what martial art should i do after taekwondo? i'm currently abt to be a black belt in ITF taekwondo and i noticed that it kinda sucks due to the lack of handwork.

ive been thinking of exploring either judo (since im pretty big) or eskrima (for grappling techniques and knifeplay). in general im looking for a style that is more hands-focused to go with the footwork of taekwondo

    Kickboxing.
Look, I might have a retarded vision of things here, but I see Taekwondo and Aikido as very similar martial arts. Laughed upon, misunderstood, with too many mcdojos and clowns. In short, ineffective. But what I also noticed when doing kickboxing is that taekwondo guys have a style that's powerful and unconventional. They have to adapt to some KB stuff, but some go into fights with a taekwondo style, almost like fencing with their leg, and it works. Kind of like this girl, but less obvious https://www.youtube.com/shorts/2ShTujCVJzc
So I think that Taekwondo is like a DLC for Kickboxing.
I mentioned Aikido because I think it's like a DLC for Judo and BJJ, but that's a whole other can of worms

Will you become an amazing all around fighter who can threaten competent fighters? Probably not

Can you kick a crackhead in the chest and make him rethink his decision? Probably yes

Not everyone has to be super optimal MMA guy

Since you have kicks boxing or kick boxing. Escrima seems cool but hard to find a good gym.

Combat Sambo if you can find, you can make Combat TKD!

boxing or any grappling martial art. boxing because taekwondo, no matter the type, has shitty punching technique and defense (check https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pn98RdwPw48 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nz-kU1X0Q2I, which are boxers beating taekwondoins from the ITF). grappling martial arts because you only know striking and MAYBE some takedowns (if your school actually teached you them), since you said you're big then any will do, though judo would be my main recommendation
    >>
Why not just boxing? TKD strikes suck, you want something hands focused..

My taekwondo instructor bundled it with judo while teaching combatives during the Korean War. Stateside, all of his taekwondo students were made to learn some judo and all his judo students learned some taekwondo. They seemed to go well together. I would prioritize judo over eskrima but do at least dabble in eskrima if you can because considerations change in an environment where weapons are a possibility and not every judo school is going to spend time on that.

I actually rate taekwondo if you enjoy it just carry on

    This

Obviously if you want to be well rounded do boxing or a grappling style . More urgently a grappling style

I went to Muay Thai and Judo after TKD, but I was doing ITF Competition and Hapkido on world level. If you are WTF you need learn real footwork and urgency.
