todd hido enjoyers, share your pics

P.S. Please close your blinds at night. I already feel weird enough photographing your home in the middle of the night.

I want to take photos like this but most houses here are suburban cookie cutter homes. The ones that aren’t are rural and lower income. Feels pretty risky to do, either getting a gun pointed at me or cops called on me.
    >>

If you're in the states you can photograph houses from public property almost as much as you want and no one can legally do anything about it, including the police.
Obviously you can still get in trouble for voyeurism, but you would need to go out of your way to do that.

If you are in the States some nigger on pcp can fill you with led or some redneck on meth can blast your ass thinking you threw your mattress in his trash bin
    >>
    >>4524901
That can happen regardless of you taking pictures or not.
My advice? Relocate to a better part of the country. Same thing I would say for most places in the world that still have at least some nice areas to live in.

I have no image to contribute yet but I plan to shoot with a similar theme using what I believe is rebranded vision 500T (Frontier orchestra 1000T) when night comes back. So I will share in a couple months if the thread is still up, mainly I just wanted to say >>4525126 is retarded.

It pisses me off to no end that every photo book is always some bullshit price like $200-$300.

intimate distance is a retrospective of all his works and is relatively cheap. is there any point buying house hunting if it's pricier?

I picked up 2 eggleston books (guide and the last dyes) for less than 80 bucks each last month, the only photo books that are consistently that pricy are like hardback taschen ones or maybe a super fancy exhibition catalogue

A lot of your night photos are missing a feeling of tension or like a feeling of danger. I want to feel like ill get in some trouble looking at a house hunting photo

that's such a valid critique, I'm definitely going for more of a soft, warm cozy feeling but I think you're right in that not being compelling on its own

Kek, it is just a pic of a porch but I like it. It's a cool pic. Crop it slightly so the porch is centered.

For these 3 i used portra 800 with a very odd filter stack

    >didymium filter
    >tiffen cc40M
    >FLD
    >scientific quadbandpass filter i had to custom fit

This stack turns all artifical white lighting green while also keeping daylight and warm lighting unchanged by the effect.
