I’m getting ready to divorce my wife. Our son is 11 months old and since he was born our marriage started to fade. We have less and less in common and argue more and more. Before our son was born our relationship was close to perfection but now she’s like a stranger to me. We don’t have sex, we don’t spend time together, we barely talk to each other. She doesn’t care about her looks anymore and the nagging is never ending. AITA for wanting the divorce? I don’t think any of us is considering saving this marriage.

>>35056011Make sure you both have a plan to take care of your son. Your son is overall your main priority, as well as your mental and physical health.
>>35056011be honest, why do you think this is happening?
>>35056011I'm in a similar situation to you, but one year down the road. I'm considering the same thing. I would think most of the issue would be your kid - division of custody, separation, logistics. Do you both have a good relationship with your kid? That will determine a lot too in my opinion. My wife can be needlessly mean to our kid and its sometimes scary, but I don't have anyone who could watch him and most of my support system would evaporate overnight. If divorce happens in my case, I'm fully expecting to have my kid with full custody, which right now by myself would be impossible.Have you talked to her about your needs and how you feel? Does she flip out or become unreasonable or ignore you altogether? It's never a good idea to try to read her mind, you could be able to negotiate.
>>35056011>Oh no >Why has our relationship been less about us and more stressful?>It's as if having a baby that screams every day every night and shits itself constantly while biting the shit out of my wife's nipples might have something to do with it Be patient you dumb nigger. It gets better when the baby starts to function independently. Remember to ask for your parents or the in laws help too, they can look after the kid for a day or a night while you and your wife get a break
>>35056011>AITA for wanting the divorce?Yes. She has post partum depression, and you're abandoning her.
>don't have sex after a yearkek Why did you plan to have a child without doing your research? Sounds like shes overworked and doing too much with the kid. I feel sorry for your kid if you're giving up this quickly
