Would moving into a trailer park, maybe into a 3 bed trailer and putting up a wall around the living area to create a 4th bedroom, be a viable way to escape the insane costs of home ownership?

I'm even looking at trailer parks and planning to find the right balance of trashiness of the current tenants there - trashy enough to keep the lot rents down but not so much that I'd feel unsafe living there.

    lmao

You're a slave to the lot owner and you pray they never sell.

They're called single wide and double wide. Land, septic, well and a mobile home is a good solution. Trailer park not so much. Why tf do you think you need 4bdrm?

    Im guessing to rent out

Even in piss poor nothing if you live in the US I can almost promise that turning your living room into a bedroom is a code violation.

You're an idiot if you think code prevents people from putting a bed in the living room or even sub dividing shit however they want. What the law prevents is calling it a room on a real estate listing, it being that way or you sleeping in it is not illegal.

No, it's a money pit and bad investment. Doubt you could even get a home equity line of credit. It's about as bad of an investment as a car. Especially with your energy bills.

Interesting about the code violation. The legality of it is besides the point if an insurance adjuster won't cover a fire or if someone gets hurt on your property and sues. You'd be out of money but I don't know if it would be criminal like say if you were to have an illegal porch and someone falls and gets injured.

Private equity is buying trailer parks and raising lot rents anywhere from 75% to 150%, sometimes even more.

You can't raise a normal family in a trailer park.

    Extremely based and red-pilled

    no, its a bad idea
you should state your problem fully in order to understand it because you are running away from sort of a responsibility that is becoming expensive to you

You can just form a Corp with the 4/8 people and buy shares of a house and get a mortgage for it. Very popular.among Asian and Latin families. Whites frankly retarded for not using this obvious tool.

It's weird that you think people living in a trailer park care about stuff like that

In my region trailer parks are being forced to sell at an accelerating rate to build houses for richer people. They're no longer a "safe haven" for cheapskates and blue collars that make more than apt dwellers but not enough to qualify for a mortgage. YMMV though.
