The plier is from a keychan, but still a functional tool, nevertheless

it's hard to describe, but i'm always on the lookout for tools i can fidget with. my favorites so far are my 5 inch locking pliers and the knipex style 7 inch wrench pliers.

instead of hundred FUCKING dollar Leatherman, I'm gonna go with mini-kit of individual mini-tools.

that way if one gets fucked, or loaned and "lost" its not the whole $100 thats fucked.

Plus can "customize" as needed and carry all purpose goodies like paracord, paperclips, zip-ties, rubberbands, etc.

No pic of it handy but I scored a Mac stubby 3/8" ratchet in a $5 grab box at a yard sale

I've tried all sorts of multi tools and Keychain etc type of tools and things of that nature over the years. They're clumsy.
I use a pocket box cutter, pen sized, and a small #1 screwdriver reversible philips/flathead in my pocket and never turned back.

can't go wrong with a used wingman anon, you can still use the warranty too.

    >>3009864
how about individual tools from the same brand. best of both worlds.

    ... and no insecurities

    >>3009920
ok but how useful is a 2" saw or blade really.

Just keep full size stuff in the truck
    Way easier
    >>
    >>3010617
truck doesn't fit in backpack or bike bags or even elevator

probably use various eyeglasses case, hard, soft and or open ended soft depending on size of kit.

I just took an EDC pic and I don't see any better place to put it, so here we go. I'm an ex-mechanic going back to school for machining/CNC programming. I have a whole toolbox but this is the stuff that I actually keep on my person during the day. Obviously I have a phone, wallet, sunglasses, and keys too but they're not interesting enough to cram into the photo.

nice collection. my metric system brain was confused for a moment by the sub inch segments on the ruler.
i really like the caliper pen. how bad is it to type with?
    >>
    >>3011212
Honestly awful, it's a weird flattened diamond shape. It was a tradeshow giveaway from Zeiss and I just keep it around because it's cool.

    >A calculator, 2 calipers, and a ruler.
Why don't you post what you actually carry with you?
    >>
    >>3011219
That's what's in (or on, in the case of the caliper) my pockets on a daily basis. I don't think anybody cares about my wallet, keys, or the empty phone case I'd have to include. I have guns but don't carry one because I'm on a college campus and keeping it 100% concealed when I have to crawl around and under machines isn't practical. Also it's one caliper, the other one is a novelty pen.

Why don't you show us your pocket protector, Poindexter?

I EDC a victorinox swisstool. Use it almost every day.

ive EDC'd a stanley snap blade for nearly 21 yrs now. never goes dull and adequate for 90% of knife use, from wire stripping to self defense. i go through 2 blades per month on average
