alright now you have no excuse not to be using photoshop and(or) lightroom
    >>
    >>4533663
    >photoshop and(or) lightroom
But those are neither. It's just some vibe coded slop with UI that tries to mimic Adobe software a little too much.
I don't mind fucking with Adobe and stealing their lunch but your comment is technically not correct.
    >>
    >>4533665
It's not just vibecoded. It's Adobe's products, decompiled, and put back together so you don't have to squirm over your $15 each month. Did you even try it before replying?
    >>
    >>4533670
"Clean room reimplementation" means that one team decompiled some software, analyzed it and wrote a specification based on their findings. Then another team took that specification and wrote their code to match it without ever seeing the decompiled code. Not sure how that works in the age of AI though. Could be that one agent decompiled it and wrote an inhumanely detailed documentation for another agent to use as a prompt. So basically It's not the same as decompiling and putting it back together because that would be illegal.
No I have not tried them and I'm not gonna. I'm fine with Darktable and RawTherapee. Those AI slop projects usually fall apart the moment they try to patch some bugs. Nobody understands that spaghetti code so maintaining it is extremely difficult.
Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm not. We'll see.

    ITT adobe shills seething

Be glad you poorfags finally have an alternative to capture one that doesn't charge you monthly and sell your data

    Enjoy your CCP spyware.

    >please bro keep giving adobe money bro i promise this is ccp spyware
But you know for a fact adobe is five eyes spyware
    >>
    >>4533798
Yep. It's amazing these so-called redpilled types are apparently all fine with 100% inarguable ZOG control, but CCP boogeymen terrify them.
    >>
    >>4533798
    >But you know for a fact adobe is five eyes spyware
Wrong, it phones home but is easy to block and unlike China there's nothing forcing Adobe to give info to the gov. Good enough for monkrus good enough for me.

    >85% of ADBE is owned by institutional investors including Black Rock, Vanguard and State Street

    Absolutely retarded.
    >>
    >>4533808
    >there's nothing forcing Adobe to give info to the gov
Yes, there is. It's called the government and local laws. Modern USA is a surveillance hellscape rivaling China. Land of the free my ass.

Why bother spying with Adobe when they already have Microsoft?
    >>
    >>4533817
It's not just spying but actual direct access as well. The more backdoors they have the better.

The more data the better. You'd be amazed how much information is collected from every single corporate made piece of software you use and every single website you visit. Even things like your mouse movements and keystroke dynamics are collected and fed to LLMs to create a detailed profile on you. Until recently this was impossible but now with modern LLMs and all those huge data centers being built all over US there is finally nothing stopping the big brother from processing every last bit of information that can be collected on you. You don't need to be interesting or "on a list" anymore. They can profile and track the whole population now. Welcome to the future. It's like your ghost in the shell animus but without cool neons and cyber limbs. It's all just dirty, gray, boring, corporate sponsored government surveillance. The most mundane and unexciting type of dystopia.

The difference is there's evidence that the chinks inject malware whenever they can and this was programmed using chink AI, you're just throwing an accusation against adobe because you presumably wanted to work at adobe but they hired a jeet for 50 rupees an hour instead
    >>
    >>4533939
    >this was programmed using chink AI,
'In announcing those new apps on Reddit earlier this week, software developer Brandon Thomas said he used Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5.5 to create “clean-room replacements” for Adobe’s closed source software in Rust (with WebAssembly versions available for use in a browser).' t. Ars Technica article. Anthropic is from the States. Go back to /pol/

Oh so it isn't the CCP but the company that one of the key people quit because it was evil, got it.
I think I would rather risk the CCP, at least it won't claim my house is a military target like Claude does with civilians.
    >>
    >>4533676
    >Those AI slop projects usually fall apart the moment they try to patch some bugs. Nobody understands that spaghetti code so maintaining it is extremely difficult.
This is a hallmark of projects that either:
    A. Try to build the entire thing via a giant one shot prompt
    B. Use vague or open-ended prompts that leave gaps in important areas that the model subsequently tries to fill in itself
    C. Don't instruct the model to adequately document its own activities and create its own reference guides
    D. Don't instruct the model to implement a thorough bugtesting regime of its own creations (or if they do, they forget the "thorough" bit of the statement)
    E. All of the above
    >>
    >>4533939
    >chink AI
    >Claude
Wow you are retarded lol. You must be in perpetual fear given like 90% of the shit sold in your country is made in China haha.

    >Unable to open Nikon HE raws.
It is, in fact, not Adobe's product.
The biggest draw Adobe has is "it just werks" this fails at that, therefore it's a useless replacement.

Had a fiddle yesterday with their lightroom, indesign and photoshop variants. Was pretty decent desu and as a hobbyist, I would much rather use a free alternative than throw money at Adobe for something I use once or twice a month, if that.
Previously been using pixlr as an alternative and much prefer these newer options over that.
