What’s your favorite Fugazi album?
>>
Killtaker
>>
>>131979915
Facet Squared might be their best opener
>>
>>131979951
Instrument, baby
>>
>>131979975
10/10 song yes
>>
>>131979893
The recent release of the Albini session for In on the Kill Taker. I can never fully get into this band but Albinis production really sold me on that record.
>>
>>131980035
I like Albini but lol
>>
>>131980083
Shit band anyway
>>
>>131980157
I could see a pleb with bad taste thinking that yeah
>>
Fugazi pumped up John and Rick's highschool band (pitchfork) dreams enough, that they formed DLJ
>>
>>131980362
Fugazi pumped up every bands dreams, the 90’s would not be the same without them and Pixies
>>
>>131980393
I forgot to mention that their highschool band opened for fugazi and Ian told them how much he liked them and that John had a similar style to one of his favorite guitarists, pen rollings, and John was already a fan of Pen, so to be compared to him from Ian got him rock hard I think and motivated him.

I bet it did that’s probably thousands of musicians wet dream

In On The Killtaker

For me, it’s The Argument.
>>
>>131979893
Turnstile is my Fugazi!
>>
>>131981064
No way
>>
>>131980328
you don't have to talk about yourself that way anon, everyone has guilty pleasures, be proud
>>
>>131979893
Unwound better
Shellac better
Jesus Lizard better
Jawbox better
Quicksand better
Drive Like Jehu better
At the Drive In better
Rites of Spring better
Embrace better
Egg Hunt better
One Last Wish better
People only pretend to like this band for social brownie points
>>
>>131981678
You have to be 18 or older to post here
>>131981691
Aside from RoS obviously those bands all list Fugazi as an influence so I guess by your logic all those groups only started bands for brownie points kek
>>
>>131981062
Agreed. It's more sombre but full of a hardened anger towards the world.
>>
>>131982863
The composition of the songs is also amazing
>>
All of them except the first 2 eps.
>>
>>131983346
You don’t like 13 songs?
>>
>>131981691
The only one of these that is true is Jesus Lizard
>>
>>131983371
No. Not at all. Hate Waiting Room. Hate Bulldog Front. Etc.

'ate waitin room, 'ate bulldog front

luv merchandise, luv blueprint, simple as.
>>
>>131983827
I can understand thinking Waiting Room is overrated since it’s the meme song everyone knows even if they don’t listen to Fugazi, but it doesn’t make it a bad song.
>>
All of them
>>
>>131981691
>Shellac
>good
>>
>>131981062
This, easy. Guy is off the rails, his songs are the strongest imho, pick any one, Ian's Ex-Spectator is a defining moment, Lally's The Kill is hot shit that holds the whole thing together. Truly remarkable to dip on your finest work. Best time to listen to this is after hours or early am when it's dark out, snowy or grey autumn day
>>
>>131979893
Theyre all the same except the first one and the last one. I've listened to end hits the most.
>>
>>131987076
Based
>>131987202
Red Medicine and End Hits are completely different though lol End Hits has some really good songs but is overall their worst and the only mediocre album they ever put out
>>
>>131981062
>>131987076
Yes, absolutely. Full Disclosure is my dark horse pick for their finest moment. Something about that melodic break where they start playing Sonic Youth chords is just pure fucking bliss.

>>131987850
>End Hits has some really good songs but is overall their worst and the only mediocre album they ever put out
I used to think it was their weakest but it grew on me. Arpeggiator is probably their best 'experimental' track (there are a handful of those spread throughout their last 3 albums), and No Surprise is also secretly a top-tier Fugazi song and it bothers me that I never see people bring it up.
>>
>>131979893
UUHHHHHHH Repeater
>>
>>131979893
13 Songs. I'd rather listen to Minor Threat though.
>>
>>131988036
No Surprise is one of my favorite Fugazi songs as well, but I’m the opposite of you in that the more I listened to End Hits against their whole discography the less it stood out to me. I still think it’s good I wouldn’t give it less than a 7/10.
>>131988088
Minor Threat appreciators are welcome
>>
I love Fugazi :)
