I'm about to graduate from uni and I have absolutely 0 connections - not even with family (I'm an only-child, I haven't seen my father in years and my mother sees my cousin as more of a son than me).How fucked am I?

It's because you dont engage with who they are or the topics they bring up, and it's kind of subtle for some people but you gotta keep up if you want success. Getting mad or frustrated is pointless, it wont change nothing if people not direct. They arent sociopaths, they are focused people who have different things to do than answer basic questions. Give harder and more creative questions.
