They're actually really goodhttps://youtu.be/YP2LcbxK-5c
>>131987211I could never get into the Mom-Rock era, but their ealier more punk-inspired stuff is pretty great. They were huge fans of Minneapolis bands like Replacements and Hüsker Dü, and it really showed. They even covered the Plimsouls on one of their early albums.https://youtu.be/4RcAaSHK3w0
>>131987211>https://youtu.be/YP2LcbxK-5cthis is talentless and uninspiredsure sounds like "momrock" >>131987306 to me
Superstar Car Wash [Metal Blade, 1993] :(
slide is a million times better than irisreminds me of fuel 'shimmer' which is another dope songdoesn't have to be the most musically brilliant song but it makes me feel comfy good music to listen to when you're caught in something emotional that you can't put your finger on but know will come to an answer soon
Nah i think they're appropriately rated. This must be what it feels like to gen-xers when millennials started jerking off to steely Dan.
>>131988539Except Steely Dan is good and these fags are garbage.
unironically my mom dragged me to their concert a few years ago and John Rzeznik is my idol now. definitely the coolest and most fun frontman I've ever seen. they also have a number of really good songs other than the big hits you've heard on the radio.
>>131988636lol your mom still shlicks to that guy
>>131988707shit I would too
>>131987211They had one good song they wrote on accident, then a bunch of mediocre attempts to recreate it>>131988064Terrible opinion. "Slide" is the "Lost World" to Iris' "Jurassic Park"
>>131988715gayyyyyy
>>131988750Name is a good song
the best song is Sympathyrunner ups are Black Balloons and Always Know Where You Are
>>131987306their mom rock stuff sucked but I liked them up to Superstar Carwash.
their late 90s stuff was overplayed as fuck and sappy ballads for middle aged women. their og era they were an ok replacements ripoff gin blossoms kind of sound but nothing special
