Let's say I got this message after uploading absolutely ZERO CSAM onto Google drive.
Let's say regardless, I don't want the police knocking on my door or to have to defend myself in court.
Let's say I don't want Google to automatically send a tip to NCMEC with my IP address attached.
Gemini says if it was that bad, they would have locked my account and wouldn't allow me to tamper with it at all (I clicked agree and immediately deleted the whole account) and that it was just a soft-block. Sounds convincing, and I hope it's true but I need extra confirmation.

There's no reason not to take what they say at face value: so long as you don't do it again, you'll be fine. Mind you, if it had been me, I probably wouldn't have deleted everything, I would have asked for clarification about exactly what it was that had tripped the alarm. If it was something entirely harmless that was misinterpreted by an AI, it would have been helpful for them and you to know what it was. Now that you've deleted everything, there's no way to set the record straight. But it's too late to worry about that. You should probably change your passwords, just in case someone else has been using your account to do something dodgy. But otherwise you should be fine.

if it was bad you wouldnt get a warning theyd just silently tip the authorities so they can start building a case

Major corporations do more to defend pedophiles than anything. You have nothing to worry about.

To clarify, I'm not a pedophile.

The thing is, Google's policy isn't very clear. They say they send a tip to NCMEC and, depending on the severity, lock the account. I would have thought they would lock the account first and then tip child saftey organizations and the authorities! I really hope it's not automatic.

They wouldn't know until they looked at the content (I deleted the drive), I believe an AI scanned my drive and automatically sent a warning message.

    >They wouldn't know until they looked at the content
That's a rather sketchy thing to say.

Yeah well, you know what I meant.
