Bob knew how to fight, for example he tore the shit out of that dolls head for a promo video once. That shit was hardcore.
At a certain size it just becomes too difficult to move your body effectively, even if you're on roids. That's why in open weight competitions like Pride the best fighters capped out at like 230lbs (Fedor, Cro Cop, Igor Vovchanchyn, Mark Coleman, etc.) and some were even successful while weighing substantially less (Wanderlei Silva, Dan Henderson).No matter how well conditioned you are, if you're 300lbs of muscle you're gonna gas out quickly. And apart from a few 0.00001% freak of nature, genetic outliers most guys aren't capable of being fast/explosive at that size. Freak levels of size can get you far, but at that very highest level you need a balance of good over all athleticism combined with elite level skills.
