Hello fellow /w/eebs. After a three year hiatus, we'll be looking to revive in the upcoming Autumn Babby Cup.

    >>what the hell are you talking about
A sitewide simulated AI vs AI soccer/football tournament where teams represent the boards of 4chan. All players are various trends and memes of each board that are modded to look the part of what it is they represent

    Here's an example:
    https://implying.fun/video/spring23q/2023-04-21/?t=39:18.0

Pretty much everything about the team all gets decided by what people on the board suggest and vote for. So you're interested in our representation in the cup, here's the place to give out those hot opinions.
    https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfPLkldxhFoWCS3xWWpwSz_85toUfwq7YkjklgxUVA1UvA4zA/viewform

If you have a suggestion, leave it in this thread so that others can see. The poll is more or less a confirmation of the board's opinion.

    Go away faggot.
We get like 15 posts a day if we're lucky, take your esports shit elsewhere.

Also, you're papes are shit. You should have at least put some effort in.

    No thanks

So I've been ignoring this thread because I just don't care but its starting to be a problem.
/w/ isn't a place for shit flinging or high amounts of interaction. You check the board, go through the catalogue, click on a thread that catches your interest, save a pape if you see one you like and drop a wallpaper of your own if you have one to share. This is done most of the time in complete silence.
/w/ has never been a place for high interaction, we don't really talk aside for a 'nice pape' or 'good taste' or an occasional piece of critique about someone's choice of cropping or the ratio they use or if someone decides to stretch their wallpaper.
This being said I've noticed people being actively vocal against the idea of the team. I don't know if they're genuine or not but I'd also like top point out some oddities I've noticed about this thread.

These two posts happened within two minutes of one another.
    >>2270748
    >>2270749
And these two posts happened within five minutes of each other
Like I said earlier, /w/ isn't a board for high interaction. The board as a whole barely breaks twenty posts most days. For this specific thread to get two instances of sequential posts (before the ones I'm doing intentionally) seems really odd to me.
    >>
    Then there's these two posts
    >>2270749
    >>2270511
It's the same wallpaper but at a different times of the day, this isn't necessarily that odd because I know some people make pape variants sets in the same location usually set in different seasons or themes, but a soccer field? I don't know where these come from, the only that shoes for me is something called ever lasting Summer or some old soccer RP thread on an old forum.
The fact that there these oddities really do make it seem like this a genuine case of same fagging or some other coordinated effort either off board or site.
Also I'd like to point out that for a thread that's asking for suggestions for the team, the factg that hasn't been a single one. in twenty two days is really damning in show how really interested people are.

In conclusion I'd just like to say that this whole thread smells fishy to me, and that goes both ways.
I don't care if this team happens or not, I won't be watching it. I just want /w/ to stop being spammed by potentially disingenuous anons on either side of this pointless argument.

This is /w/, just post your papes and go.

New kits look nice, but I will miss the End of Evangalion kit and its alternate faces

So, we will be playing in the cup — we were drawn into Group H alongside /co/, /tv/, and /an/. We will play today our first game at around 21:40 UTC against /tv/, as the last game of the day. More or less 2 hours from now.

I will also list the “few” significant changes that were made on the team:
    - due to the GSSBB system, Vectors was promoted back as a bronze player.
    - Two new players (KyoAni Finds a Way & Kogecha).
    - due to the Azumanga Daioh thread being bumped off the catalog, we made a last minute call to make them a rep as 'This Legendary Thread Survived Six Years', replacing the YKK rep from 3 years ago.
    - A new victory anthem: Vanilla Salt.
    - Tons of new faces (well, papes) and goalhorns. Some of them are making comebacks too.
    - A metric ass-ton of new kits: at present, we have about 84 kits, all made from wallpapers and ready to go. But since PES has limitations in the kit-display department, we have selected nine for the base export. A few rotations are planned.

We hope to see you supporting the team and having fun. Finally, I’ll leave you with the wallpaper that served as the base material for the kit that will very likely be used in our first game. I will link the stream in due time.

And here we go : https://isthisliv.com/4cc/stream.html
Once again, hope you'll have fun.

And that's a loss, 4-2 for /tv/. Nonetheless, it was a really fun game. Our next game will be against /an/ next Friday.
