But I guess we'll see if it happens.
    WEC already cancelled theirs:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_FIA_World_Endurance_Championship#Calendar
    >>
    >>158318654
not doubting you, just confused why FIA would cancel but FIM would not cancel. bikes easier to ship than cars I guess?
    >>
    >>158318663
Maybe. It actually got rescheduled from April:
    https://www.motogp.com/en/news/2026/03/15/motogp-confirms-new-date-for-the-qatar-grand-prix/1005668

Honey Man Jr. is good on superspeedways.

Meanwhile Lavar Scott sucks and should be ashamed, imagine not having the speed or points to make the field as a full time driver, 30 races into the season. They'll just put him in the 4 though.

Plus, all the small tracks and club events and car meets/shows. It's way too many to list. The only things they really don't get are WEC, WRC and land speed.
I would say the only down side is that you have to live in Florida, with the heat and humidity and the bugs and the hurricanes and snakes and alligators and crazy druggies, but honestly, it would probably easy mode for you guys. Plus there are a fuckload of Brazilians already in Florida, so it wouldn't be too big of a transition. For better or worse.

Having these retards do a full season will make them less of a menace to the upper series when they inevitably but their way into them. They might even learn how to drive and at least they will get a taste of how shitters can ruin your race. I mean, at least ARCA shitters have the decency to run below the white line if they know they are shit, so maybe they can learn that.

Varies by event ofc but usually you have tickets for:
Service park entry, spectator areas, and maybe the superspecial if its on a rallycross track or sg
But you can just camp in the forest next to the road for free and watch the cars go by next to the road at non red taped areas and follow them on rallytv when they are at different stages.
if the stages will be run in hily areas, its better to choose those over forest bc you can see more ofc

    >>158394945
Yeah, he is definitely an F1fag baby, but he is a pretty good driver until he isn't, if that makes sense. I think his biggest problem is dealing with the car as it changes over the stint. He's really fast in qualifying and at the beginning of a stint, but as the tires wear and the fuel burns off, he can't manage it and he ends up crashing.
I was absolutely stunned that he brought the car home at all, let alone in second at Markham. I was so hopefully but I just KNEW he was going to crash on those old tires. I think he'll eventually cheese his way to a win by some random crap one day. Like the five lead cars getting taken out in a Juan on the last lap or something, lol.

Thanks. The weird thing is that pretty much all the property here is owned by someone unless it's a public park and I think at least some of it will be in Cherokee National Forest. That's where a lot of Rally America stages are. As far as hills and trees, we have a lot of both in Appalachia, so that's going to be challenging, but nothing I haven't grown up with. I absolutely can't stress how weird it is that this is coming to East Tennessee and Kentucky. What's also weird is that everyone at work is telling me about it because they know me as the "racing guy," so it's definitely getting a lot of normie visibility. They also all talk about how much respect they have for the driving talent, so that's pretty neat.

I've never been to WoO, but winged sprints are crazy cool in person. The only problem is that the track is super small and the number of wheel entanglements cause a lot of cautions. The wrecks can be pretty outstanding, but it's pretty annoying. On the flip side, once everyone settles in, you can get some of the most intense battle in racing where everyone is absolutely losing their minds and can't help but yell with excitement. There really are few things that compare with a close dirt track race. It really makes all the yellow flag bullshit worth it when it happens.

Right, so now michelin are saying they have to bring an extra compound to Sepang and are blaming the circuit for "not resurfacing the track" after only about a month ago their tires fell apart in Japan because they "they did resurfarce" the track and are already making excuses and blaming others for this week as they are expecting their tires to fall apart again.

Its unreal how incompetent and farcical of a company michelin are, the teams could probably go looking down a Malaysian back market alley and find a 2nd hand tire dealer who could supply them with better rubber for this weekend.

That is actually pretty funny. You wouldn't think car and bike tires are that different, yet here we are. Michelin and Yokohama are about the only two catr tire manufacturers in motorsports that you don't really hear about having problems. Goodyear's NASCAR tires and IndyCars Firestone tires can absolutely shit the bed with a 10°c cange in track temperature. Pirelli has really shit up F1 and WEC in recent years
    >>
    >>158410262
On Pirelli, I also remember at least two Spa 24 Hours where cars were having unexplicable punctures left and right
    >>
    >>158410262
I don't drive cars so have no experience with michelins road car tires, maybe their good, I don't know, but ive seen enough in the racing world to see what a micky mouse shambles of a company they are and how they buy off the media to memory hole race fans into forgetting all the controversies and put the blame on another reason like the track being newly resurfaced or not resurfaced at all.

You don't hear about Michelin having problems when Bridgestone isn't making them try, although actually the sports car stuff has gotten so half assed now that they've gone from a de facto monopoly to a real one I wouldn't even say that's quite true. There was a thing somewhat recently in IMSA where they were throwing tire pressure black flags everywhere for example and especially for WEC what little strategy differentiation is left in a BoPshit series where everybody has to have the same refueling times is mostly eliminated by not letting teams have enough tires to actually change them.

