>>131993176nice
>>131993158Yeah. I liked a few songs off whatever that Ballroom album was and didn't discover the frog album until later. They had a couple hits here then the world moved on. They're okay though
>>131993130yes, they were played regularly on the alternative rock radio stations in the united states from 1995 to 1997, then after the clear channel takeover they disappeared. they were big enough here in 1995 that they played on saturday night live
>>131993176https://youtu.be/8KHwuOtcALQ they were still big in the US for the second album too. The Spawn song was the latest thing I can remember hearing by them https://youtu.be/NE8wQYp7UD0
>>131993190Also need to add Machine Gun Fellatio
>>131993130I had that cd
>>131993258https://youtu.be/8KHwuOtcALQnever heard that song. I was already listening to Korn by then.
>>131993158not really famous they were a one-hit wonder and it wasn't even that big of a hit but if you were alive and listening to the radio back then you probably heard them
>>131993190Paul Kelly, Australian Crawl 404 m8
>>131993130lmao they were popular here in Canada back in the 90s
>>131993130>Did anyone outside Australia ever listen to Silverchair?as a teenager in the early to mid 2010s in America, I started trawling one of my local record stores and library for new music, and one of the albums I stumbled upon was Frogstomp. I was already getting quite into grunge through Nevermind at that period, so the sound suited me fine enough. Then I found out about Freakshow and I went and listened to that and liked it even more than I did and do Frogstomp."Learn To Hate" is a definite standout, probably the best track, and in retrospect it feels like it presages 2000s rock music, as that's the only thing I can think of that sounds similar to it.I've never however bothered to listen to anything after that.
>>131993130Also, for the record, we also watched Durianrider and Freelee The Banana Girl, and Mia Wasikowska films. And most recently, Luude's "Down Under".Of course too, the Hemingway brothers and Hugh Jackman.
>>131993258>>131993474"Freak" is great, one of the album's best songs
>>131993206>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARVSQL7_cJ4this was rocking but I feel the sound of his voice and his funk rock-ish / nu metal-ish style are inappropriate for the tone of the music and fall flat and uncompelling
>>131993190THE FUCKING AUSMUTEANTS I live in the UK now and bought an Ausmuteants shirt online a few months back as I realised I never actually bought one at a gig back then, I was wearing it last night selling merch for Panchiko of all bands proudly signalling my allegiance to those legends
>>131993130I grew up in bumfuck rural USA and my dad had frogstomp and freakshow on CD
