Few things elicit more disgust in me than those low IQ, pretentious syncretists who purport to equate spiritualities that are vastly different from each other, without having a tenth of the knowledge, wisdom and epistemological humility that would be required for such an endeavor. They add confusion and ignorance to the world, they mislead the impressionable, and they don't care about it. They want to sate their huge egos by grandstanding as these visionary scholars who found a big secret by pointing out superficially similar patterns.

They feign to ignore the very real and very relevant disagreements. They can be compared to the globalists who erase cultures by merging them into one big undifferentiated mud. Thus rich philosophical divergences are ignored and watered-down, to make reality less complex and less offensive to midwits. They swarm on the internet like maggots festering on the corpse of intelligence. In a sane world these attention-seekers and grifters would be put to work in the fields. They're even here, on this forum, posing as deep thinkers. Exercise discernment.

is this leading up to something better than "love thy neighbor" or are you adding confusion and ignorance to the world?

truth is mutagenic
truth can be outsourced under consent
place these perceived ashes in the past, not the future
tomorrow they may call it a lantern
then they'll call it an alien

Syncretism's not the problem so much as the plebs who attempt it. Even Sutton Hoo had the Pheonix on his helmet.

issue both of you seem to be dancing around is a lot of occultists tend to reach a point of just treating the art as a toothless philosophy and treat what they believe as whats most comforting rather than even humoring the possibility of an ugly reality being hidden under there.

and those types tend to be both infuriating and an active annoyance to those who actually believe the answer to the question actually could matter.

humans are selfish cowards who tend to just vent from even considering as possibility's stuff that actually scares them so when it comes to their sacred cows the most "wrong" they will even humor tends to hash out to the question being pointless.
the most a typical christian will even consider on their afterlife being wrong is usually just an atheistic people just stop existing after death or some saccharine spiel on people being bad enough to even need a hell being fake and everyone goes to heaven.
a dead christian dropping down in hell in front of a demon and being told they got the egyptian or mexican scales tipped for the righteous but have to journey to heaven themselves afterlife is going to have their mind blown just one or two steps off being right.
one outright told they were completely wrong and jesus was a madman a false prophet or an entirely aware antichrist whose church was a fake protection from very real enemies is likely to go completely mad on the spot.

depressing reality of occultism is it aims to find what religions claim to know such the two are at each others throats as openly as they even want to admit the conflict.
because most religions dumped their actual occult knowledge hundreds of years ago from it just refusing to fit in the pleasant little box religion wanted it to.
and the ultimate answer itself being the slightest bit pleasant is out of the question as soon as things like evidence even have a say.
>>
>>43146649
part of these issues is that debate typically requires an ability to actually parse information for internal consistency that is very rare among humans in practice.
but a lot of groups have serious clout locked in selling themselves as authorities on a number of topics they are slinging some serious bull on and are determined to bother the former.

to try and put in perspective the level of confusion in occultism and its various attempts at syncretism.

lets say just tomorrow it finally breaks headlines that a missing continent with a whole dead civilization on it is found between Australia and south america.
this being possible was because of a collection of massive pillars around the continent that fried any satellites that tried to pass overhead or boats that tried to pass that seem to have finally run dry.
the remaining security measures of the place have had months of governments failing to breach them before announcement but considering even dangerous wildlife seems walled off we have complete run of the places poorer or general civilian areas.
and the place had an entirely different understanding of how how electronics worked that got up to an insane level of overall automation of the place.
warehouses stacked to the brim with metals granaries overflowing oceans of oil even bakeries just needing a clean up for the machinery to hum right back to life.
feds have all come up empty handed on what actually killed the people as far as we can tell their security measures seem to have kept whatever it was out successfully enough to space corpses out by hundreds of years by level of barrier hid behind.
and the tech seems to be the kicker initial discovery was from barriers blinking out killing satellite navigation in the area enough for a number of confused boats passing by to wander in and come out with whatever they could find really.
>>
I find it funny that occultism is not supposed to be talked about in the first place

