I adore this park.
Have you guys ever seen this kind of stickers in your streets anons? I've seen these kind of stickers quite a lot these days in seoul.
106/106
what camera do you use?
>>4534395k3k
>>4534809A Canon obviously
someone took hours uploading 106 high res good quality photos and gets 3 replies. dead board
>>4534302Were you holding the frame or was it just there?
>>4534848Sir, very few people here actually care about photography. It's sad, but this is a gear board first and foremost.Reminds me of /out/ in a way.
>>4534809>what camera do you use?Good evening. OP here.Leica Q2. Mostly jpeg with Standard film simulation. Some are Vivid film simulation such as the red ballet pics>>4534347
>>4534829lel. It's called Koo-Koo. Very famous electronic rice cooker brand in korea. Idk what the machine in the pic is though.>>4534848Thank you. It still means a lot to me even if only few replies received.>>4534864I was waiting a right timing after set my composition, standing at there. >>4534866For real. even during Covid wasn't this doomed.
>>4534848Despite being an image board, 4chan as software is broken for image sharingI almost never post photos anymore because the process of resizing, fixing sharpening (4chan will recompress the file and make it blurrier and huge downscales look like ultra blurry shit regardless), ensuring the file is under 4mb, and solving the captcha is fucking hellI can literally just move a full res 45mp jpeg to my phone, text it to someone over imessage, and it looks great. They can zoom in, crop if they want, and it still looks sharp. Fucking text messages are ahead of 4chan. So this is how I share most of my photos now.
>>4534879>4chan will recompress the file and make it blurrier and huge downscales look like ultra blurry shit regardlessIt doesn't, the size difference is due to EXIF being removed. If you open files on a phone it does show you a shitty version unless you click the 3 dots and "view original file" doe. With the dpreview pics people post it's hilariously obvious, the ones with text become unreadable from the blur. Hiro antics.
>>4534360Idk why but it looks gurskyesque to me>>4534355Bliss.jpg>>4534339Movie poster coreI feel like there's too many snapshots in the dump taking attention away from the photographs though. >>4534312I like the brutal tyranny of the line in this photograph
>>4534879>Fucking text messages are ahead of 4chan4chin servers are run off old Dell Optiplexes that got decomissioned before the GFC. Be lucky they don't force 4:2:0 subsampling and discord-tier JPEG60 compression.
>>4534873>Idk what the machine in the pic is though.Looks like the base of a blender>>4534873>For real. even during Covid wasn't this doomed. It never recovered after the hack, same thing happened to cripplechan except it was deader to begin with, stayed down for longer and returned as a monkey pawed version of its former self so it was even worse than here. The people who came to 4chan out of habit (addiction) broke it because of the hack. Many went to the sharty and never looked back, others left imageboards altogether. Others even went to nu-cripplechan for a short while. Even /p/ got bumped there. But that place is so dead there's still a post Tom made in 2021 in the front page, k3k.

i liked seoul better than any japanese city desu senpai
Sometimes I have to think of that Tiffen 1/4 anon who posted some very comfy korea photos some years ago
>>4535113xhe's wearing a skin masklegs like sticks, I don't see the appeal
>>4534334Man, what a wasted opportunity
>>4534316Learn to crop, man
You need to up your shutter speed, OP.Don't shoot in A in the evening/night. Either shoot in Auto-ISO, S priority or go full M.Auto-ISO is best if you want to prioritize the aperture.
>>4535314noauto ISO is really bad. random dynamic range in every photo. the worst kind of lacking consistency.literally just pay attention and adjust things as needed. distance shots dont need to be f11 all the time especially not with <35mm lenses
>>4534398>>4534399These, for example, are completely worthless because the shutter speed was too low.>>4534395This would have been better with higher shutter speed as well, but here it would have been better to turn exposure compensation down one or two stops.
>>4535316Woops, lost half my post:>>4535327>f11You clearly don't know what you're talking about. He will be shooting wide open in any case, the point is to use higher ISO instead of lower shutter speed, so that he doesn't ruin all his shots with motion blur.
>>4535116Same. Japan is mad overrated.
>>4535314dumb shit advice honestly senpai
>>4535316>oh no this photo has 11.32 stops of DR but this other one has 10.78 stops! >Everyone will surely notice!Do you really type this shit out and expect us to take you seriously?
>>4535415>yeah just let me randomly add 1.5-2x more grain to random photos>just in case i'm dumb and accidentally try to shoot handheld at 5s
>>4535414Retard
>>4535420ISO doesn't really work that way, the noise comes from lower actual exposure (SS or SA)
>>4535592>schizophrenic thinks he's smartthe technicality doesnt matterif the camera jacks the ISO because you were shooting everything at 1/500th instead of correctly adjusting exposure for each scene it will look badthen again you don't DO photography, you just let your "logic" take you on the theoretical journey of using an idealized camera defined by the handful of gearfag blogs you've read
>>4535595Auto ISO is just auto ISO, it's inferred it's manual shooting. Most modern sensors are nearly ISO-invariant save for Canon's. With Canons higher ISO can result in less grain believe it or not (provided you're underexposing).
>>4535595>1/500Retard.If you are shooting at night, you switch to aperture priority (wide open, or stopped down one or two clicks for sharpness) and auto-ISO, with a lower shutter speed threshold (and an upper ISO threshold, if the camera doesn't handle high values too well). Then, when the camera detects that there isn't enough light, it will bump the ISO AFTER lowering the shutter speed to the threshold you set. If it still needs more light after reaching the ISO threshold, it will lower the shutter speed beyond the lower threshold. You only need to control aperture and exposure compensation (for bright lamps or whatever, or to keep shadows darkened). There is literally no reason to ever shoot handheld at night with any other setup.
