Can this be repaired with epoxy?
    >>
do you want to glue the broken off piece back on or are you just traying to slather enough epoxy on there to cover the hole?
    >>
    >>3012011
The first one, btw it's a low pressure system if that important
    >>
    >>3012010
    a) how did that even happen?
    b) how hot does it get?

If it’s just for cosmetic purposes, epoxy would work… you can get the stuff with steel in it.
I doubt it would be functional very long unless you encased it with a *lot* of high-temp epoxy (like build a big block around it), and prepped a lot of surface area for it.
Don’t forget to add lots of fiberglass for extra strength under heat (and use high-heat epoxy)

braze it lmao fucking epoxy will not work.
    >>
    >>3012016
    This. Brazing would be ideal.

anon lives in a shithole kommiebloc (notice the sanitarium puke green walls) he definitely doesnt have an oxy acetylene torch to braze shit up
and it shouldnt even be his problem
and theres usually a pile of spares in a closet somewhere
or just pull the tie bolt and knock the busted section out

    > braze
That is just as bad as trying to use paste glue.
What you need to do is take the thing out, and make an outer mold and an inner mold using casting sand using the radiator as a model.
Then melt down some iron and pour it into the mold. After it’s cooled, put it in your CNC and machine the pipe ends and anything else that needs to be within tolerance. Easy. 20 minute job.

stuff the holes with imitation crab meat, 2 birds 1 stone
    >>
You could take it out and sandblast it to see if any other areas are about to fail.
    >>
    If epoxy fails, try ramen
    >>
Pull it out and replace it with a share or something from the scrapeyard

    these are screwed together
soak in muriatic acid for a day, tear it down and remove the broken section

I know this is complete bait and you're just being a disingenuous asshole, but brazing is quite easy and a preferred fix for cast iron.

i would try and epoxy it but after taking a wire wheel dremel and getting any flaking off and then a rust converter. if you wanted you could get a stainless steel hose clamp and put it around to hold it down.