rather than figuring out electromagnetism at all far as we can tell they seem to have figured out driving an altogether unknown law of physics electrically.
That is capable of driving metals to bend along layers of bimetal junctions capable of creating self reinforcing artificial muscles whose only real limits on strength and durability is how much of this force the materials themselves can withstand. Attempts to simply blow up the islands deeper defenses have shown a number of its constructs to have the strength to crush tanks fairly easily. and its material science hardly falls behind either this force seems to break a number of previously considered atoms into component parts and some mystery of this process allowed them to make batterys that hold months of a citys power needs. The technical writers of whatever newsfronts are in with the governments deep enough to break this story only really give enough details to crudely replicate the basic components of this new electro whatever force or point to more detailed papers on federal reverse engineering projects.

exposure of all this to the public is precisely because a number of governments want to loot the island but between the extreme automation and failure to beat its defenses they consider it highly likely colonization could accidentally knock out whatever wrench in the gears broke the outermost barrier to begin with and trap the colonists inside, risk letting whatever apocalypse they suffered out or run into a surviving portion of the populace of a vastly technologically superior race.

gone off on a tangent here havent i why does this sound familiar

the "nice" answers pretty much ran out. There are very few ways to put our general confusion on the topic alone into realities where it has good reason and best that really could exist is we were told the important bits but stupid selfish people just threw that knowledge out for being mean cause that leaves the monsters in the system to just the ones that have to be ruling us to even begin explaining this disaster.

evil existing and winning is simply where pulling your head out your ass and beginning to take even the crudest accounts of whats actually going on in the world leads to and most people just choose to believe whatever bold faced lies let them feel the best personally.

whites are pretty soundly just blamed for everything nowadays but seem the most completely fucking miserable people with the overall state of the world and where its going by far.
and these miserable men seem to be by far the only ones with even a remote clue the hells even going on anymore. the communist people who seem the only allowed avenue for discontent after voting mostly just repeat blame whites for everything and seem to struggle conceptualizing why whites seem to have left them in the dust as far as being an actual escape from the system that every gods damned one else in it seems to utterly refuse to accept they genuinely fucking hate.

pol is a gods damned ocean of racist miserable men dropping the most accurate info you can find in this hellhole on why things are getting worse and who's responsible for it that the entire fucking rest of the worlds seemed to make it their personal reason to be to try and convince they actually want this disgusting dystopian hell hole somehow in what is altogether the saddest most infuriating display i have ever seen

why the absolute fuck do faggots so adamantly refuse to admit racist white men genuinely fucking hate them cause being fucking faggots seems the only real connecting thread between all this but it just is that side

Well to be fair most esoteric fags are like this
They read a couple of books and they think they know everything
That's /x/: esoteric vagueposting

Of course there's nothing more intelligent than a guy who gets his ego from reducing life to believing whatever trivial information he's told by a third party. Fucking hylics every time.

You aren't humble, OP, you're a neurotic normie compensating his blind faith in bad information with haughtiness. Take notice how people who have OP's opinions are always toking masturbators with no morals who worship Baphomet and call Lucifer a good thing actually.

I see this a lot with conspiratainment podcasts. They love tobthrow in all the buzzwords that essentially turn a vast field into a single monolith.
Im listening to Isaac Weishupt right now, he is doing a occult movie review of Hereditary. Within the first 20min he has talked about Theospohy, Freemasonry, Aleister Crowley, Rosicrucianism, Heremticism like they are all the same thing whose practices, symbols, and ideas are all the same and interchangeable. Its kind of impressive.
Another time I was listening to Nephilim Death Squad and those idiots were conflating Thor, Odin, and Zeus as though they were all the same character. This shit is rampant. All it does is get these fools to shout "satanism!" or "gnosticism!" at every thing they disagree with.

