Sometimes I feel like our belief in the paranormal and conspiracy theories is nothing more than a form of copium for our own mortality and our mediocre, meaningless lives.

this is the core purpose of many things in people's lives, but what does it actually change if it's the case? in the end, it serves it's purpose, and whether these things actually exist in a concrete observable manner was always subjective and never guaranteed to begin with. so even if it is 100% cope, there is no practical reason not to continue exploring or enjoying it in whichever way you see fit
