Is there anything spiritual about this? My dad and his wife are boomer hippies who do all these crystal rocks and "positivie vibes" and are sort of self-proclaimed gurus with all wisdom of the 4th dimension and energy realms and all that bullshit. I vaguely remember him speaking of furniture arrangements and energy and spirits or something. Well let me tell you, when I went in there, I felt very oppressed and unable to settle or be calm or relaxed anywhere. It was like a maze of oppression and weird insecurity. Are there any wizards here thay can weigh in on this? Priests?
>>43140357You dont ever want chairs to have their backs to open doorways, as the chinese equivalent of gnomes can sneak up on you and steal your dog soup.
>>43140357If picrel is their house, they are definitely not really invested in the idea of feng shui amd any real energy balance practice. Look at the machine produced "art" and you'll see how spiritually devoid the room is.
>>43140690At second glance maybe they're handmade, but it's still soulless dogshit.
>>43140357well, ask yourself why they would be so into positive vibes and create a home that makes you feel so oppressed and weird? either they really suck at it, are listening to advice that creates the opposite of what they desired or… they are liars and cultivated a negative home on purpose and the feng shui works. fwiw never put your bed with your feet facing the door, just good advice doesn’t need to be chinese furniture magic.
>>43140690Feng Shui has nothing to do with the quality of your artwork but rather about what is depicted, and on which walls. Look up common feng shui cures.>>43140357Without OP's kua number or those of his parents, and indication of the orientation of this room (which way's north?) providing a cure for this room arrangement is not possible. That said OP could simply be an operative paid to ruin the feng shui of this board by denigrating crystals, positive vibes, and higher realms. Notice there is a concerted effort on this board to make you seek lower realms and the beings who dwell there.
>>43143871>denigrating crystals, positive vibes, and higher realmsor turning a curious eye towards the behavior of misguided idolaters, and the real-world effects of an egotistical dabbler into what's behind the curtain
>>43144651please point to the "idol" in the op? there's not even any iconographic art, even the strictest muslim should be happy
my mom just decorated her living room based on what chat GPT told her to and I cant help but be irked by it whenever I go in there
>>43140357Stop labeling your dad, and stop labeling people. He’s your dad, and if he likes Fung shi or whatever, then consider yourself extremely lucky because most people don’t even know their dad. The last time I lived with my dad he was having me walk to the gas station at 8 am for beers and crack. Stop crying. It could be worse.
>>43140357Feels contorted and crowded. The abstract black and white bullshit paintings don't help. Those lamps can be replaced by ceiling elements. Those two small glass tables have no purpose other than holding the other redundant shit (the small plants), you literally can't put a toothpick in there. You could replace the couches with a single larger one facing the TV. The white drawer below the TV and the stuff on it seems to be the most sane element. The table in front also looks ok but it's too close to the weirdly shaped couch. Can't see how you'd sit there.
>>43144970>most people don’t even know their dadNow I'm supposed to make a joke about your skin color, but it would be too cheap. Most people do, in fact, know their dad. >consider yourself extremely luckyIt's more likely that you're unlucky. >Stop crying. It could be worse. That is true. Indeed, it could. Not OP btw.
>>43144970>it could always be worsespoken like a true boomer. gonna start beating things now?
pretty wild that only one anon itt even knows what feng sui is and everybody else is misspelling it and giving random advicewouldn't know sha chi if it hit you in the face

how can you balance the energy of a home in such a way that it makes you feel oppressed and unrelaxed? do you guys think they used some weird native american shaman-type ritual and opened up the ghostbusters trap?
put
>>43140699>maybe they're handmade, but it's still soulless dogshit.well, we are in a thread about a chinese philosophy thing...
>>43140357Highly unlikely that it's fengshui affecting your mood, but you can read up on it and perform your own fengshui audit and see if it helps. It is however, a complex field and as the kua anon implies ("gua" actually), it's also tied to Taoist systems of calculation. There are also some who say it shouldn't be practised, because it's a superficial alteration of destiny (meaning to say you'll still get what's coming regardless), and that the effort is better spent on doing charity or on one's own cultivation.
