Going to be replacing the speakers in my 79 Ultralinear Twin Reverb. If you've played one of these things, you know it has extremely high powered glassy cleans. Definitely leaning into british voiced speakers to help boost the mids and tame the insane hifi treble on the silverface Twin. There is an insane collection of celestions I could choose from. So far, I'm thinking of doing a Classic lead 80 to give the amp some thud in the low to fundamental mid range and then a 75W Creamback to give some upper mid snarl. What would you guys put in a 135 Twin Reverb to help balance the sound? I'm playing in a Garage Psych rock band

Some Fenders are VERY 'Marshall' sounding when you crank them, some aren't. Blackface Princetons and Deluxes really fall apart and turn into flubby shit when dimed.Vibroluxes and Dual Reverbs sound very British when you crank them. Similarly, vintage Marshalls like plexis/early JMPs have really nice cleans that are very glassy similar to blackface amps when they aren't cranked....if you stuck a bunch of spring reverb in front of a plexi on low volume you'd have a hard time differentiating it from a Blackface.
