This is as old as it comes, dancing baby from 1996

If you want pre-internet memes, check out Kilroy Was Here (a simple face and slogan written all over the world by US GIs during WWII) and 23 Skidoo, which was effectively 67 (number based nonsense slogan) but all the way back in 1906

A bonus interesting fact: Poland uses "xD" constantly up to today even though the rest of the internet barely uses it

Milhouse himself isn't a meme, but the phrase "Milhouse is not a meme" is.

At least 23 and skidoo seemed to originally mean something, 6 7 is gibberish.

5150 is a great album BTW.

I'd argue it's as meaningful as 67 when you combine "23" and "skidoo" together. 67 was originally a(n admittedly stupid) hip hop lyric, it wasn't just a kid saying the numbers out of thin air. Which again is pretty crazy that there was a very popular post ironic meme in the presidency of Teddy Roosevelt.

Also OP, I remembered another (literally) ancient meme. It's a so called "Sator Square". It was a palindrome thing found throughout the early Roman Empire and it goes
    S A T O R
    A R E P O
    T E N E T
    O P E R A
    R O T A S
Which roughly translates to "Sator the farmer uses and works his wheels [likely metonymy for plow]". Theories range from it being a magic charm, to an early Christian dogwhistle, to just being a catchy thing to write.

In the UK during rationing, they used to draw the same lil guy and he would always say, "wot no bananas?" or "wot no milk?" or whatever was lacking at the time

What truly happened to him? Was he abused?

    >>1578346
afaik he really did off himself over not owning an ipod, but I don't know if he was being bullied by classmates over it or something similar.

I looked this up, and it’s not actually confirmed that he killed himself over the ipod… there doesn’t seem to be an explanation available. There was mention of an ipod in the comments of his obituary page, and somebody ran with the premise until everyone believed it. He might’ve been getting abused or bullied or something, it certainly makes more sense than doing it over an ipod. Kinda fucked up, I feel bad for him now.
