How come gymnastics is targeted towards kids and not adults?

I know what you are
>>
once you have the mobility for it as a kid it's much easier to keep doing it through your life, if you try to do gymnastics as an adult with no experience youll just be frustrated as hell for months before achieving really anything worthwhile

Literally the same logic applies to yoga. And that exploded amongst adults yet has almost no child exclusive studios or classes. Also p
kids can't workout, but why shouldn't the same defeatism apply to lifting weights? It takes forever to achieve anything yet its almost abnormal to not do it now.

It's kind of boring unless you're already into it and an inefficient use of time for strength and physique gains versus weight training while requiring more space and more coaching. Schedule-wise, you'd have to run the kids' class at the same time as the parents' class for it to be logistically appealing, which requires even more space and staff.

Yoga doesn't require a specialized facility, or any facility or equipment at all.

it's literally tumbling daycare unless you're a select few with talent to compete at the local level.

Most individual sports are very Olympic focused. As such the idea is if you don't start early, you don't make it and it's no longer worth doing. So as a sport, it's hard to get an adult community growing because of that, plus everyone tends to peak very early on in life. It's hard for an adult to stay in gymnastics knowing they'll never be able to compete with their younger self. And unlike team sports, there's less of a "community" in recreational leagues.

Gymnastic type activities exist at later ages, but it's usually focused on show performances where there is less of a competitive push. So for example circus acts like Aerial and pole dancing is really popular with women. Or cheerleading with teens. Men like to do things like tricking, parkour, and break dancing, much of it incorporates gymnastic elements without them having to compete at a high level.

Yoga and weightlifting have direct health benefits and are relatively low impact. Gymnastics is a very high risk sport, and adults are slower to recover and quicker to get injured. It has fitness benefits, but you gain those same benefits doing yoga and weight lifting without having the risk of life changing injuries.

>yoga

Modern posture based yoga is just late 1800s gymnastics/early bodybuilding with an exotic aesthetic
Because kids learn faster and it stays with the for life
Oh goddamn it, how do these damn spoiler tags work

It would be too hard.
Most adults can't even do the full squat like the girl in the middle.

Yoga is easy and accessible. You don't really need to go all hardcore into it to get somewhere. It's basically "going to gym" equivalent of mobility sports. Same reason going to gym for your regular workout is popular while olympic weightlifting isn't

So you have zero understanding of the sport

>>268654
So you have absolutely zero understanding of yoga either