I don't remember Firestone ever having any pattern of serious tire problems in IndyCar just the eco tires were a meme when it came to forced two compound tire strategy (which is already a meme)
    >>
    >>158411472
    >I don't remember Firestone ever having any pattern of serious tire problems in IndyCar
    >Nashville no passville
Off the top, Nashville this year to name one
Faggotstones died off in 15 laps and they couldn't pass after that. At least NASCAR at a cold Bristol race had Badqueer release extra tires.
Faggotstone did make an allocation adjustment at Thermal Club in 2025 because they fucked it, but to be fair, the heat completely fucked the broadcast center that year.
    >>
    >>158411735
Firestone can't write the whole rulebook for those morons, every Shindy oval race for 15 years has been "boy I hope we happen to get the exact air and track temperature that we designed our aero package for or else either someone will die or nothing will happen" because they always want to have just barely low enough downforce to not be full throttle 3 wide 5 deep instead of actually having off throttle time.

Look at how different the two parts of that stupid red flagged Texas race were.
    >>
shant tolerate this Bridgestone/Firestone slander, they have been really good for IndyCar for a lot of years. you don't see the kind of ridiculous problems with tires you see in F1 or WEC for instance. don't take it for granted. usually when they miss on a compound it's because IndyCar meddles and asks them to change the formula to try to change the racing on a given track and it doesn't always change it for the better

Something I forgot: F1 wants to have shit tires by design, so whoever is their supplier is irrelevant. You could make the argument that you are a bad tire maker if you accept a contract where you are required to develop a shit tire that wil destroy itself in half an hour.

    >>
    >>158412042
    >F1 wants to have shit tires by design
Probably why bridgestone left both f1 and motogp as they are not willing to make shit tires on purpose whereas michelin and pirelli sold out just to have their logo in the top racing series which has now resulted in the average car/bike driver seeing their tires as inferior to bridgestone.
    >>
    >>158412042
    >Something I forgot: F1 wants to have shit tires by design
This is what i wish more people knew. All the tire makers could make a tire that lasts the entire race if they were allowed to. Also, while they've been pretty dodgy the last season ill still give hankook a little leeway with how hard it has to be to make a tire that works in WRC with all the bullshit they drive on.

    >>158412212
Its still worth it. If Pirelli left F1 Bridgestone would happily look to go back if the price was right.
    >>
    >>158412269
    >Bridgestone would happily look to go back if the price was right.

I don't think they would, Its just not part of the Japanese social and corporate ideology, The Japs pride themselves on build quality (Is the way it should be) which europe/america doesn't really give a shit about, no amount of money will make them give up that way of thinking.

Honda would rather be slow and reliable than fast but in danger of blowing up at any time
    >>
    >>158412042
F1 doesn't have refueling anymore so their only option to try to create some kind of pit strategy is to fuck with the tires
    >>
    >>158412432
Once again dont look up how they're doing, the engine was so bad that the drivers literally had to retire in races due to the engine shaking itself apart if not actually hurting the drivers with the vibrations.

btw not trying to shit on Honda. Ive never had one personally but a couple family members do and love the cars. Build quality for actual cars on the road doesn't mean the race department will always match that. But anyway, the less we talk about modern F1 here the better.
    >>
    >>158412509
    >hurting the drivers with the vibrations.
that is not a primary concern for F1 teams.
they should just do autonomous cars and take the driver out of the equation. then the cars could pull maximum G's through the corners and vibrations would only be an issue if they damage the car.

you are mixing up your timeline, f1 (still under bernie) realized that they need to fuck with the tyres after the 2nd pirelli season when pirelli being pirelli fucked up the compounds on one of the races and it produced more action with everyone having to go for 3 stop strategies.

    >>158412269
    >All the tire makers could make a tire that lasts the entire race if they were allowed to
    LOLMAO
in a single supplier contract they will never. A single supplier situation incentivizes the supplier to make as cheap tyres as they can get away with and not the best tyre possible, because they don't have any competition and they can point fingers at teams or outside factors to some extent. And also bc of muh cost saving rules in basically every championship, testing is very minimal compared to the early 2000s, so the companies can and will fuck up the tyres way more frequently than 20 years ago, because it's a classic area where no computer simulation currently can replace raw physical testing
    > This is what i wish more people knew

Kek I think it might actually be a good sign that we don’t celebrate Halloween the same way around here (at least not the majority of people). I already have a poor enough diet myself I don’t need another excuse to devour candy.

That 11 car took the green flag and was gone. Also was sad to hear that the series might not have any Audi left next year cause the team getting a Ferrari deal. The eternal R8's are almost gone...
    >>
    >>158442394
It was a complete domination for Heinrich-Wei, they finished with a gap 12 seconds, if I heard correctly. As for the R8 it was bound to happen sooner or later, I don't think Audi will ever replace it. Idk how many will be left next year maybe a handful of them in the IGTC or GTWC Australia.
