>expected adult life to be champagne pops, business nights and balls>its literally a continuation of being a teenager with more money and legal freedoms>arrive first day at work dressed professionally>everyone else is in sports clothes, unshaved and stinky, except a few>eventually compromise to dressing a bit better than shit>expected to find my wife in a "o mademoiselle, may I have this dance" fashion at a fancy place>instead met her at the job by taking breaks togetherI still cannot overcome the disappointment.I do not like living like this.Am I just poor?
>>35036766Maybe you are poor, but I M H O a big part of growing up is realizing there are no real "pop the champagne" moments. Yeah sure at graduation or the opening of a business or something you can celebrate a bit, but you never get to jist put your feet up and hit cruise control. Even just to stay where you are you need to keep grinding away every day.
