People who finally got on ADHD meds in adulthood, what was your experience like?
    >>
    >>35055626
went from a dead end neet to back in school, clubs, and a job
    >>
its pretty incredible. it made me exceptionally effective productivity wise and improved my mental health management. does cause some issues with my self control tho, easily 10x horny. currently 4 years on meds.
    >>
    >>35055661
    Good for you
    >>
    >>35055665
    Amphetamines?
    >>
i'm still in the process of finding the right medication, i am already hyper active as is, and the meds i have taken so far are making me even more restless, but i do notice that my brain fog is gone and i can focus better. also helps that i am getting anti depressants now as part of my diagnosis

So you're been 10x hornier for four years? How do you manage that
    >>

my experience with ADHD is what i can only describe as a "self-destruction dopamine seeking behavior loop". I've found that High frequency weight training mixed with taking full advantage of post nut clarity helps avoid that behavior.
    Also, lots of therapy.

It's a scam. ADHD is just an excuse for lazy retards and the meds don't even work I took them for my lazy retard adhd disorder, I went from being a jobless loser with a messy home to being gainfully employed, keep a nice home and even got a wife and kids now. what a total rip off

big pharma just wants you to have a good job with a steady home life so you'll be able to afford their meds, disgusting really
    >>
    >>35056623
Tell me about it. They stole my life with their scam drugs. I used to be somebody, I used to wake up at 5pm and sleep at 3am masturbating to porn folders, having cigarettes for dinner and sleep for breakfast in my shit hole apartment cluttered with beer cans. Now I have been reduced to what? A tidy and organized functional worker and a family man? Its snake oil evil shit

What's the best way to test if I have ADHD? Should I set up a lot of those local tests like SART and make them hardcore?
Then ask AI to analyze the results?

I would like to do a personal first pass before paying so much for the consultations.

By far the best decision I have ever made. Feels like that movie limitless. I cant even imagine how shit my life would be if I hadnt started them.
    >>
    >>35057223
You take stimulants and if you feel relaxed and calm you have ADHD
    >>
    >>35057420
not necessarily, that's not always the case, different meds work differently for different people.

Got diagnosed in my late 20s, tried the natural route for nearly a decade prior to that (diet, sleep, exercise, supplements, etc).
Only reason I stuck to those was because they had immediate benefits.

    Anyways, here’s my experience:
    Pros
    >Able to delay gratification/better impulse control
    >Brain isn’t as noisy
    >Short-term memory is much better
    >Much less anxious
    >Better focus
    >Better task initiation+tasks feel easier
    >emotional regulation improved/better mood
    Cons
    >Basically none right now for me but that wasn’t always the case

I’m currently on guanfacine (a non-stimulant). Don’t think it does much for most adults, but it’s damn near perfect for me.
Also tried stimulants (methylphenidate), but didn’t see the point in continuing once I realized I could reap 90% of its benefits from guanfacine alone without any side effects.

    tl;dr
    >would probably still be a hikineet rotting away if not for adhd meds

i take 70mg vyvanse every day and its made my life so much better. ama
    >>
    >>35055626
Most productive month of the last twenty years was trying vyvanse, unfortunately all the meds I’ve taken seem to raise my blood pressure to the point it’s actually dangerous, resting was like 180/110 and I spiked over 200, so I had to stop taking them. Really wish I could have continued. Adderall completely killed my ability to get boners though, which absolutely sucked.
    >>
    >>35057560
what dose of vyvanse were you on?
    >>
    >>35057566
    Highest I got was 40 I think?
    >>
    >>35057420
Most retarded thing I've read. Found this board via find.4chan.org, didn't expect anything yet I'm let down.
    >>
    made me poop
    >>
    >>35057610
