So is there actually a winner or poll or anything this time? The old OP from years ago at least kept up with his threads and did that shit.
>>4515122no, just do this challenge for no reason. it's fuN!
>>4515122>>4515123We should vote to see whose picture is the worst and then all make fun of him.

clouds rule. clouds would make a good periodic general thread>>4515868great view>>4516259love the impression that i'm in the clouds >>4515122i think the challenge format is much better than the contest format. there's not a good way to poll winners fairly and there's no way to facilitate prizing. if anything, compilation by anons of the best pics in each challenge could be a feasible reward. recognition.
been storming a lot here lately
Sunset boxed in by dark clouds at top, land at bottom, unfortunately not the most crisp, but I still like it!
The old challenge thread guy had a really awesome polling system. Anyone remember what it was? I would be willing to try to set it up again
>>4518752You are the am I talented guy but you leveld up since then right? If not, it's uncanny! You fundamentally have the same eye for photography
>>4518752Where does this fringe come from? I assume it was a phone camera? It's starting to show up on a lot of images.
>>4518815Yes. Samsung Android S22 I think It's a model from 2022.
>>4518817>the number in the S series from samsung is literally what year it came out in>"thinks" the S22 is from 2022
>>4518815We have a whole thread >>4501417It's just processing like sharpening around high contrast edges
>>4518815Android and iphone smartphones have over in-camera ai sharpening. It makes the images look weird I know.

Clouds from above?
Fuck the thread is still up I might as well shareI tried making a pinhole lens which is why this looks so shitty
I saw this while droving home from the grocery store yesterday. I'm still not satisfied with the photos I got because none of them can quite express how the clouds looked in real life - they had such volume and dimension to them, it was like seeing a bubbling angry tide coming in upside down and breaking upon the hills.
>>4520619Pretty cool it worked at all, let alone enough that we can tell sky, clouds, and a horizon of sorts.
Clouds around the eclipse
Found this one on Wikimedia Commons. It’s one of the featured pics on there. It was taken last year, March 29, during a partial solar eclipse. The clouds made it especially attractive to me.
