I really wanted to like Marathon, loved the art, liked the music and atmosphere, but the gameplay is just boring as ass.If they did something like a TDM shooter with some superpowers and verticality a la Gotham City Imposters then I would've been sold hard. "Extraction shooter" is just ass. I've only liked Hunt Showdown and that's only because there's not so much walking between action scenes.
quality of the game and the plagiarism scandal aside, I really do like the artstyle of Marathon

Given that this game has been a miserable commercial failure so far, it might have, what, one or two years left at most before it gets shut down? I can only hope someone at least finds away to preserve some of the game's environments but I'm not optimistic.

Really cool visuals.The cinematics for the Marathon game is really fucking cool.The animation are made by the same guy (Alberto Mielgo) who made like 2 "Love, Death and Robots" episodes (Jibaro and The Witness). So well done!
