Who's looking forward to this year? Will be interesting to see whether the El Niño causes major problems or causes a polar collapse. I'm in Europe, things look optimistic for January onwards.
Mt. Bachelor is my local hill and the forecasters still don't know if it's gonna be better or worse than normal this year. Last season was a disaster and at least it seems like it should be better than that. I'm really interested in getting into XC, I've done downhill since I was a kid but never that, and we've got good places for it plus it's much cheaper to do but it's also much more dependent on natural conditions.
PEOPLE OF THE SKI AREA! GIVE WINTER YOUR ENERGY!
I know it's just an early season dusting...... but we're so fucking back bros
>>272485i want to believe...
I got a winter job in Japan but i'm starting to have regrets..Not sure what gear to bring
>>272574bring deodorant. it's hard to find over there
>>272577the crystal/salt ones last forever, literally decades
>>272577You can get deodorant easily but antiperspirant is much harder to find. Not as big of a deal in the winter but it's essential when going in the summer as somebody from a dry area.
>>272574how do you stumble upon a winter Skii job in Japan? Did you sign up for it? Where are you from originally? I want to do a season over there.
>>272883I'm Australian. Nepotism was involved.I got my working holiday visa first and then searched for jobs.Honestly i've been studying Japanese for a few years so I would prefer a job with more chances to speak to Japanese people. If you are eligible for a working holiday visa you and apply to a bunch of places you may find a job
>>272352I'm so excited. First year with the ikon pass. My local dinky hill is also adding a new bowl area and lift. Not doing Japan this year - I'm not good enough in powder yet. But next year.
Thoughts on the Tyrolia Protector+ bindings? Will they save my ACL?