The problem is that occultism isn’t what it started out as, and is an umbrella term. Nobody talks about the rituals and festivals and ceremonies that are absent from our society. There is no Mayday type “pairing up” of men and women, there is no recognition of any person who has ability, holiness, wisdom, or even is just a standard respectable man or woman, we have graduations and birthdays, both cheap and hollow.

Religion wasn’t flipped to Christianity overnight, and much of the pagan lifestyle was translated over to Christianity, because people wouldn’t leave the traditions, because that was their whole life, even without the gods. So there was a sort of sloppy stair step away from the Old Ways. When you really delve into it, tons of stuff has been sacrificed on the altar of Christianity, and all of it leads to where we are now. “You are mad, you are not like us.” That is what the zealots said when they killed innocent sinless Pagans for the sins of Christ.

The hidden nature of it is due in part to this, but even before that, the knowledge was meant to be kept secret, normies were kept under the wise elders, the magic men, and the wisdom of the wise was heeded.

We can’t go back to the ancient pagan ways, the story has changed, we figured that out long ago, but we can keep moving foreward knowing, with a tiny speck, barely fit to called an emeber, nearly ash, a fable, a fantasy, but we know, a monster in the darkness is named hope, and if every letter and word was erased, still would remain the wyrd, and in eternal torment we could imagine ourselves happy, and if we die, we live again, and after us our children, brothers, kin, frens, will all live on. You need not make excuses, or justifications for this small thing, this one thing we know, just belive it, because it’s true.

>>43147695
Best bet is to barely read anything, just bits and pieces, and know you know nothing except everything that you know is true.

You felt accused by the disdainful glare of reason and are now coping with random accusations in an attempt to protect your fragile ego. How about you debate each other about which religion is secretly another one? Explain how the nords were actually buddhists and how the egyptian religion is secretly taoism and how Jesus totally travelled to wherever the fuck you think it would be nice. Entertain us.
>>
>>43147734
>>43147868
I actually agree with the guy you’re calling a glowfag in part. The mass piling of slopfeed conspiracy videos on top of each of them mentioning EVERYTHING is meant to make people tired of them, overwhelmed, and unable to earnestly research a topic rather than listening to related content as entertainment.

Turning on a lot of the content these days is a crapshoot, even creators who I know are good aligned and “with it” sometimes release videos that are just the same old thing and filler.

This also aligns with the “internet” thread. As once things were different and separate in many places, now everything is connected, like a web, so the lore must consider every part.
>>
>>43147987
You are blinded by shapes and shadows and cannot see reality.

All religions are manifestations of the same thing. The same force the same eternal blueprint of “religious thought” that mankind in his ever growing knowledge attempts to make sense and make known. In thy hearts of man there contains a blueprint of “religious thought”that continually refines itself through the eons though innumerable lives and cultures until true truth and knowledge is obtained.

Every religious thought and school a current impermanent manifestation of man attempt at grasping the metaphysical. It always changes and always transforms in something new based on the old it came from like all life and creation.

To sit there and mock others while believing these religions are somehow independent permanent unchanged features of creations is absurd and you are a midwit pseudo who blinded himself to realizing truth because you mentally associated syncretism with new age wackos.

Self defeat without a fight.
>>
>>43146896
OP is right especially about so-called "occultists" pretending that is one singular thing.
And soon after your post of course we get "mystic" and "esoteric" thrown in as if all these words are interchangeable.
Fucking idiots.

The more you study comparative religion and the history of these practices, the more likely you'll become something somewhat syncretist esque at least. I agree there are often (major) contradictions, which is why a lot just become discordian or a flavor of gnostic if they care to notice it.
>>
>>43148102
Only if you come into it with some arrogant and foolish notion that there is only one "real" model (that you can discern while all these things failed) and any notion of similarity or parallel MUST be pointing to this singular aspect.
That's wrong.
It's more like music and genre.
The more you look at rock, the more you see the similarities and shared aspects between musicians and styles.
But it would be dumb to then conclude "there is actually only one rock song and all these people are just giving their interpretation of it."
