mushi
>>291822592Ahhh!!!!
I recently watched the first season of this anime and I loved it. The vibe is something else. Very calming and meditative, the soundtrack does a lot to achieve this. Remined me of the softer pieces in Naruto for some reason. Will watch the second season now.
>>291821634Oh hell no not this chapter...
>>291821854Pretty interesting concept, an island full of the same people over and over
>>291822330Thanks for dumping. This one might be favorite.>spoilerWhat, you don't think he's a total gentleman for waiting a whole decade?
>>291821864>Married her at 10 years oldOh boy
>>291821919This is such a complicated feeling, imagine raising your parents as your own kids, and according to this myth they will eventually become just like them as adults so nothing you can do will alter that, it would be so uncanny

can you share your process for scanning this? I just started reading Blade of the Immortal and the english version almost completely ruins the flow of the story not to mention I've heard the english translation itself isn't great. I was thinking about buying a set of the Spanish or German perfect editions and scanlating them but I'm not sure how to go about it
>>291834334I think OP's dumping the digital version, so nothing was scanned.

>>291799284I didn't get it. Who's the current guardian?
>>291844794I think by losing the light vein, the mountain has lost its capacity to have a guardian? But you could say that through his effort to revitalize the land and plant new trees, the human owner acts as the mountain's new non-supernatural guardian. And maybe if the land has healed, the light vein will flow again, the fish will get his crown back, and the man can rule his land in accordance with the guardian, like his father did.Maybe this is a comment on how rulers used to justify their worldly power, by treating it as a means to uphold a sacred spiritual order? Priesthood and nobility, but priest is fish?

Cheeky Ginko(SCAM ARTIST)
>>291879579The OST is excellent.
>>291870066Yeah, apprentice back there is less disciple and more handyman
>>291879629Ginko walks a thin line between someone legit and a scam artist
mushi + shi = mushishiThink about it.
>>291821788>>291821802I'm not sure, this one doesn't seem like the work of a mushi.
>>291821864Based gamer old man.
>>291821964There's no proof, you can't be sure.
>>291822031Fuck...
You know, when you think about it, it's pretty fucking wild Mushishi got completely adapted like ten years after the first season aired.
>>291846000Senrigan!
>>291887681This can't be tr->S1 aired in 2005
>>291887681>good thing happeningYeah I still can't believe it.
>>291887681And it was a great adaptation
>>291869993sounds like mushi to me
>>291821560Goddamn
>>291890023it was so good, it bankrupt the studio
>>291887681What was also really impressive to me is that sequels still managed to keep the fantastic art style of the first season even after a whole decade. It's really a one of a kind type of adaptation.
>>291890935Wait what??
CHAPTER 24: Journey Through the Field of Fire
>>291821518>brand new translationabsolutely dogshit, the original translation by william flanagan from nearly 2 decades ago was far better, including the notes at the back.
CHAPTER 24, The End.Wow, that woman didn't even try burning one weed, before condemning the whole mountain? And now she's a walking biohazard? And Ginko got roughed up for being a cheeky bastard lolhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-h5SoGx81g
Translation Notes concerning these pages:>>291892462>>291892495Six more chapters to go, see you tomorrow!
>>291892191>absolutely dogshit, the original translation by william flanagan from nearly 2 decades ago was far better, including the notes at the back.Really, what's bad about this one? There was one really shittily translated chapter in the first CE book (the one on that island where a girl gets worshipped as a living god), but i would call everything else pretty solid. Then again, i don't know Japanese. If you can point out big mistakes, please do.Sometimes the whole meaning of sentences does change, check out picrel from the Flanagan translation, compared to >>291892708
>>291892191Here are the three appendix notes from the old translation (ignore the bottom one). It is weird that the new translation goes with "shadow fire" in this chapter, it rarely translates mushi names
>>291892841Thanks, OP
Bump for reading later
>>291893022The new version of that page is vastly better, anon must be tripping.
>>291890935It was worth it.

>>291914433Yes, the soil might contain mushi
CHAPTER 25: The Dawn Serpent
CHAPTER 25, The EndMan you can tell Yuki Urushibara has had someone with dementia in her life. I think this is one of the best chapters so far. Sometimes you can't just pull out the magic powder and make the mushi go away.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFgRZCA6Lf4
Since this is the end of the original book 5, an appendix will follow:
Of course she wants to see slime mold specimens lol

>>291915244YOU SWINDLED ME>>291915289God, so beautiful
>>291915200Yeah that made me cry. Dementia goes in my extended family, right now my grandma, eventually my mother and then me. Its weird to see how the person who you knew isn't there anymore, but their soul is. Their innermost self or something, its hard to explain. All things, living or not, end eventually. Im glad it was there in the first place, if nothing else.
>>291920248Write everything down anon, good luck
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXfwfUKTIPs
>>291915608>is it really likely that these random peasants would be literate?Allegedly about half the men in the late Edo period were literate, at least in cities. The mother being a professional weaver and the father a merchant, makes it plausible that the boy would have had an education to help with business
I never would have known about the collector's edition if not for these threads.I can finally get a complete physical collection, I thought I'd be missing volume 6 forever.
>>291846038That's the same pattern as Biwa in Heike monogatari. Down to the eyes being the source.I know many blind people became musicians and storytellers in buddhist cultures, but is there some sort of association with Biwa players being able to see the past and future? I get the past part can be an extension of oral history, but is there something else to this?
>>291823955>Remined me of the softer pieces in Naruto for some reason.it's the same composer. Masuda Toshio
Let's let this thread die so OP can make a fresh one tomorow, that's the cycle of mushi
>>291915365Thank you for the daily mushi, OP.
>>291920945how much you spent?
