>One good album>Considered one the elite bands of all timehow did they do it?
>>132010805It was mostly a marketing thing.
>>132010805i hate this band. i ask for rose and i get gun in the face
>>132010820Meanwhile I’m in desperate need of a gun but all I get is this stupid rose
>>132010805>One good albumputs then in the top 0.1% of bands already
>>132010820>>132010873Skill issue, I'm holding on to my gun and everything is roses.
>>132010805Guns n Roses is trash. They were rockstars though, and somehow managed to have a huge impact, in the 80s which I guess you could say is an accomplishment and something to be proud of. They managed to get rich. If they came out today they probably wouldn’t make it past SoundCloud, or Bandcamp. There’s no big wig bigots left to sign em up to big fat record contracts anymore. We would’ve never even heard of bands like this if they would’ve came out in the internet age (after 2010).
>>1320108051 more good album than most bands make tho
>>132010805actually like stuff on double album better (tho there is obviously tons of filler on it)more complex songs.appetite is too much butt rock.am I prog and don't even know it?
>>132010974Location of this anon's IP: New Delhi
>>132010805>One good albumnot even one. they all sucked
>>132011470>Tons of filler on Illusions>Too highbrow for Appetite>am I prog Worse, you're a snob.
>>132010805their few hits are classic rock radio mainstays
>>132010805Between Appetite + Illusion 1&2 + Patience they have enough good songs to send the crowd home happy after every concert
>>132011797sorry, but stuff like 'Estranged' go like on a musical journey. All the Appetite stuff is pretty standard cookie-cutter blues rawk by way of hair metal. (i guess they got those little bridges and stuff in stuff like Welcome to Jungle and Sweet Child that breaks up the monotony tho.)
>Considered one the elite bands of all timewhomstby exactly? I never met anyone who listens to them
>>132011887rednecks and gen xers
>>132011878I actually think GnR probably wouldn't have made it without those little diversionary parts in their Appetite hits that were really rather jarringly different than main groove of song.without those, they sound too similar to all the other million blues rawke/hair metal bands of the time.
>>132011887one of ten, or maybe only five, rock bands who can regularly sell out football stadiums
>>132011887Its hard to explain how huge they were in the 80s-90s. They were probably biggest band in America for a couple years. MTV never stopped playing the November Rain video, literally every fucking hour
>>132010805Lies was a good EP/album, and the Illusions had plenty of great tracks.
