It seems that you first need to treat women "like you would male friends". Such is the common advice, and I understand that this is the next forward, how do I do this?

Whenever I'm around female coworkers or peers, I can only keep the conversation to a bare surface level "it's good that it's friday" "how are you today" sort of dialogue.
I can't think of anything else to say.

Embarrassingly enough, not in middle, highschool, university or jobs in my early 20s, did I learn this ability, and remain woefully unprepared to interact with them.
It's not like I've got no interest in them, it's just how things turned out.

When you're forced into interactions with women, how do you speak to them?

Apologies for the grammatical errors, this was embarrassing to type out and I didn't want to proof check it.

You're overthinking it. There's no step-by-step tutorial to small talk that'll help you reach your desired outcome, which is being successful with women romantically it seems. You're probably an insecure, under socialized zoomer who grew up behind a screen of some kind. What you need is experience+trial and error. Willingly put yourself into social situations in which interacting with women(platonically and/or romantically) is a possibility and build up from there.

Oh, I forgot. At some point you have to make it clear to women that you do want to engage with them romantically(read: fuck them) without making a complete fool of yourself(which may happen at some point, especially in you first tries) or commiting a felony. Remember: women are WAY too passive to make the "first move" unless you're exceptionally attractive but I doubt that's the case since you wouldn't end up browsing 4cuck.org otherwise

Thank you anon, It seems I must just try to talk with colleagues more, and see what works.
I'm not worried about romance for now, I don't think I'd be a good romantic partner at present (I'm not well-rounded socially, which women seem to appreciate),

I am indeed pretty average looking. Whenever a woman has shown me the slightest bit of interest in the past, I've reacted in a way that I now view as shameful, therefore I have not talked to them much since I was a teenager, except as colleagues.

90% of all the conversations in the world, even among geniuses, is on the "small talk" level. What you don't realize is that WHAT is being talked about is of less importance than the fact of talking together.

Monkeys and apes "groom" each other, picking nits and dust out of each other's fur. But scientists have discovered that the nits and dust are just an excuse for sitting together and signaling friendship.

People make small talk for the same reason - to signal friendship. NO ONE really cares about the weather or last night's TV or local gossip. What everyone is saying between the words is "I like hanging out with you."
