just brought over the likes of theater kids that shareholders and designers feel like they MUST cater to anyway. Combined with how much of a pushover nerds like Mearls and Bulhman and the like already were in retrospect (Mearls is really funny with how candid he's been about how pretty much NOTHING in 5e actually worked as intended, feels like one of those Twitter ragebait accounts that shits on old games to defend new ones except it is the creator of old game and there isn't actually a new game to defend; it is just old game); there aren't a lot of possibilities I could see where they would see something like Combat Wheelchairs and go "no".

Biggest issue is a lack of a frontline tank (one of those moments that make me wish Life Oracle kept the d12 Hit Die a level), but frankly you all are fine. The thief will need a Thieves' Toolkit eventually and your lack of backpacks will be a constraint but nothing should be stopping you that just playing like a good party should prevent. Ultimately, your lives are in the hand of your GM, not really much else you can do than just find a way to get some spare potions just in case the Oracle eats dirt.

This is a fascinating Pathfinder 1e homebrew class (plus an accompanying archetype from someone else). It is a magic-user whose magic is plundered from all of the bits and pieces of non-spellcasting magic found across the game.

Sustain spells end if you don't use the Sustain action before the end of your turn, and extend the duration to the end of your next turn. Your turn has moved in the initiative, but the rule still applies. If your buddies get you conscious you can keep Sustaining, otherwise spell will be lost.

In Pathfinder 1e, are there any items which work well with the Pathfinder Savant's Item Master capstone?

    >Item Master (Su)
    >At 10th level, an arcane savant can spend an hour focusing his energies on a single non-charged magic item that requires an action to activate. At the end of this hour, that item becomes attuned to the arcane savant, and from that point on, that specific item can use the arcane savant’s caster level to resolve its effects rather than the item’s caster level. An arcane savant can change which item is attuned to him by repeating the attunement ritual, but he loses attunement to the previous item. An arcane savant can have only one item attuned to him at a time.

I've seen people recommend the Ring of Telekinesis, but that caps at 15. The Skin of Proteus looks promising, but I can't find anything else. I thought about staves (staff of power, staff of the magi, staff of eldritch sovereignty), but I believe those already use your own caster elvel.
    >>
    >>98875053
Eh, hard to say actually. It comes online at pretty late level, so things like Hat of Disquise or Cloak of Hedge Wizard are already quite outdated even with the boosted caster level. Whereas later items naturally have high inbuilt item caster level so the benefit would be very slight or even negative. And on top of that quite large number of objects do not really tell how the increased caster level would influence the effect.
    >>
    >>98875194
You make a good point about the late level. Thanks!
    >>
    >>98875053
It should be obvious considering the name of prestige class is Pathfinder Savant, but Wayfinder of Passage with Clear Spindle inserted. Wayfinder of Passage gives multiple useful spells that are affected by caster level one way or another, but are kinda bothersome to keep remembered in spells slots, and Clear Spindle gives Protection of Evil which will remain useful due protection against mind controls and the aeon stone effect comes from wayfinder rather than the stone itself so it should work with the ability.

Trying to learn pf1e. Noob question.

My level 1 Sorcerer only has 7 HP (6 from hit die, one from having 12 CON). Is that right, or did I miss something. I'm used to 2e, where you get HP from your class and race.
    >>
    >>98879265
PF1e also has what's known as the Favored Class bonus, it's a little extra sum'n sum'n you get for sticking with your "main class", and can either take the form of an extra skill rank or HP per level you've invested, chosen each level you gain in the class (aka you can mix and match how many bonuses you've invested in HP, skill ranks, or if you're feeling real spicy the special "race/class-only" bonuses that are all the way down at the bottom of the page on PFSRD).
    >>
    >>98879265
You could have 8 if you chose +1 HP as your favored class bonus, and if you pick up a feat like Toughness at level 1 (from being human, for example) that'll also increase it.

Otherwise yeah its just Class HD+ Con Bonus and that's it. You'd think it means you're more fragile but 1e monsters do less damage too so it about evens out in the end.

    >>98882253
No, Elemental Blasts are not in any weapon group, so they're not elegible for Fighter class features that call for one.

If you go Fighter/Kine Dual Class you're much better off picking an actual weapon to use and leaving your Blast as a Backup option, focusing more on utility Impulses.

It's flavor but it isn't a complete ribbon. It's more of an "ask your GM what you can mess about with" tool that's needs to be here to be an actual X-mancer of your element, but it isn't going to replace an actual spell like Knock or Create Water by virtue of being a free problem solver.
    >>
    >>98887569
It's basically the Kineticist's Prestidigitation - it's not meant to be massive, just a few little tricks. Now, if you're a Metal Kineticist and have Extended Kinesis, that's about 6 million gold (or platinum, or silver, or whatever) a round, thanks to the Proliferate option it adds.
    >>
    >>98886676
Order of the Lion is great if you're CHA maxxing. You get a spammable fear removal at lv 2 and at lv 8 you can add your CHA modifier as a competence bonus to everyone's Att/Dmg once per combat (yourself included as you count as your own ally). The Challenge bonus also synergizes with your Far Challenge as the moment you do get hit in melee, you instantly lose the AC penalty and instead get a scaling AC bonus to turn the tide on your challenged foe.

Then take the human FCB every lv and choose the Stalwart Standard from the alternate banners. This grants everyone (you included) a scaling morale bonus to CMD, and attack against any enemy who threatens an ally. Which is very easy to achieve.

So at lv 8 with 18 CHA (headband included) you'd constantly give out and benefit from a +3 morale bonus to Att vs any foe who threatens an ally, and can unleash a fat +4/+4 competence bonus to Att/Dmg to everyone for one round every combat. No resources spent.

Challenge Rating 20 (would be 19 but he was based with PC-tier wealth).

He has a lot of abilities to reroll saves, add to his saves, negate attacks against him, while also being nearly guaranteed to win initiative, so he can time-stop and buff himself and retreat, and still go first when the PCs encounter him. Haven't messed with mythic stuff, dunno if it would help here. Just any advice to make this guy a better fight. The group he'd be up against would be (presumably) at level 15:

I don't necessarily want to use that spell and I'm open to changing it out.
But, in my past experience with two campaigns that get to high levels, the only real way to make a BBEG fight viable is to kill or disable half the party in the first round. Which, by the way, isn't fun at all, but it's the only way to cope with the insane offensive output of a high level Pathfinder party. I had a group in my last game who had one player kill a CR 27 monster in one round. With damage. It wasn't a save or die thing. There are plenty of those thoughbeit less effective cause of spell resistance and massive saving throw bonuses.

Calm only blocks hostile actions. It's kind of like Sanctuary, except instead of targeting a buddy you don't want attacked, you target enemies you don't want attacking. They can still defend themselves, buff, heal, run away, etc. If some but not all of the bad guys critically fail, the ones who crit-failed might do any of those things while the ones who didn't try to rush down the caster (Calm needs to be sustained). If everyone crit-fails, or if it's a solo enemy, they're pretty fucked, although they still have the option of running away/trying not to die for 10 rounds, which is the maximum duration.
