If this album isn't a millennial post 9-11 classic, I don't know what is.
    >>
I used to love it when I was young but BJA's awful guitar playing brings the album down bigtime imo. Through Insomniac they got away with that but as they matured the lack of musicianship became too hard to ignore.
    >>
Millennials hated this album, this marked the point where they got their next generation of fans,
Green Day peaked at Insomniac, American Idiot and everything since has been their decline

    >Millennials hated this album

Cause they were too busy listening to nigger music.
    >>
    >>132006357
Eh' Billie is a solid guitarist for what he does, his weak point is his lyrics, his attempt to get political is cringe/juvenile: "do wanna be an american idiot!" ooh, burn! Deep critical insights! May as well called it: American Dumb-dumb heads
    >>
    >>132006321
    Think again
    >>
    >>132006461
    Nickelback = Temu/butt-rock Nirvaana
    >>
    >FUCK BUSH AND THE ESTABLISHMENT
    >But also don't forget to vote for John Kerry
    >>
    >>132006516

    >>
    Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
    >>
if Warning hadn't flopped they'd have ended up being like REM or something
    >>
    Pop punk was never good.

it was 2004, i am not a burger, and also not in burgerstan
    >everybody on the world thinks invading iraq is a stupid idea
    >(except USA)
    >(and some brits)
    we all celebrated that song

today, i feel _used_ ever liking that song
    >>
    >>132006471
    it's nirvana with test
    >>
    >>132006357
Please stop be this kind of person. Billie is a great guitarist and you should be mature enough to see it that way. He plays very tight and is also a great songwriter. You can see people covering Green Day on Youtube, cover bands, etc and they play the songs sloppily. You should respect Billie for what he does. There's nothing worse than seeing comments from guitarists on youtube shitting all over him as if everything is so easy. He was the one who created these songs and performs incredibly well.

    Nope
    Cobain = legit
    Kroeger = larping pussy faggot
    >>
    >>132008202
Kroeger has a decisive height, weight, reach advantage on Cobain and he doesn't suffer from a crippling heroin addiction plus whatever previously unknown to medical science STD's he caught from Love. Kroeger would body him decisively.
    >>
    >>132006321
    gay little band
    >>
    >>132008333
    I'm talking about their music,
Cobain is a legit original unique talent ARTIST
    Kroeger is a try-hatd wannabe derivative/generic mainstream/normie pop-slop writing POSER
    >>
    >>132009147
And worse, his dad-rock lyrics front as if he is some kind of badass = lame af
    >>
    >>132009157
That contradiction is precisely why they are considered a joke by anyonevwho knows anything, whereas Kurt/Nirvana are almost universally respected
    >>
If I were you I would enjoy the full music video for Wake me up when september ends, one last time, before they make "Warslop no. 734" because you did..
    >>
    >>132006321
The government paid them to make this to make the antiwar movement look gay as fuck to promote enlistment, and it worked.
    >>
    >>132006321
    it is
    it holds up
im not really even a fan

    >>132006441
they have an album called dookie, you dumb fuck
    >>
    >>132009171
kurt was doing his own thing, it happened to succeed
kroeger was tryna do pop, and succeeded

hey, if you take the origin story as fact, the guy was either flipping burgers or used that "heres you nickel back" as the namesake
    >>
    >>132009671
    >hey chad, how much is your music worth
    >five cents
    lol, wp sir
    >>
    >>132006321
    This album fucking sucks
    >>
    >>132006321
Millennial here, I dont listen to any Greenday songs anymore, but damn their coffee is really fucking good.
    >>
    >>132006321

    >>132006378
    >>132006415
So Millennial teens weren't listening to Green Day? Stop the fucking revisionism you fucking retarded sadist. Of course they were.
    >>
    >>132007489
    Pop punk is good
    MTV punk isn't
    >>
Green Day were an awful band that made immature music for teenagers
    >>
    Jesus of Suburbia is kino
    >>
I liked Dookie as a young lad but I'm afraid of listening to it now and find out it's shit
    >>
    >>132006321
It was pure fecal matter like everything Green Day has ever released.
    >>
    >>132006321
