Same old boring shit. It’s just been getting worse lately. Thinking about giving up, not like suicide or anything but just stop trying to do anything. I’d still wake up, go to the gym, eat and sleep but other than that I don’t want to do much more. At least for one or two years. No more job hunting. Learning new things etc.
I’ve don’t something in life. Worked a few years, got a degree. Realistically, I could still bounce back in life later right? Once I got better of course

    PSA to all men:
If you ever feel betrayed by foid(s) and plan to off yourself, plz do so only by taking these evil ones out first before doing the needful, in minecraft obviously. You're morally obligated to clean the genepool by taking a whole lot of evil foids to the otherworld with you, all in vidja. Always remember that it's a sin to kill yourself when it doesn't serve a righteous and holy cause. And yes, taking out evil constituents of the foid group(in mincecraft) is indeed a righteous & holy thing to do

Momentum is hard to rebuild once you give up
Success is exponential as well so you miss out on significant gains later in life if you take an early break

I don’t have much momentum to begin with. Been struggling for 2 years jobless and I wasn’t doing well even before that

No. What did you work in before college? Maybe focus on finding a similar job. Also get outside if you can.

Basic web dev stuff. Don’t think I could do it anymore or that field even exists anymore

Well here’s the thing anon. Once you get in the habit of giving up and being a lazy bum for awhile it sticks. “I can just bounce back later. I’ll start tomorrow.” “Maybe next week.”, etc…

I’m currently in this state. I had the same mindset. I’ll just take a few months off… now it’s been four years where I haven’t done shit and live in my grandma’s house. I have no money because I spent it at bars and gambling. My girlfriend broke up with me because I have nothing going for me. I’m basically retarded from gaming and scrolling TikTok all day. And I smoke incredible amounts of nicotine.

Life fucking sucks. The more you fall the steeper the pit gets. Don’t be a pussy. Get to work.

So long as you're doing something valuable with your time, it won't be wasted. That might be travel, personal projects, volunteer work; it doesn't have to be some regimental personal improvement or for some longterm ambitions, but it should be something that you can come away from with some stories to tell at least, and hopefully having learned more about yourself and what you ultimately want. If you're just planning to rot in your room for a couple years letting your savings drain (like it sounds like you've been doing), the question isn't whether you can bounce back, it's if doing that will actually help you once it's over. If you do that, have your fun, and the time comes to get back out there, but it just feels like the life you've gotten used to is being stolen from you, or you're mentally unable to adapt, what would have been the point? You'd only be making it harder on yourself by delaying the inevitable. If what you're doing right now feels like a grind, and it's hurting you, then definitely do something else, but doing nothing at all won't help you, and is likely to just make it worse. If the job search is killing you, either look in another field and treat it as temporary, or get out of your house and see some of the world. If you're passing up jobs that you think you're too good for, maybe that's part of the problem. Even getting a shitty low-wage pizza place job to get you out of the house, talking to people and earning a little bit of money would probably help you. Better, because it would be a job you don't care about or need, so you can just take it easy, but hopefully also regain a little bit of work ethic too.