>>4535673>There is literally no reason to ever shoot handheld at night with any other setup.I have skillYou have sony>>4535613>uhm, well, if you're using the newest $1500 nikon....ISO invariance is only real for underexposing and never pushing past the ISO of the next gain stage so that's an argument for shooting at one base ISO and nothing elseNot randomly adding grain and clipping highlights because the meter was dumb and you don't know how to shoot manual for a consistent look
Imagine being so autistic you willingly limit your cameras capability by shooting at base ISO all the time, resulting in low shutter speeds and blurry photos at any conditions other than a sunny afternoon. And all of that for absolutely no measurable gain. What a fucking retard >>4535686>>4535420He doesn't know what exposure compensation dial does in aperture priority mode. Point at him and laugh.>>4535595
>>4535686>I have skillYou don't even know how your camera works
>>4535802Sorry I haven't used a SNOY or any modern camera in a long time. I'm well aware of ISOASS and exposure compensation.I'm also aware that letting the camera randomly jack the ISO is retarded. It's retarded on DSLRs with old non-invariant sensors (and less reliable metering), and it's retarded on invariant sensors because you can shoot with the same ISO without giving up highlight info (using a higher ISO is not the same as using a lower one and fixing it in post. the camera clips highlights.)
>>4535835You have literally no idea what you are talking about. What you think of as ISO noise is 9 times out of 10 just noise caused by underexposure (simply too few photons hitting the sensor to make a clear image).
>>4535867What you think of as a noise slider (ISO) actually clips highlights if the camera sets it too high even if "the heccin noise!" is the same when exposure is normalized. If you have an invariant sensor leave it low. What you think of as a helpful auto mode actually results in inconsistency. All because you're too lazy to watch your shutter speed if you use another auto mode (that is also inconsistent)>fix your inconsistency with inconsistency!Or just use manual settings
>>4535871You are beyond retarded. It's not like you cannot adjust exposure just because you're using auto-ISO. And protecting highlights in lamp flares while doing night photography is pretty retarded to begin with.>muh consistency You're going to get consistently blurry and badly exposed shots hamming it the way you do.
>>4535871Mate, who the fuck cares if you clip the highlights on a literal light source? You know things are allowed to be white, right?
>>4535892>use auto ISO in aperture priority to avoid adjusting exposure>nvm you need to adjust exposureLmao>You're going to get consistently blurry and badly exposed shots hamming it the way you do.Manual only was the default in photography for over 100 years.>>4535900You know digital isn't film right? A lit balcony turns all sorts of weird colors with jagged edges when the highlights blow. Digital genuinely looks like shit which is why things like this are a concern.
The chad adjusting exposure as you need toThe virgin giving an auto-exposure algorithm suggestions and hoping it doesn't fuck upThe 30y/o permavirgin thinking not using auto everything at all times will result in blurry shots because no one ever has been able to see their shutter speed through the viewfinder
>>4535900>i lost so uhhh who cares>>4535892he's 100% right. you shouldn't let a digital camera randomly change its DR limits in high contrast night photography. oops everything under the food truck is washed out! have you even ever shot at night? the -3/4 stop exposure compensation range every camera has often isn't enough for scenes that vary between bright as day and dark as night and you might as well use the spot meter in manual or pseudo-manual (priority+AEL). additionally modern cameras genuinely should not be used to shoot at high ISOs. high ISO applies digital gain before writing the raw file, which loses highlight info. pushing an underexposed raw file from the second gain stage (invariant sensors) has the same noise but more highlight lattitude.
>>4535907>additionally modern cameras genuinely should not be used to shoot at high ISOs. high ISO applies digital gain before writing the raw file, which loses highlight info. pushing an underexposed raw file from the second gain stage (invariant sensors) has the same noise but more highlight lattitude. This is wrong, they're near invariant but not truly invariant. You should bump ISO if you're far from clipping highlights.
>>4535907Nope, I'm a whole different person that thinks this argument is fucking dumb.>Oh no! I lost 0.4 stops of DR by letting auto ISO go to 2000 instead of flicking it to 1600 and then bumping exposure in post!>MY PHOTO IS RUINED WAHHNigga please show me One (1) photo (You) took where losing a half stop of DR would have just plain fucked it. You won't, because you can't, because you're in a dick measuring competition with a test chart.
>>4535905Back in the day people interested in photography became photographers. The message of mirrorless is "you don't need to learn shit, we got your back" so they learn helplessness instead of the exposure triangle. When the crutch inevitably fails them, they ask for a new crutch. They are kept in the plantation.
>>4535907You protect the lamp highlights in a poorly lit scene making everything worse in the name of zebras. Read The Negative by Ansel Adams.
>>4535911That doesn't even affect DR at all.But you're arguing with an autist who thinks he "skilled" because he follows "rules", without the capacity to even stop for a second and try to figure out what those rules actually mean or why they exist. It's like arguing colors with Ken Rockwell. There is no cure for autism, sadly.
ITT unskilled auto mode high ISO snapshitters whose fool frame camera snaps barely look any better than mfturds>BUT I USED THE MODERN FEATURES OF MY SNOY!
>>4535971Meanwhile all your shots are blurry and has bad exposure, and you missed all the crucial moments because you were just randomly spinning three dials at night.
