I like the lettering a lot, is that stencil sprayed or what?

Anyway I use auer euronorm boxes with dymo letterpress, these are just the low ones (30x40x15) the ones I have are between 30x20x15 to 60x40x50

I got a bunch of safety deposit boxes from a local auction when a bank shut down. Great for smalls because each one has a pull out drawer. Holy fuck are they heavy though. Solid steel frames that weigh a ton, stainless steel doors that are like an inch thick. To get the fucking things out of my truck I had to push them onto a stack of pallets. I then used two stacks of pallets. Second stack has one less pallet in it. Push it onto that stack. Remove two from the first stack. Push it onto that stack. Repeat until I can get it low enough to push it onto the hard cart. If I ever have to move I'm going to leave the fuckers behind.

it's not the best picture, it could be cnc machined into the wood and darkened with stain, or drawn on with some sort of plotter, or maybe the dude just has really good handwriting

Nice nice. I got my lockers for free when an office I worked at shut down and just got rid of everything that wasn't asset tagged. Picnic tables, shop fans, desks, chairs. Hell I even stumbled on a box of brand new extension cords and a case of antifreeze in storage.

I have an older version of that, with metal latches and better wheels. It sucks. The size and shape doesn't really work well for most stuff and the whole thing just feels like a piece of shit. Having to remove the whole top part to get into the bottom is annoying too, and it's such a floppy janky POS that getting it to line back up is a pain, and the shape doesn't really work for putting in a vehicle unless it's a panel van. I just use it for soring seldom-used tools and supplies nowadays.

I do wish I could get something similar to my Klein modular boxes but shallow like that one you posted, though. They make shallow boxes but not with wheels or drawers, and I'd really want the same sort of setup I have on mine (wheeled bottom with drawers and top-opening bin on top) but just with less floorspace taken up because I need to get it into narrow areas between machines without it blocking the aisle.

I struggle to decide on labels because sometimes they're verbs and sometimes nouns and I want them all to be the same but that really doesn't work so I hate the end result no matter what.

I see your 20' and raise you a 40' high cube... I probably need to source a few more. I have too much shit. The blue one at my house is organized pretty nicely. Have 40 more 40' high cubes at the shop that are full of stuff that I really need to get organized better. Could probably set a couple more up there and then my mom wants one at her place...

I've also amassed a bunch of job boxes over the years. They're pretty handy.

I dug up the Stanley box I mentioned and tried it for a day but it sucked, the body dragged on the ground while rolling and the handle was so short that it made my back sore to pull, and barely fit my gear with no room to spare. I ended up finding a smaller, lighter "Black Diamond" modular setup that's bigger than the Stanley but smaller than the Klein and it seems alright so far. Here's the Stanley loaded up, I should take a pic with the new box.

    >>3009430
Honestly mine has never been anywhere close to a jobsite. I bought it when I was moving cross-country and knew I'd have to live in short-term rentals for a while until I found a house, and I didn't want to just dump all of my tools in cardboard boxes where they'd be a pain in the ass to access. It's not doing much now that I've got a garage shop set up with workbenches and a US General cart.

knock yourself out OP. I came to ask my /diy/ anons their thoughts about marriage. I'm 30+ and I met someone who fits what I expect in a woman. But my field of work is getting replaced by AI (already feeling the bite), and my hermit tendencies get in the way of life sometimes, I have stability, and everything where I need it to be, so starting anew feels like threatening what i have worked so hard to build. I don't know if I should stay on the lonely paved road, or go off it and see what happens.

Also how would i make this box situation better because I'm running out of room
    >>
    >>3011687
Hey, I'm in a similar boat just realize that AI is going to hit every field of work in pretty much the same set of ways. Economics will have to change.

Anyway my advice to you is to simply think about what you would like to do next, and do it, reducing the 'time between doing shit' is how i changed my life. Good luck
    >>
    >>3011717
Personally I feel like there's more honor in having tried and failed than there is in never having tried at all.
But to be fair I say that as someone who rarely tries, because I can't get over my own ego, so take my advice with a grain of salt. It's very much armchair advice.

If you were lucky enough to have successful parents (I don't mean in the economical sense, but as in parents who complimented each other in marriage and both loved each other earnestly) I think that's the most valuable thing that human existence can offer. But obviously if you can get to that state is a gamble and one that doesn't always work out.

    >>3011742
    >>3011717
it's good advice anon. thank you. i've already failed once after putting in a whole 7 years, and i give this new chance 30% of succeeding because of our differences. so idk maybe i'll let it decide itself by itself and not force it. i have been trying to stay supportive toward her because her family is going through a rough year, but can't help feel the cold shoulder. my ego isn't hurt or nothing i understand what she's going through.

    >>3011749
One of the upsides of dating in your thirties is you get to skip a lot of the shit associated with immaturity that you have to deal with in your younger years.
Wishing you and her the best anon.

Do you know what a miracle stacking totes are coming from an age of wood hammered together with almost an handle on it?
Multiple custom tray inserts? Go fuck yourself. I might want a giant cast iron drill press from the 60s but I don't want their fucking organizers.
