jazz and popslop are the two genres where it doesn't matter if it's AI or not.
    >>
    >>131824589
You have AI derangement syndrome, probably spend the other half of your day accusing people on twitter of being Russian bots. I just think that particular Grant Green album is underappreciated, people overlook latin jazz because it was a relatively brief fad
    >>
    >>131829923
You've got a tin ear if you couldn't tell the difference between AI and an early 60s Blue Note release
    >>
    >>131812637
The worst part is that some of them mix real songs with AI garbage.
I remember finding some coffee house vaporwave mix or something like that and in between a bunch of AI it was Weather Report and Spyro Gyra songs.
    It's a shame, really.

I think this is a perfect introductory album. Has a decent variety of styles to later choose a specific niche (Jazz ballad, swing, bebop, etc)

    For Bossa specifically
    Stan Getz - Jazz Samba
    Vince Guaraldi - Black Orpheus

My mother used to be one of these generic youtube jazz channels enjoyers and is now a big fan of Guaraldi in general (Also thanks to the Charlie Brown Nostalgia)

Why does everyone make a point to hate it? It got pushed by the YT algo during a certain point in time, sure. It's not groundbreaking or particularly well-played jazz - but it is easy and catchy to listen to, and a very strong entry point into the genre. I don't think any album that gets people into more difficult genres deserves hate, even if it gets disproportionate attention relative to its impact on its genre or time.

Anyone that thinks listing Ryo Fukui grants them ball knowledge is a total tourist, we all know this by now.

quincy jones stinks as a player. at least the tourist shit is influential. jones is a half rate performer and should always be relegated to arranging and producing behind the scenes because those are his only real talents, and even then they are... middling compared to others. rest of the list is good tho listen 2 that anon
